This is one of the most beautiful national anthems. It so speaks to the Russian people's Heritage and struggles. I always used to look forward to hearing it during the Olympics when I was a kid. Even with the current geopolitical struggles that the world is going through we should _never ever_ doubt the Integrity of the Russian people. Respect from the US!

It was written on 1/1/1944. So compared to most anthems its very new. You also have to consider its a song, not a military march. It is a very good song, but its modern compared to most countries and not exactly traditional in the sense its not a military march.
She is singing through a superb PA system that really does her justice. Either the PA system or the building acoustics add just the right amount of echo to make her voice perfect. She hits every note dead-on: no sharps or flats here. If you notice, in every scene where they show her face, she addresses the crowd. As she moves from note to note she moves her gaze across the crowd. Everyone in front of her gets to see her face straight on. This looks and sounds like a thoroughly professional performance to me.

Her costume is I believe meant to be Lady Midday (a mythical being in Russian folklore, usually depicted as a beautiful woman, who protects important crops, symbolizing the hot midday sun). I’m a New Zealander but, I think the Welsh and French anthems are best. The Welsh one especially at Welsh rugby stadiums before an international rugby test. They are a nation of powerful singers and when all in unison they make the stadium rumble and the spectators hair stand on end. Mighty stuff.

It is a superb anthem, BUT surely it is all a matter of choice? I would put the USA/Nipponese & French on a par. I am English and "God save the Queen/King" is a dirge-and an offence to our Republicans and atheists/agnostics alike.

This is one of the most beautiful national anthems. It so speaks to the Russian people's Heritage and struggles. I always used to look forward to hearing it during the Olympics when I was a kid. It was written on 1/1/1944. So compared to most anthems its very new. You also have to consider its a song, not a military march. It is a very good song, but its modern compared to most countries and not exactly traditional in the sense its not a military march.

She is singing through a superb PA system that really does her justice. Either the PA system or the building acoustics add just the right amount of echo to make her voice perfect. She hits every note dead-on: no sharps or flats here. If you notice, in every scene where they show her face, she addresses the crowd. As she moves from note to note she moves her gaze across the crowd. Everyone in front of her gets to see her face straight on. This looks and sounds like a thoroughly professional performance to me.

She is so beautiful and so is her performance of what i consider the best anthem ever. Her costume is I believe meant to be Lady Midday (a mythical being in Russian folklore, usually depicted as a beautiful woman, who protects important crops, symbolizing the hot midday sun). On a side note, I think I could hear some singing the original Soviet lyrics.

I’m a New Zealander but, I think the Welsh and French anthems are best. The Welsh one especially at Welsh rugby stadiums before an international rugby test. They are a nation of powerful singers and when all in unison they make the stadium rumble and the spectators hair stand on end. Mighty stuff.

Back in 1610-1612 (so called “Time of troubles”) Poland occupied Russia, Moscow in particular, Polish king seized the Kremlin and even the tzar throne itself. Russia as a state was on the verge of extinction. But we successfully fought back in the end. Also back in 1654 we had a war with Poland that lasted 13 years (for the lands of Little Russia, now known as the Ukraine). In the 18th century we divided and consumed Poland together with other European powers and Poland couldn’t exist for 150 years. So we were enemies long before the 20th century.
There is nothing "ancient" in Poland and Russia, just old does.
