you are a savior. deleting the cache really helped. premiere was crashing every 2 minutes earlier and now i have worked on it for 4 hours and not once has it crashed .
Your my god!!!! Was looking for hours to solve the problem why its crashing when I import my old project from old Premiere. Now I changed to software only and it works! Thank you so much!

Doing the same trick right now brother, I see it takes longer to render now however😢 Was your Adobe able to render everything by means of software only? Like didn’t it leave some effects unrendered? I know I should delete VR effects in this case probably, but I’m afraid of some other ones, especially with many layers

Thank you for the many options suggested. It did seem like there were a lot of files in my Media Cache and Media Cache Files locations under users/myname/appdata/roamimg/adobe/common even though I regularly clear cache directly from within Premiere. Also the tip to increase the memory available to CC apps is gold. (I have a fast Asus Zenbook Pro laptop, so PC users if you are unable to locate AppData, check and make sure in Windows Explorer that the checkbox “Hidden items” has been activated in the menu field “Show/hide” under “View”.)

Hi. Premiere has started to crash when opening one specific project I am currently working on, out of nowhere. All other projects open normally. I've tried to reset preferences and clear cache before opening that specific project, but no luck. Can you please advise any solution? Thanks!

Solved with the option by Lee Schloss on his channel (Adobe Premiere Pro - one FIX for CRASHING / FREEZING EXPORTS + CRASHING RENDERS) Device manager> display adapters> Disable intel(r) HD graphics NVIDIA (my card) remains as it is. In orde to have a third monitor, I enabled the HDMI option on the Bios. I gained extra monitor BUT lots of troubles show up while rendering in Pr and En.
Omg after changing to “Software” my pc crashed and turn on now( turns on and then turns off) I guess the problem is in memory ( I had only 16gb) memory is probably broken now, I m going to buy 64 now, hopefully it will work and my pc s gonna work

Thanks. My drive C is an 240 GB SSD and after clearing media cache in Premiere Pro CS6 it recovered 60 GB of memory.
this saved me. every time i wanted to slide the timline bar somewhere it crashed but the last tip fixed it. thanks

i cant open anything under edit pref anything in here i click just freezes the program and then crash's
so its the newest Nvidia drivers that are causing the crash
