    Wow...well once again you just blew me away. The Limos are wild. I loved the suspension on these. Some Matchbox had it to. They were fun as a kid with little ramps. The bounce, who would land and win the jump races. So many memories. Unfortunately I dont have my youth collection. I do have a couple older Majorette cars with the fat tires. One is a white mobile racer. I also got a jeep 4x4 in a lot I bought off eBay. It was the only Majorette in it. But I was happy to get it. Those police cars with the working lights....also amazing. The ambulance NY city is so wicked.
    If there is a die cast Hall of Fame....YOU ARE A FIRST BALLOT ENTRY. 👍👍👍👍

    I was HOPING you'd do a Majorette video. THANK YOU.
    I live in Wisconsin and the only retailer that had Majorette was our Toys R Us. I was so happy we finally got them. Our Wal-Mart's never sold Majorette. Unless I missed out. Maybe after TRU closed. Either way this is why I love this channel. Awesome cars and a TON OF INFORMATION. I appreciate your knowledge of die cast cars and the creator's of them. I never knew all that about Majorette. Probably due to out of sight out of mind. Once I got heavier into die cast I started looking into all manufacturers. Add to it your video's, and a few others I got a good idea there was a LOT more out there. Companies that failed and closed. But still had great cars. So please keep up the great work. Your far beyond just entertaining. You provide a lot of information. THANK YOU.

    Majorettes and Matchbox cars were my childhood, Hot Wheels came much later when i started to collect diecast cars again.
    This is a great collection. Sadly, i only kept a handful of my played cars, the rest are lost in time or given away. Thanks for this video!

    I had a couple of Majorette cars of the "Matchbox" scale as a child (still have them) and recall the brand with fondness. I honestly wasn't aware until now of the broad range of scales produced by Majorette so thanks for the enlightenment. It seems they have had a bit of misfortune over the years (such as the factory rebuild and the TRU fiasco you mentioned), despite them producing great models. Here in NZ we still have some of the more recent models available at a couple of stores, but they don't seem to be getting actively restocked. Majorette's RACING CARS line over the past couple of years is my favourite - the WRC cars are especially good with their realistic rally tampos. All the best and enjoyed your video =)

    Very nice collection! A other type of majorette wheel is the ''hudcap'' style. Produce in the 60s. I have a few sample in my collection with this type of wheel. A yellow citroen / maserati SM, a blue datsun 260z, a plymouth police car and a Jaguar E type :) I'm quite jealous of your unique military vehicules and the car at 4:30, she looks pretty!

    In my country town in Australia the only place you could buy these in the 80s to early 90s was the chemists (drug store for North Ameracans). Great memories of these making you feel better after picking up medicine when crook. I've seen these in Toyworld in Ballarat with pretty good rotation over the last few months but still more of a fan of the originals.

    I had a few hand me down sonic flashers as a kid, those batteries did last really long, I was playing with them back in the early to mid 2000s. Really neat gimmick! I alwayed prized the few 90s majorette’s I had.

    Majorette we’re rare to have in shops when I was a kid mostly matchbox and corgi but I did have a few they had the best suspension, the casting could be a bit brittle, they often came with extras like trailers with boats.

    Great selection of cars on display... I have had some Majorettes in my collection and used to play with them... also I remember they were one of the few brands in 1:64 scale which offered opening doors hoods etc. and had suspension. The variety of models was also varied from normal cars to tractors and trucks... infact I have restarted collecting majorettes recently and even did a review of one of their theme sets. Lovely video and as my motto goes.. collect and show!!!

    2:57 We can see your "Plymouth Police", a casting lauched in March 1973. Your variation is from 1979. Rarest variation ever is a KHAKI Plymouth with a number on the hood, released in 1976 in USA and Canada in Super Singles blisterpacks. Super Singles and Super Tandems cards read "Distributed by Charles Merzbach Company, NYC".

    I started looking at Majorette cars when they came out with the Sonic Flashers. I still have several that still activate, as you said, over 20 years later. Having just recently started collecting again and realized that I have a couple of the military versions still on the card. Great series but were heavily undervalued here in the US when they started. Great episode.

    Something I grew up with too. I like how their die cast buses and trucks are compatible in size with their 1:64 cars whereas Matchbox, Tomica & Hotwheels had buses in much smaller scale. And way back in 1984 my dad bought me a Renault Taxi but was stolen. A few years ago I managed to get it back, thanks to Ebay and the internet. Also lost a green Paris bus while moving house but got it back the same way.

    I'm surprised Hasbro hasn't thought of buying majorette because think about it, Currently in the USA, MATTEL has a monopoly for toy cars aimed at children yet Hasbro is the leading toy company in the USA yet they don't have a diecast brand, if they did buy majorette, they would become king since Hasbro has been trusted by many families for years now for price and high quality, and that's what's majorette's goal has been as well.

    • @MrWolfSnack
      @MrWolfSnack 6 лет назад

      They wouldn't even have to buy them completely, they could just buy the distribution rights and then both companies make money. And if Majorette wants to cancel USA involvement again then they can and it's no big loss to them.

    • @majorettediecast
      @majorettediecast 2 года назад

      Do you really believe that Hasbro didn't consider that? There's colossal market research to evaluate whether the money spent is worth it and/or it would bring more profit being invested in other toy areas.

    Thanks for showing your nice collection:-) I have a small collection of Majorette cars from the 70 sand 80s. Some of them never been opened from the blister cards. I do think the quality from the 70s and 80s are the best with opening parts, the working suspensions and metal base and same size as Hot Wheels and Matchbox. From mid 90s and up till today the quality differs, e.g. going from metal base to plastic and the metal base IMO from the 90s are slightly thinner. And today’s Majorette seems slightly bigger, just like German Siku, than Hot Wheels and Matchbox. I definitely like the size better from Hot Wheels and Matchbox better than Majorette and Siku. And I think Majorette today focuses to much on French cars - or at least they used to back in the 90s and early 2000s. And I’m not really a fan of a French cars although some of the cars today actually are quite good looking IMO. But I would never buy a French car though. But I guess you don’t see many French cars on the road as a Canadian or in the US for that matter. Have you any new 2018/2019 Majorette cars not featured in the video or are you out collecting them and what are your thoughts on the new Majorettes? I do like the new Majorettes. I just think it’s a shame they don’t have a “premium” line with metal base and rubber wheels and the and still not a fan of the size of the cars. But I’m thinking of starting to collect or buy at least some of the cars that I like. Only thing is in Denmark Majorette is pretty hard to find as well as Hot Wheels and Matchbox. 1/64 diecast collecting isn’t very popular in Denmark. In Europe 1/64 scale isn’t very popular amongst collectors

    It's not Majorettes fault for failing, it's just cheap parents buying hot wheels and Chinese brand cars as they claim it keeps $$$ in their pocket, if they want toys that last forever and don't break and have high quality, get majorette!

    • @MrWolfSnack
      @MrWolfSnack 6 лет назад

      It's not even that, it's just the USA has way too many diecast brands. The market is already oversaturated with cars and any newcomers have to afford to cut the loss and do something innovative to prosper in order to make their cars stand out, like M2 and Greenlight have done. Back in the 80s you had Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Playart, Kidco, Kenner, Summer, Tomica. Today it's even worse because you have Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning, M2, Greenlight, Jada, Racing Champions, Daron/Realtoy, Maisto..and it goes on. Other countries are barely lucky to get Matchbox or Hot Wheels so Majorette prospers there.

      Thank you! I do not have a Tonka collection, not of small scale anyway... I do have one shelf in my garage with a few big old beat up Tonka trucks and tractors, but it's nothing overly special, just my nostalgia kicking in once again. I would love a Tonka collection, but simply don't have the room!

    "Cadillac and Mercedes limousines with four opening doors, opening sunroof..."
    Don't forget the ejector seats for irritating passengers.😁
