I was born in 76 so right when I got old enough, the 9ers were a dynasty! The 2 losses were pretty painful. Especially the Chiefs game. I thought they had that game. So if your guarantee holds up I will buy you a beer.
They need to score a lot more. 13 is inexcusable with that offense, and against a bad team no less.

Something is wrong with his throwing motion, he doesn't follow through. That is prone to inaccuracy. Maybe the saints secondary is really good in this game, but Jimmy had a hard time reading the defense it seems.

jordan mason is a hidden gem. 49ers needed a big bruising physical runner like this. The way defenses are playing our run game this yr, not a lot of open running lanes, you need to pick a lot of tough yards. Mason is 225 pounds and btw he led the nation with the highest broken tackle % with 44% his last season at Georgia Tech.
You will see more of him as Mitchell will be out.

3:55 I was about tearing my hair out when Jimmy did not even glance to the other side of the field to see a wide open McCaffrey and an easy TD. Thank god for the superb defense. Not a pretty win, but will take it.
From our couch those plays look obvious. But he would have to turn his feet and his whole body around to see him with pressure bearing down on him. My guess is that in such situations the QB picks a side and tries to optimize on that side. Just not realistic to expect such 'obvious' plays in situations like that.
I'm not a Jimmy defender by any stretch, but he had immediate pressure and wouldn't have had time to scan anywhere but his first read that play. Wish the play had called for him to look McCaffrey's way, though.
@@JimmyGSB totally I get that, except that on nearly every other pass play he was checking a wider swath of field. If he was about to be sacked I could understand, but on that play he did seem to have ample time to at least look, especially considering how heavy the coverage was over there.
I dont think he would have had time to turn and throw it to that side. He looked right side first and made the throw immediately. Had he waited he would have been sacked. The only hope of completing it to the left side of the field would have been to look to the left side first.
Checkout 9:05 ! Brandon Aiyuk was gone! Easy TD. Even kittle and Jennings were open. Seems like he was predetermined to get it to Deebo even though he was double teamed.

I liked that they showed the replay of the touchdown catch at the end of the first half. The highlight videos are great for being a fast recap, but a couple of replays for the more awesome plays would be nice.

I know it's been a short week but they have to be careful putting Garoppolo in 3rd and long situations with defences playing the run and putting 6 on the line. He can't keep taking those kind of hits and expect to stay on the field. if they cant run they will have to start rolling outside keeping on the move in some fashion. Purdy needs to be ready. Kyle will have to me more creative with his offence he can't keep running these guys into a 6 man front when they know it's coming.
Niners defense was great. Saints missed several key passes. Will be interesting to see the Miami game with a strong offense.
The coach and team manager seem to be comfortable to push their offense that much!

In a game where penalties and all around point based achievement is what's being pandared through penalties and just how the game is played, this is impressive

I actually feel good about the Saints for the first time after a loss this season. The D was🔥🔥🔥. The offense just made enough mental mistakes to get the egg.

The Saints defense are focused on shutting down the run and taking away checkdowns. That's about 80% of Jimmy G's game.
They were epic, stopped everyone short or on the line for three quarters. Luckily Bosa, Warner, Ufunga et al did the double shutout. Embarrassing for New Orleans offense. That last offside Bosa sack, they were broken men already, didn't see one of them protest.

Jimmy garapolo almost threw like 4 interceptions in this game including the tipped TD. After today they don’t look as scary moving into Miami but last week I would definitely be worried for Miami.

As a 49er fan I loved how our defense played.. they took control of the tire game and wanted.. now even though we won our last three games... The offense needs to step it up and be consistent... We are not going to win against super bowl contenders... Kansas City Chiefs won the super bowl contenders pound us to the ground.. do you have the Dallas cowboys and Philadelphia eagles playing really good football... Now I must admit even though I respect and do like Jimmy G and I think he does belong in the NFL but more as a backup now if he wants to prove everybody that he can be a starting quarterback and help this team win in the postseason if we get there... We have the Miami dolphins coming up who their coach is Mike Daniel who is a former offensive coordinator and they have a badass quarterback Tua.... We have to move the ball more often. I really believe that they're working on their strategy against the Miami and don't get me wrong that I'm very proud of this team

The offense looked gas . I think the trip to Mexico just 6 days ago had them tired. But no excuses when it's time to play its time to play. Offence is lucky defense kept them in it and ultimately shut the saints down and held them to 0. Hope Mitchell is OK we just got him back . Offence must get rolling for next week against Miami. Defense will do they thing no doubt but offense needs step up again

Cardinals are not the saints. Big difference. Cardinals pretty much quit the game and were without their main quarterback. Saints have a truly great defense, but offense is garage. 49ers defense is good against garage trashy teams of course. When they play a contender and great team, they loose.

It's Kyle's play calling especially in the red zone. He can do much better and he doesn't adjust fast enough to other teams defense. We don't have power backs we have speed backs. I think sometimes he thinks they're are power backs. A than they get hurt
