Lifting your foot from the accelerator to slow down in a Polestar 2 employs regenerative braking. It reverses the motor's torque direction and reduces the electric vehicles speed while also charging the EV. In Polestar 2, it's possible to drive like this and never use the brake pedal at all. That's one pedal driving. That's how electric cars should be.
