Can’t wait to get my own truck still debating whether to go with the Peterbilt or Kenworth. Now I have to do is drive a Kenworth and see which I like best. Thanks again for the video and keep them coming.

Great video bro. I love our 579 and was going to buy an auto one for a new driver. So thanks for the heads up. The removable sleeper sure helps the resale down the line. Quit being so lazy and get a 13 speed. Lol. Ps I remember a few scary moments on non Jake trucks.
I would honestly like this one a lot more if it had a manual transmission

I hope you were right about those yokohama tires. Just ran over something that popped three in line tires. Two on tractor and one on trailer. Going with 4 yokos on the passenger side of tractor. There goes this weeks money. Feathers !!!!

My 2015 579 speaks in the steering housing also thought about putting a large rubber band on it. My eaton auto also takes forever to get thru traffic light from dead stop. Other motorist get so annoyed. Whenever I turn on the ac my fan comes on instantly which is annoying when trying to be quiet

Also my truck cannot back up in a slow gentle manner it just rams in reverse when hooking up the fifth wheel.

Well, I went and bought a 2016 last week. I have to agree with you about the transmission. It seems to have a mind of its own when shifting. When shifting up from a start, it's slow shifting and shifts way too early up until about 6th gear. When coming to a stop, it seems to grab a gear too low and sends the RPMs skyrocketing. WTF? Did yours ever get any better?
No i got rid of it. Someone told me in the comment sections about getting it reprogrammed but I didn't know about that
Hello Big Dog! Can you have an eaton rep come out and meet you so he can adjust you shift points and your creep on the truck???? I heard one of the other RUclips truck driver had them do that and he now loves his automatic now? Wishing you the best!

I love Pete’s but everybody now want d13 with ishift the problem is a volvo or cascadia is way more expensive to buy on the same year right ? Do you think 10k more on volvo make sense ?
Tough to say. Those new Volvos are nice. I got a Cascadia now. I'm pretty happy with it.

I just bought one
It has the paccar engine... you don't want to be the one paying those repair bills when it gets up in the higher mileage. Paccar engine does not have a very good track record... I know several that have spun bearings at 500,000.
I've only got this one for 9 more months and it's got a full warranty on it so I'm not too concerned about it as long as it not in the shop a lot but I definitely would not buy it.

GM Big Dog! I went back and found the RUclips video of the guy that was talking about how eaton rep came out and adjusted his transmission to make it work better. I thought the information might help you get better fuel milage and better shift points on your rig.
