I really appreciate your comment and comments like yours because viewers and Chris and I learn something new with each comment. We love hearing the perspective of Peruvians and locals. There´s 200 countries I could visit, but I am dying to return to Lima! We loved the people too.

Well it is known that the entry of Lima after arrived … and go to the AIRB&B in Miraflores it is ugly. And that is a big problem. Lima had several additional cities on the beach, driving 30 minutes away from Lima you can go to the Sierra of Lima to other small cities with opposite weather than the centre of Lima. In the Sierra you can go hiking on the mountains and valleys. You have to plan a little bet in advance in order to take advantage of your trip. Lima is the third city in LatinAmerica in population and is big like São Paulo in Brasil and some analices said that Lima is probably more bigger than Sao Paolo in Brasil. Anyways good luck and have a nice trip.

Thank you for the suggestion about going to the Sierra of Lima!

Lima's coast is the southern Cali of South America

Oh my gosh yes! I have never heard that comparison, but it did remind me of California's cliffs that drop straight into the ocean. And I don't remember it being humid either. We went in Peru's winter though.

Haha don’t know what happened there but I hope you realized that they pronounce Soles as “Soh-less”…not “Soh-Lah-res”….but great informative video! I love Lima 😃

Did you see that was corrected in the video? In the white box that pops up when I say it wrong

@@theSSHITT i saw that you put it in Sol…didn’t see the corrected pronunciation. I just perceived it that way, maybe it’s just me. Great video nonetheless! 👍🏼😊

@@LightningClaireFarron390 Oh I definitely pronounced it incorrectly, I just can't fix it so I just wrote the singular (sol) and I thought the plural (soles) to let viewers know. I´ve seen other youtubers do that to correct themselves. I wrote it wrong from the beginning and then memorized it incorrectly and then kept hearing people pronouncing it soles, so I eventually figured out that I was saying it incorrectly, but I filmed on the first morning (12 hours after arriving late at night, after I awoke), so, I hadn´t realized I had it wrong yet. That´s the footage I had and I thought dubbing over it would sound weird.

It is a pity that you have not gone to Caral, the oldest city in America, 5,000 years before Christ, is just as important as the Pyramids of Egypt and the Culture of Mesopatania. Peru is the cradle of one of the five civilizations that gave life to the Later Cultures of the humanity

Wow! I did not know that! Thank you for sharing. We were so focused on Machu Picchu and Cusco (like so many other tourists) that we didn´t take the chance to learn about other places in Peru besides Huacachina and Arequipa. We didn´t have time to even visit Arequipa, but we are so grateful that we got the chance to see Machu Picchu. We will have to go back! Plus, I want to hang out in Lima again!

Machupichu is a source of pride for all Peruvians, however its construction is recent, perhaps it was built by Pachacutec Inca and his successor Tupac Yupanqui around 1432 to 1495, the Peruvian Culture has 10,000 years of history, there are many cultures prior to the Incas, after Caral it was Chavin de Huantar Paracas Mochicas Chimu Nasca Tiahuanaco in Lima there are Huacas prior to the Incas, the Temple of Pachacamac is near Lima to the South, they also have the National Museum of Anthropology and History nearby.
