      I add coffee powder when adding the flour. So it goes in together with cake flour.

    For any Aussie’s that are in pastry living with Aya and you’ve watched the part where buttermilk is made from vinegar in full fat moo juice it’s readily available in Australia in Woolies, Coles , Aldi , Harris Farms and IGA you will find it in the same place as the milk and it’s in a cardboard container but you can also still follow Aya’s recipe on how to make buttermilk ❤ Aussie gal is back in the kitchen rewatching this chocolate cake G.O.A.T as I’m going to make it for hubby’s birthday next weekend 🎉

    Your recipe is very similar to the one I developed, with a few differences. I use cake flour, 95g more oil (for an extra fudgy texture) and I use hot coffee instead of water to bloom the cocoa then mix it with the wet ingredients.

    • @annchovy6
      @annchovy6 Год назад +9

      I typically use coffee for this type of cake, too. My all-time favorite chocolate cake is one made with unsweetened chocolate, sour cream, and coffee. It’s nice to have options with cocoa powder, too, though.

    I love listening to your voice. It's friendly and very inviting. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge with us. The best part is listing both metric AND English measurements in the ingredients which is a definite plus. Many RUclips recipes don't. America doesn't use metrics, so again, thank you. Happy New Year.

    I made this cake for the first time yesterday with salted caramel filling and vanilla swiss buttercream and it was so good! I'ts not extremely sweet which is my usual problem with baking recipes. This one is just the right amount of sweetness while still moist. Excited to bake this again, maybe I'll try making it into cupcakes next time.
