6” CabKing vs. 2+lb AGATE! | Testing my 6” CabKing!!

The day has finally arrived!! This piece took FOREVER to finish! I literally spent almost an entire days time over the span of 3 weeks working on finishing this piece! It was a MISSION!!
I’ve been wanting to really test the capabilities of my 6 inch CabKing, so when I came across this agate geode from Kentucky in the bottom of one of my bins, I knew right away it was the absolute PERFECT specimen to use to go through with the test I have in mind! Now the CabKing is made and sold almost exclusively to make cabochons. Now don’t get me wrong, I love me a good cab… But I wanted to do more.. I get a lot of enjoyment out of starting difficult and almost impossible tasks, pushing my boundaries and those of my machines.
Regardless of the time that went into creating the piece, this video highlights my triumphs and mistakes in this beast of a piece and the multi-week journey it dragged me through..
You’ll have to watch and see the end result and learn whether or not the task at hand was an abstract dream or a brutal time consuming reality!
