Holy cow, this was exactly the video I needed! This turned what was looking like hours of being unproductive into a couple minutes of quick repair, and I was right back to work. Thank you sir!
Perfect. I had the same issue, diagnosed it correctly, but could not get the lock to disengage. When I saw how hard you applied pressure to turn it that gave me the courage to do the same. I was afraid of doing that and breaking something. Thanks.
Thank you so much. You saved me a lot of time, stress, and money. I borrowed the chainsaw from my friend and now I understand that I opned the cover when the break was engaged. I couldn't put it back and was going to buy a new part, but you saved me. Thanks again
Just amazing the amount of force on that spring. Thanks for the video, what a great help. Just always make sure you disengage the break before you pull that chain cover off.
thanks Steve for your real unedited video of how to fix my chainsaw with this exact same problem. Glad you left in the real unexpected glitches that might be encountered as you were trying to move the mechanical wheel that was difficult to turn.
If you've done everything in this video and it's still not sliding back on - the ring has likely been pushed down off the feet. Pry it up so that it can expand fully and is sitting at the proper height on the feet/spacers.
Sir thank you so much for making this video my dad’s chainsaw has been down for two years because same reason that hair brain reason we could not figure out why the cover would not fit 👍🏽👍🏽🙏🏽
I worked on Husqvarna saws for nearly 32 years and I made me a tool from an old brake handle form a junk saw, because what you just done is disturb the smooth surface of that pin that fits into plastic housing when you grabbed it with those pliers
I use to think husqvarna was almost as good as Stihl till the chain brake snapped on try and release this in the bush a real joke I fixed it permantly took high tension spring out and threw it in garbage Stihl you just reset safety guard easy peasy
