Well done Jim !! I was at the Long Beach show in 1986. Same experience for me. I never heard of Metallica until that show. Poor Ozzy had announced publicly that he was sober. The Metallica fans on the floor were throwing beer on him trying to get him off stage for Metallica. Kinda sad because Jake E Lee was killing it!!!!!
I was at that show! I went two nights in a row and it was awesome. I wasn't into Metallica and wasn't familiar with them till those shows, but man were there a lot of Metallica fans there! That was smart of Ozzy (or Sharon) to choose Metallica as an opening act because it helped them sell out a whole tour solid. Ozzy still put on a great show. Jake E. Lee is the best guitarist I've ever heard and I've been playing guitar for forty years.
@@angusorvid8840 Yeah, so many good guitarists that shaped an era and made me want to play too. I wish my 37 years of playing sounded like it!! Thanks for the comment.
I saw you with Metallica in Little Rock Arkansas! I got to tell you “ Now that’s a Fully Man!” And sincerely looked back at me like fuck yeah dude! Absolute great time! Thanks for the memories!
God I fuckin love Jim! Such a LEGEND! Been a huge fan since good ol Half Baked days.... literally got stoned to that movie damn near DAILY w the homies back in the day!
Oh my gawd! I never thought that I’d be the old person at shows, however my daughter pointed out to me that when we go to see the band Propagandhi, that it will be more older people than younger, as hardly anyone her age knows who they are. Needless to say, I was a little butt hurt about it and only because I know she’s right. 🤣🤣🤣
I was one of those in the Duran Duran/Police camp (nothin wrong with that mind you) but it was only _much_ later in life that I discovered REAL rock, and have been trying to catch up ever since! The funniest - or most ironic thing - is that Metallica, Ozzy, et al, are now the elder statesmen, mentoring and helping younger bands get discovered, something they did for Alice in Chains during the 90s, and who then in turn, are themselves mentoring younger artists. Love that about musicians, never afraid to buoy up others, and spread the love. ❤🎤🎸🔥
I was at one of those shows, you were a good choice, you bring a lot of energy with your comedy and they bring a lot of energy with their music, it was a great combo.
If James Hetfield ever needs to rest his vocal cords, Jim Breuer could be his stuntman on stage. Jim Cummings did so for Jeremy Irons’ part on “Be Prepared” in The Lion King
Jim my friend you have lost your mind sir it definitely helps to have no marbles upstairs lmao. The way you imitate singer's, people is definitely to much.lol.you are not only hilarious but very talented young man. God bless you.
I saw them on that tour in 86 too but I knew who they were already! I couldn’t wait to see them and I still love them to this day! Got my kids into them too. When we saw them in 2018 Jim opened for them and it was great!
Like you said, we all have our cockatoos regarding certain things. I'm like, " Breeeaaaaaaa, Metallica rocks, Metallica rocks, Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,Huh!!!!!!"
Saw you on that 2019 tour in Raleigh Jim you f'n ROCK! Also saw the same 86 show, The Ultimate Sin tour with Metallica! August 3rd James birthday and last night of their tour together 💣💥💯👊
I love Jim's comedy because I'm an 80's Metal Head too! Born in 1970 and grew up with THE BEST HEAVY METAL 🤘 I was just getting into Metal in the 8th grade ('83-'84) when "I first heard Kill 'Em All". I had never heard anything like it! And I loved it! My first Metallica show was in 1988 in Denver at Monsters of Rock with Metallica, Dokken, Scorpions and Van Halen. I felt sorry for the other bands. Metallica kicked ass!!!
Funny. U never heard of Tallica until they opened for ozzy? That was when Puppets came out. We in Europe were already listening / seeing them live when Kill came out.
Did this about 15 yrs ago when DISH PISSED me off ($75/mo for the 5 channels I watched? NO THANKS). I can live with intermittent 3 channel broadcast TV quite happily, thanks. 👍
Lol Jim, I love Metallica and I Love when you laugh like James Hetfield...... Yeah! 😀🙂😃🤩 I also seen Metallica back in 2018 at the wells Fargo center in Philadelphia. You were on stage keeping the crowd busy until Metallica came on stage to perform.
That 86 Metallica tour is legendary. But Jim is really doing 1988 version of Hetfield here.

Except that there were a lot of angry metal bands around before Metallica.
Yeeeeahhhh!
what was it like hearing disposable heroes for the first time
“Disposable Heroes” is one of Metallica’s best songs, hands down. Even The Scorched Earth Orchestra’s cover is awesome
I got to see Jim right before the pandemic. He was hilarious. I was crying I was laughing so hard.
I love when Jim does the voices and yes this is what happens when you get old. Yes I laughed because it’s true
