How sad that he is gone so early. My condolences to his loved ones may he RIP.
As a footnote, I don't know how he lost control of his vehicle but I have driven along the Pacific Coast Hwy where he died and I remember some turns being a little scarey.
He was a nice guy.
This all is rediculous. I am completely flat chested and this summer went to a plastic surgeon. I wanted big breast and she told me that the max size form is D. She said that if I want bigger she wouldn't do it. All respect for people like her who think about your well being not only about the money. I am sure that plastic surgeons make enough money from people who realy have physical issues so they should say no to people with mental problems.
He did a good job honestly i get where Heidi is coming from.
RIP Dr. Ryan. Unfortunate tragedy. My prayers are with your family.
It isn't fair to blame the Doctor. Plastic surgery is elective. People choose to do it. Heidi is the only person who made this decision. Do I think it was incredibly unwise? Of course. Unnecessary? Yes. But it was her decision.

he was a great guy. He gave so much to the kids in Los Angeles County. He was very generous with his time. RIP

Im not so sure if she blames the doctor or uses him as a scapegoat for her off beat humor. heidi made the choice and paid the price. as another post said, its his job.

I love Bonnie Hunt. I think it's great she causes awareness on this issue, from the stand point that its very SAD. She's not making fun of Heidi, she genuinely feels scared for the millions of little girls who are looking up to her and will question their own God given appearances. So sad!

Part of being a responsible doctor is being responsible for the well being of his/her patient. Elective surgery is elective and is of course the choice of the patient. However, just to say yes to every procedure to satisfy their every whim does not seem like a very responsible decision at all.
The problem is not with the surgeon, it's with the self esteem that this girl has or doesn't have! She has lost her authenticity and natural beauty! These people live in a different world than most, when are we going to learn that beauty means different things to different people, but if someone wants you to change this drastically for a job, or to love you, the problem is with them, not you!!!

Just cause everyone prefers Heidi to how she used to doesn't mean we can judge her. It's her body she's not harming anyone but herself with the risks and I'm sure she doesn't give a fuck what you all think she should have done. As for the Dr, it's his job he does what she pays him to do.
Drinking alcohol, smoking cigs, and eating fast food isn't good for you either but I'm sure you guys still do what you want

@j3zr33Lwiriwiri just becuz his job is a plastic surgeon doesnt mean he can give anyone any surgery they ask for. he is supposed to be aware when a person walks into his office wanting rediculus surgeries for the wrong reasons, he can deny giving a patient the surgery. he doesn't HAVE to perform any surgery he feels is unnecessary.
I"m pretty sure he had some work done on his face as well. His eyebrows got lifted up really high.

give me a break there is always the option of carrot sticks at the end of the lunch line but most people don't choose that and then they wonder why they have three spare tires
@missChocoverest Putting in plastic? Haha, ONE of the procedures Heidi got done was a breast augmentation, the rest was minor procedures (i.e. botox, fat grafting, slight eyebrow lift etc).
I think it’s inappropriate for a doctor to discuss a patient like this on television.

At least he's being honest, he's just saying what everyone knows, "Hollywood is really based off of the body and face". It's not his job to judge, it's his job to perform what he has studied for years. In a less extreme scale, aren't braces cosmetic too? Bonnie, you're trying not to, but you are judging.
Not that I'm saying anything groundbreaking that hasn't already been stated before, but it's far too easy to saddle this all on the surgeon, as if he's some sort of Hollywood bogeyman, who swoops in & robs a girl of her innocence and makes her perceive herself as imperfect, just so he can pocket a big check and get 15 minutes of fame. In reality, not only did Heidi Montag choose to do this, it was likely a pre-meditated career choice. She did this to remain relevant & stay in the spotlight.

@wutdashyt I don't need to research his job. A plastic surgeon, much like a doctor performing abortion procedures, assesses the patient before determining whether or not to proceed. If the patient is mentally competent and says that he/ she is seeking services for no one but him or her self then there is no reason for the doctor not to go ahead with it.
i know its his job and i understand that he wouldnt say no after all he chose that proffesion knowing exactly what people would ask him so of course he isnt going to say no. but i still dont think that gets in the way of human compassion to suggest therapy. and i think plastic surgeons should have some sort of therapy attached with it for before and after the surgery.after all changing your appearance must be very traumatic.so yeh its his job but therapy should in my opinion always be suggested.
The sad truth is that doctors, surgeons and etc. are in a business and they are very motivated by money!! Like big corporate CEO's money talks!! Just because the patient wanted all those procedures it doesnt mean that it was ethical for the doctor to do!!! Shame on our society!!!!

by now means should we be mad at this DR. his job is not to say no i wont do what your asking even if its 20 procedures and fat fetched his job is to do whatever he is asked safely and by the book !!!
@Jessica11X wrong he could have refused to do the surgery and told her "i think u need psychiatric help" plastic surgeons have more of a responsibility than to just give anyone any surgery they ask for. he's an idiot for doing what he did.
@adidasmylife I heard that he actually did do charity work. One of the things he did was remove gang related tatooes for free. So he wasn't a bad person, and didn't deserve to die.
@kenzieluv19 How can you say it is not normal? I am 20 years old, and I have had several procedures done already, I'm also planning on my next ones. Something that is not "normal" to you, can be normal to others. Plastic surgery IS normal!
