Day 1 player still wtihout Eironn Mythic+, most elusive hero for me :X. Im still in champions arena, but mostly me doing some absolutely wacky lineups that ppl dont know how to play against, which I had eironn tho. Great vid
Dam, that's rough, kind of same thing happened to me with Caro, so I built Bryon instead as a second dps for my Eironn comp. Well, at least figuring out wacky lineups can be fun!
Great video, watched it all and you have a lot of great insights. Do you have a discord or in game friend ID that we can add if you would like to share that? Also, I don't have Bryon built up, who would you suggest as substitutes? Would Caro or Alsa work typically?
Hey, I don't have discord currently, but you can probably find me in game by searching "elfe" :) Yeh many people don't have bryon, the typical hero that 2dps eironn comps use is Carolina (good for the faction bonus with thoran and nice damage). Alsa should also work, she can deal a lot of damage and if u swap thoran for shakir, nice faction bonus also. I understand that the best combo with Alsa is Eironn, Ulmus, Alsa, Arden + flex pick, but I have not tested that because my ulmus is not m+. If you have Parissa, she could also work as a second dps, or you can run 2 healer + arden + eironn + thoran, but that might be a bit weak.
Ah a fellow soul without Scarlita. Great video by the way! I invested in Phraesto instead of Scarlita, so I'm trying to make him work on this map with Carol and Arden but the jumbled mess that comes out after getting hit with Eironn is a nightmare. Especially when you're trying to keep everyone in the 'non-swap' zones. This game needs a testing area... Any suggestions here? I'd love to get a better understanding of how Eironn's tornado works when it's basically clumping 5-6 units. Is Phraesto on this map just a bust? I'm already compromising his shield since he cannot support two units and be on the same row. I can go back to Thoran, but my Phraesto is +20 and my Thoran is only +5. My server is also absolutely loaded with people running the Scarlita comp with Hewynn and Damien.
Yeh, I went Reinier first and now I'm building Scarlita, but that will take time as f2p and I've pretty much had to pity summon my every hypo/celestial 😅 Phraesto for pvp is interesting for sure, I don't see him that often, but couple of people did use him in top 20 of my server. Right now I'm having most trouble with Talene teams. I can try to think some ideas on how I would use Phraesto, but obviously you probably know better, because you have more experience in using him.
@@ElfeYT I have Talene as well but I found the Eironn Arden team will eat her alive and interrupt her too often. Not to mentioned Scarlita hard counters her revive and 95% of Top 20 in my server has an S+ Scarlita. Is it that specific comp in your video that is elevating Talene's performance? Do you have some footage? And I can use him okay in terms of strategic placement, it's overcoming the jumbled mess that comes after Eironn's ult that turns a solid formation into a terrible one. Even when Carolina is at the back she can get ejected to the front, which makes everything fall apart. I was hoping to better understand how Eironn's vacuuming and expanding of units works, and also if moving Eironn around made a difference to this as well.
@@ElPokieboy Yeh, it's hard to understand what exactly affects where Eironn will ult in a situation where multiple spots will hit same number of units, from my testing, the spot that he select just does not make 100% sense. My best guess is that, his initial position will affect it the most (I can try to do more testing on this), because from what I have seen is that the more left he is placed on defense when battle starts, he tends to also ultimate on the left side (but there could be also some other factors like what units does his ult hit, because I've seen some strange things when Damian is placed in front most position when attacking). Now when It comes to setting defense against Eironn, it's really hard to innovate, because your spaces where you can place units is so limited if you don't want to be Reinier swapped. The "Expanding units" after Eironn ult can be really annoying yes and I can imagine it's much worse with Phraesto. It's very possible/likely that Talene is not as good as she seems to me, because there is not many teams running her and the ones that are have high level heroes and because I don't have Scarlita/Ulmus currently.

With that said, Lily May is right around the corner. Maybe she can shake things up? Regarding Talene, I think there are maybe 1 out of 20 teams in Top 20 on my server using her. @@ElPokieboy imgur.com/a/NuZMlbw first set of tests, I did 8 fights using exactly same units in same spots against different Eironn teams and the defender ult seems to always land in 1 of the 2 spots, I just don't understand how he chooses between the two spots, but it seems based on this test, that if he is on the left most row, he chooses the 1 spot forward

Yeh I understand that, You can use other tanks instead of him in same position for attacking (like Ulmus,Thoran,Granny) and win against most Eironn comps, but I feel like he is really important at winning against Scarlita teams, so that's why I was mostly using him (also because my hero selection is limited). I will most likely do more videos on normal/supreme arena with different teams in the future.
use thoran instead, the key thing is positioning, vala and the reinir swap with odie not shakir, allthough he is a good option in this case cuz he can’t be controlled during his wolf form.
There are some questions. (I'm f2p too. and It's been 2 days season started.) Should I go M+ reinier 10+? (I'm interested in Arena rankings and I wonder his 10+ is useful.) What do you think about raising Silvina to S+ and strengthening her exclusive weapon? (I see your Silv is M+, so i wonder that) Are there any characters you plan on doing for 20+? Hey, 1)Silvina, as you say my silvina is only M+ and I don't use her currently, she is kind of only useful in PVP so I have not prioritized upgrading her. I can't really say how strong she will be with S+ +10 weapon, but I might be able to test that soon, I upgraded her to S+ today and I will do some testing in supreme arena in couple of days (but I won't upgrade her weapon right away, because I have other heroes I want to upgrade first). Her issue is that the targeting is a bit all over the place and if enemy is running Thoran and you run double assassins, they can get one-shot by thoran and then you don't have enough damage to kill him before time runs out. 2)Reinier is really good in Dream Realm once he reaches M+, he does not need to be upgraded past M+ because the benefit after that is not that great. He is really effective in pvp attacking at any level, if people don't protect their units, but he is not normally used for pvp defense and sometimes he does nothing on pvp offense if defending units are placed properly. Upgrading him to +10 can help, because it gives him more hp and it gives the swap target +25% defense, but you can first test using him without the upgrade. 3) Currently I don't have any +20 characters, the issue is that the investment is so high to go from +10 to +15 (I think you need 200 temporal essence), where as going from +5 to +10 is only 75 temporal essence. My plans is to go +10 for at least couple more heroes (Alsa, maybe Vala etc) and then I will think about upgrading 1 hero to +20 (most likely Scarlita).
I've noticed the Shakir, Arden, Reiner, Damien and Eironn defense team, are not surviving the "new" meta that includes Lily Mae! Have you experienced that same thing?
I guess it depends on your server if there are a lot of people who are using Lily May. I would think that most Eironn + DPS defense teams struggle against Lily May because big part of these teams is the Eironn + Arden combo, If Eironn ult gets blocked that slows down Arden a lot. One small change would be to drop Reinier and bring in Bryon (to block the Lily May interrupt). Currently I'm testing a team with Thoran in place of Reinier and Bryonn in place of Eironn. It does win here and there.
Hey another question, do you know any replacement for Shakir on defense? Could Vala work with the defense you are using? Placing her behind Reiner with enlightening?
hmm... yeh for defense it might a bit hard to replace him if you want to use that formation. Good thing about Shakir being in that spot is also that Assassins like vala will target him, if you have your Vala in that spot, she could die easily to attackers Vala. I would be interested in testing Temesia/Soren instead of him, I guess you could try Brutus aswell but honestly I have no idea how they would work. I have seen similar defense team that was using Alsa instead of Shakir, it was ok, but if you are testing it with second dps, I would maybe move Eironn to the back where Shakir is. Yeh it does, you can test in AFK stage with Scarlita - the next unit gets the blue glow effect from enlightening and the sword icon to indicate the attack speed buff. It's a bit strange that it works that way, because it does not ignore Damian, even tho they both leave the battlefield
I think it depends what you want to do. For attacking you can easily do the same placements I was showing with Shakir and use Thoran or probably granny and win most attacks against typical Eironn + DPS teams. Shakir in my experience is great against these teams because he is CC immune once he ults and he is tanky enough to take on Scarlitas sometimes (if buffed with other defensive effects like Thoran link/Koko/Awakening spell/Reinier buff/Hewynn). Unfortunately my hero pool is pretty limited because I'm f2p, so I haven't done any testing with tanks like Temesia. Also Ulmus + Eironn + 2 dps (alsa/arden) can potenttialy kill the enemy team so fast, that Scarlita comes down early and is less powerful.
