At first I expected anticipated rainfall with all the plastic, but it's the CabKing making all the splash. Wouldn't work in my apartment if all this waterproofing is needed. Can a splash guard be added to to hover over the wheel behind the clear guard?
There's really not all that much splashing over, I just have a habit of over protecting. Plus it wasn't my property. Most of the water comes out of the front so have something to cover your front and maybe something on the floor. Thanks for your comment.
the splashing is due to the amount of water flow over the wheels its not necessary to have that much water nor is it necessary to have a stone on the dop stick that early in the cutting..
Definitely like the water delivery system on my Diamond Pacific Genie a lot better, never liked having just a drip system on any of my equipment. Also, the 80 grit wheel should be flush with the end where the nut fits into the spindle. So use the short and long spacers between the 80 and 200 grit wheels.
Hi, can you please tell me of which material are made the wheels of that cabbing machine? The first, the second and the third wheel are made of stone and the other three are covered by sandpapers...am I right??
From left to right, are 2 coarse metal/diamond wheels then a coarse grit sand paper wheel, on the right hand side there are the 3 finishing, finer sandpaper wheels. The flat end on the left has a metal flat wheel for flattening the back and the flat end on the right has a flat polishing disk.
It goes (Resin Wheel, 1" Spacer, 220 Grit Wheel, 3/4" Spacer + 3/4" Spacer, 80 Grit Wheel, Lap Adapter). In my instruction booklet, that is exactly how it's written too, and mine has perfect symmetry. There is never meant to be a spacer on the very end next to the Lap Adapter. The 2 3/4" Spacers are meant to be put together to make a 1-1/2" space. 👍
Yes I know, it just happens to be the configuration that I could get to work. In the future when I get set back up in a few weeks from now, my intention is to use only 2 wheels per side to be able to get the space in between that I am looking for, I'm going to order a few more spacers for that, if I had done more research or had more experience, I would have gotten the 8" machine. Thanks for watching.
You just need to add that other spacer. Once properly installed you'll have equal spacing between your wheels i'd also recomend changing the soft wheels to Nova wheels. Sadly the CK wheels are total junk
By the looks of it, on the left side the first disc that was on the machine you need to flip it to move the built in spacer from left side the inside “right” side. The right side of the machine also shows it spaced that way
Cab King has a video of opening and assembling this exact machine. It's what I watched when I did almost the same thing. You know if nothing else works read the instructions.
Directly from the company, "CabKing" go to CabKing.com or maybe Amazon. I would suggest making the extra investment and getting the 8" machine. I feel it appears to be more versatile. Good Luck.
I’m glad you ran into the same issue I did. The answer to that issue is not easily available. It says go from in to out resin wheel then 1 inch spacer then 220 wheel then 3/4 80 wheel then 3/4 spacer
Thats incorrect, it goes (Resin Wheel, 1" Spacer, 220 Grit Wheel, 3/4" Spacer + 3/4" Spacer, 80 Grit Wheel, Lap Adapter). Bought one on Amazon same size, I've had it for a year. I found that you need to add a filter on the water uptake side of the pump. Otherwise sooner or later a very small piece of material will plug at one of the spray nozzles and it takes some time to clear it. Other than that (which I can't say is the cab machine makers fault.) The only thing I can say, is I wish I had gotten the larger size. That said, three people use mine so it has been worked a lot, enough that I had to replace some of the wheels and that was just as easy and I got them from Cab King through Amazon. $70.00 a piece so be careful. Although I replaced three one was cut when a rock with a very sharp edge slipped in my hand and cut the wheel. I will not do partial (face) polishing on this again. "The little red thing are bushings for different sized arbors so they can be used with other brand of cab machines. Rock On.
On their website they tell you to only use clean water. I haven't bought one yet.. but that's why I'm here, looking at everyone's reviews. It's a lot for me to spend right now so I want to make sure I get a good one. I'll definitely be getting the 8".. I have big rocks I want to polish not just small cabs.. their website also says that it goes thru 2300 liters per hour of water.. and if your not using free we'll water or rain water or recycled water, then I'm gona be paying a house water bill every month.. then again I'm sure city tap water isn't good for any working machine since it's hard water and will calcify and have a ton of build up fast..
I'm pretty sure that I have put the website for this product into the description. please go to they're website and look it up for your self. Thanks for watching
So do you suggest having a waterproof backing around your machine?

I agree that the under wheel water fountains are best. You can see when the wheel isn't getting enough water.
How did you get the wheels to stop spinning
What do you mean? They should stop spinning when you turn off the machine.

@@RErikWeigand Ok and when the sandpapers are consumed, is it possible to change them with new ones?

how much is the cab king cabochon machine? the full set
Please check on their website. Between $6,000.00 & $8,000.00 Thanks for watching.
How do you like your machine now? Is it still running good? How long until you had to resurface wheels?
I'm no longer in possession of this machine but am planning on getting another one in the future. I'll be upgrading to the one with the 8" wheel.
When I do it that way my spacer is out beyond the end of the shaft

Your wheel spacing is still off, I have the same machine and all of mine are equally spaced.
