    Good afternoon from Godley Texas, I'm always looking for ways to tweak my Capri Cowboy. This video provided some additional ideas. Glad to see you're still enjoying your rig. Live life to the fullest. Stay safe and happy travels 😎

      Hi John! So glad you found the video helpful. I really love this little camper. Which Capri camper do you have?

      @@adventuresofshadowdog I have the 6' 5" Cowboy. My 35" by 78" bed is east to west under the three overhead cabinets. If I'm not level I can just move the pillow to the high side. Driver's side is the Wave 3 heater and hand pump sink. Passenger side is where the cooler, two drawer filing cabinet (storage),and five gal water container goes. Thinking about removing the sink and faucet and Velcro a dummy countertop over the hole. I've never used the sink other than to be a catchall.

      There are a lot of different ways to arrange things in these little Cowboys. Kinda makes it fun!

      Thanks Curt! I agree. I do have to say that the Van has the most beautiful woodwork I’ve ever seen in a camper.

    Hi, when were living in the Netherlands we use to have a camper to. First one a small van, after that a big one. If you have a camper big or small, you're never ready doing things to it, there is always something new you want or something to fix. Now living in Spain we don't have a camper. Things change in live, but I mis having a camper.... but who know's, maybe we win the lottery once ;)

      Hey Rob! Thanks for commenting. When I was younger I lived in England for a year and I remember the many small camper trailers people had. They were super compact and light weight and could be pulled by a car. In recent years, we've seen a camper/rv revolution of sorts in the USA where people are interested in and buying small campers, pop-up tents that ride on the top of the vehicle, and other small, light weight camping solutions. It's a very interesting time in that regards. Hope you can get a camper again sometime soon!

    Just beautiful van, the woodwork makes it so warm… Classy! I think your Capri Camper is the ideal set up. Different things are important to different people, I want a permanent bed. Enjoyed the video very much.

    How lucky you are Sir. You have no idea how many of us Endgame fans out here who would love to pick Dave's brain, FOR HOURS, on any and everything. DAVE THE LEGEND !!!
    Love your Capri camper. Are the framing members of your camper wood? Do they offer a aluminum framed option on their campers? Safe and happy travels for you and Shadow. Thanks for sharing.

      Thank you so very much for watching and commenting. I agree with you 100% about Dave! What an amazing man and friend he is. I love to just sit back and listen as he has a vast wealth of knowledge on many topics. As for the Capri camper. They are framed with wood. However, they are built like tanks and are extremely strong. I bounce mine over the roughest dirt and rocky roads imaginable. They are extremely well insulated. And water tight. I’ve owned several campers over the years and I’m inclined at this point to focus more on the quality of the build than materials, as opinions range all over the board on the materials (wood vs aluminum, fiberglass siding vs aluminum, types of insulation, etc, etc.). Capri isn’t the only manufacturer of campers, but I can attest to my satisfaction with the quality of their campers. And I honestly love mine. You can call them and ask them questions. Ask for Pete. He’ll talk with you and answer as many questions you may have. I think your question is a good one: why wood over aluminum? Although very pleased with my camper, that is a question I would be interested in knowing the answer to. Good luck!

    Dogs are the best people..a wife or kids will get sick of trailer life aftercare week, but dog could live like that forever, and feel like he's in a mansion!!😅

      I couldn’t agree more about the dogs! Best camping companions for sure. I ended up finding a perfect little desk like you described. Folds up and down and fits just right. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!

    Did you order a custom layout? Reason I ask I love the layout you have. Mainly where the bed is. I’m 5’4 with a pit bull. Then a side bed would be perfect over the bed at the front of the camper!

    • @adventuresofshadowdog
      @adventuresofshadowdog  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes I did and they will make it to your liking. I LOVE this layout. I suggest you call them and ask for Pete. He remembers me as I just called him yesterday with a question. My name is Lance. He is super helpful and will answer all your questions and give you the time you need. Please know I have no affiliation with them. Nothing in it for me. I just genuinely love their campers.

    Great video! What wood trim color did you go with? Is that the pine? Thanks

    • @adventuresofshadowdog
      @adventuresofshadowdog  9 месяцев назад

      Yes that is the Ridge Pine. I like it because it’s not too dark. I’ve been very happy with it. I went with the Cowboy because I really wanted to keep the weight down. It was a good choice for what I use it for. Having said that, a little more room is always nice in a camper. You might want to consider the Retreat model for more room. I hope this helps!

    Is that a remote controlled dog?!

    • @adventuresofshadowdog
      @adventuresofshadowdog  11 месяцев назад

      I assume you noticed his antenna? That is how he communicates with his mother ship! Lol
      So when I take Shadow out on this adventures, we often find ourselves in remote places. I put a Garmin Tracker on him that allows me to look at the handheld unit and see how many feet/yards away he is and in what direction. I can also send signals to the module on his collar that beeps or vibrates or a mild shock. He knows when he hears the beep to return. I rarely have to go above the beep. But the other day he went after a fox and I had to shock him to get him off the foxes tail! So that’s what’s behind his antenna and collar. Thanks for watching and commenting!
