When I heard this artist for the first time, his style had riffs and rhythms that caught my ear and I could stop listening. The Hendrix influence: psychedelic blues rock fusion was obvious and had attention but in the back of my I was picking up some very strong Influences from Prince and Parliment / Funkadelic and all the Blues Legends Buddy Guy and BB King and all the great blues Legends that came before and after. A Kravitz rendition from the krazy parallel universe? What the heck was I witnessing?" I immediately began scrubbing the internet for him. This man is his own invention/artist! So thankful he NEVER gave up on his gift. Wish there was a twenty minute rendition of this song! Oh well... repeat, repeat, repeat, then I'll move on to his other songs. I am now a superfine! Most diverse and talented artist alive today. I really do not think another artist can touch him. His vocal range, the diversity in his catalogue of songs and his guitar playing packaged up is hard to beat.
This song touches my heart in a different way. First heard this, maybe 6 months ago. I was living (figuratively not literally) in my work van working 120 hour weeks. Away from my family. I had no life and I was making decisions solely based on trying to keep myself awake. It was an ugly time for me ever though I have everything I could ever want in life. I’d drive around while working and listen to this. Max volume, numerous times a day. My kids know the words. I feel like the sound itself, all of Gary’s songs really, tell a story themselves without the vocals. Add the vocals and it’s just mesmerizing. Here we are 6 months later, I love the song all the same but it now helps me to remember those long days alone. I’ve since found just about every song Gary has put out and have our first concert already booked for November! Peace and love to all out there.

I just discovered this song today from a televised show that I happened to catch, just going through the channels. They closed their show with this song, and I was IMMEDIATELY HOOKED!! Had to look it up, and have been playing it nonstop since!! 💕💕😍👍 SUCH talent. LOVE the falsetto, LOVE the message of the song, LOVE the video. ❤

I really appreciate the original music Gary Clark Jr and his team are putting together. It certainly harkens to some previous Rock Stars, but it is also uniquely his music. Really appreciate the thoughts it evokes for me when I listen to his music.

The young lady and the child are my niece and grand-nephew. Quite frankly, I've never heard of this artist before I learned they were featured in this music video. Amazing.
