Preliminary Scan Results Update on my Cancer Journey

- We do not have the full report yet, but there is GOOD NEWS! These are the preliminary scan results for my head and neck cancer status. Unfortunately, they can not repair the hole in my eye for a long time but we are hopeful and grateful for all of the other things the surgeon saw on the images. Please pray with us that the spot lighting up is JUST mucus!!

I'm a 9 year survivor of SCC. Mine was stage 3 in my nasal cavity trying to travel behind the nose to the other nostril. They couldn't do surgery because of where it was. 40 rounds of radiation and 6 rounds of chemo with 2 different chemo drugs and now I'm cancer free. I beat it and You will beat this too! 🙏❤

Still struggeling with skincraft problems…. (a whole beside her eye) but no cancer reappeart. Wishing you, your little girl and your husband blessings and healing on every level (?). “Things are really looking good.” Oh, how those words made my heart happy!
Melanie you have my prayers. When I was diagnosed with cancer I asked God if I could please stay to take care of my ageing mom and my rescued animals, all of whom I promised they would never need to be afraid again. I don't have children so they are my children. So when you said you were able to tell your baby that you can stay with them, that really hit home with me. I think I will be able to stay and you too. 💛

I come before You with a heart full of hope and faith, seeking Your divine intervention. Please grant Melanie peace and strength as she awaits the results of her medical tests and surgery. I pray that the surgery and results are clear of any signs of any serious illness.
Fill her mind with Your comforting presence and ease her anxieties. Guide the doctors and medical professionals who are involved in her care, giving them wisdom and precision in their work.
She trusts in Your plan for her life. Help her to remain strong and steadfast, knowing that You are with her every step of the way.

Praying and pulling for mucus. As gross as the word mucus sounds I think it sounds wonderful as a diagnosis for you. I will take full of snot over cancer ANY day. You are so brave. You are so beautiful. You are a fighter. Your daughter will be so proud of you when she understands the story and journey that allows you to take her to her first day of school, dress shopping, her wedding day, the birth of her child ... your phrase - "we're doing this" has some good news. I also think that your husband and parents are an inspiration for how a family is supposed to rally around you and wrap you in love and care when things do not go the way we thought.
Cancer is such a horrible process unless you have had cancer you can’t really understand. You are so strong 🙏🏻

Hi there! I am praying it is just mucus. For my husband, he continues to have some inflamed lymph nodes that are not suspicious and has had a salivary gland that has been clogged for months. Those scans pick up everything - praying for you and try to enjoy every day you have on this earth!!

How wonderful to hear optimism in your voice. I had a very scary mammogram with an area very brightly lit up, but it was just two normal dense areas, one in front of the other. Please try to take a mental break from all this, YOU DESERVE IT!
