That Glasgow accent is virtually unchanged. Good on you, Kenny...
Class. Loved that. Jinky Johnstone 1 of the greatest footballers of all time.
I've got all the time in the world for Kenny. Absolute legend.
Denis Law scored the same amount of goals in HALF the number of games for Scotland. Law is a true Scottish Legend!!!
Denis Law is one of the games greats but 1. He was an out and out centre forward 2. 9 of his thirty came in three hat tricks against the titans of Northern Ireland and Norway.
It's just a shame the two of them didn't play together cos that would have been phenomenal.
@@jamesvickers5998 I was too young to see King Denis play but from what I'm told by people 60+ in Scotland is that he is the greatest ever Scottish goalscorer. As for Dalglish he didn't always make the transition from club form to International. Apparently almost a quarter of his goals came in Friendlies!!
There would have been no Denis Law if it weren't for Bill Shankly. Bill Shankly gave Law his first ever start as a 16 year old for Huddersfield in 1957. So Man United can take absolutely no credit for Law, he played for Man City and Torino before Man United.
@@alslevie1986 Sir Matt was Shanks's mentor so by your logic Liverpool can take no credit for anything Liverpool went to achieve with Shanks and as we all know , Shanks laid the foundations for everything any Liverpool team have gone onto win so absolutely no credit can be taken by LFC.
@@jamesvickers5998 15th June 1974, Scotland beat Zaire in the World Cup match in Dortmund. Kenny and Dennis were both in the starting eleven.
Remember watching kenny at Celtic regularly he is a Celtic legend 🇮🇪🏴🇺🇸
What a player - I remember seeing him play for Celtic and they beat my team 8-1 - and we had a good side! They were unplayable at that time. I remember the Athletico Madrid game as well - kicked Jimmy Johnson in particular off the park....
Celtic legend..but a bear at heart ..no hard feelings..goid guy !
A bear at heart, don’t think so..
Lad never a Bun never lad
kennys not a bigot lol
Quite simply the best player i ever seen in the Celtic hoops, broke my footballing heart when he left for Liverpool. I had a bitterness n love for Kenny that's lasted a lifetime. And im going to go a step farther by saying in my opinion the Greatest player the United Kingdom s ever produced, there has been none better than King Kenny.
news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/celtic/2245965.stm It's all subjective but personally I think that there have been a few better than Dalglish @ Celtic. Jimmy McGrory, Jinky and Larsson for me, all better players for Celtic. Some also voted Lennox and McNeil ahead of him. Like I say, it's all opinions.
@@KryptonitetoallBS The legendary Bobby Murdoch was pure quality also!
Good blue nose our Kenny, so was Stein & Mcgrain. As you know it never leaves you.
@@jamesmorton4443 Quality and Class never go out of fashion. All three fit that description, I share the same religious denomination as all three, But as 10 year old, King Kenny was my footballing hero, what a player.
legend on lockdown.
I bet Kenny never thought he would see his old team fail to win 10 in a row TWICE in his lifetime.
The title will be going to Ibrox this time round
Imagine only seeing Glasgow Celtic winning 9 titles in a row X 2...puir Kenny😂😂😂
@@tribecaa7725 And still behind Rangers fc in domestic honours won, as confirmed by ASA, SFA, SPFL, UEFA, FIFA
@@tribecaa7725 only won 9 in a row 1time then 8 and a half the season got stopped with covid
Ha! Ha! Celtic! You’ve only won 9in a row twice without financial doping!
Why did you have to ruin this bringing up stupid comments like that stupid stupid wee boy , I'm not a Celtic fan btw and it seems nor are you just a loser who throws in the odd daft comment
brilliant
Talking about dirty games and so on, Kenny was a tough tough guy, well able to take a tackle. A great.
King Kenny forever!!
King Kenny scored a couple of humdingers for Scotland away in Belgium one night! A must see on You Tube!
I saw the Lisbon Lions play many times and I saw Kenny play for Celtic many times over many years . For me , Dalglish remains the finest Celtic player I have seen . Jimmy Johnstone was a great entertainer and Henrik Larsson and Bobby Lennox were goal machines , but Kenny Dalglish was my favourite of them all . Btw , Kenny did play in THAT match ( 5-0 v Clyde ) where all the players wore number 8 on their shorts.
Wow thats some compliment to say kenny is better than all those players mentioned, Must of been fantastic to see him in his early days, im sure celtic will be back stronger next season (LFC fan) HH 👍
@@kebabremover6024 Thanks , it was a privilege to watch him week in , week out - home and away .
Greatest of all time!
Kenny took 7m from celtic when his shambles of a time as a director of football at celtic ended.
Makes up for being underpaid as a player.
@@Henry-vu5sg dont think hes ever been short of a few quid. Mabye you no different.
Spot on mate. He is a mercenary and does everything for a quick buck.
Telling like It was at the time as Atletico did have basically an away team to defend and normally an attacking team at home that's kinda how the Spanish & Italians and others played It in the old European cup. and It worked back in the day .
The quality street gang. Could have been another great team pity we couldn't keep them together. Money got involved
Bhoys 🇮🇪👍
All the bitter Sevconians . Still OBSESSED with the Celtic and King Kenny who went to us 🤣. GIRUY
Most Rangers fans like him
Your best player was a prod
@@robertskillen1887nd? Many Celtic legends are Protestant and are widely welcomed as a club open to all regardless of religion. Rangers on the other hand... Narrow-minded and second best. 🥂🏆
Still a Ranger & as you know it never leaves you.
Was really Lookin forward to this and Then seen Triggs and had to turn it off
For once he hardly opens his mouth thankfully
The one that got away would have been nice at his boyhood team WATP 🇬🇧👍🏼
Aye unlike your rancid club people of all faiths were accepted at our club, think of the amount of protestant men you missed out on during that time....all your own fault.
He doesn't join second best teams mate, jog on. 🥂🏆❤️💚
I was at them 3 games at ibrox in 71 when celts smashed them 3 times in just over a month 0 2 0 3 2 3 Kenny scored in the 3 off them aha aha
Kd great player for us not the guy I thought he was head in the the clouds
King Kenny the best British player of all time nobody comes close nobody
🤣🤣🤣
We’re Glasgow Celtic
But he is one of ours.
Kenny Dalglish...Scotlands Robert De Niro..
Dalglish is a Scottish hero.
Losing 9.75
3:02 so your saying big Jock knew, Kenny? Separate Entity
Why are you the way you are, David? What drives you? Really though, what is it that causes your brain to work the way it does? What explains what it is you are, David? Cheers
@@jamescarr4662 because i want to see justice
Would you like to see justice at other clubs as well or are you just obsessed with Celtic? 🥂🏆
The English boys feigning understanding what he's saying lol. ...
May we have subtitles for when the delightful chaps far left and centre contribute? I’m sure they have something of importance to say. Thanks awfully.
No. Just get yourself a brain. Everyone can manage fine. Only you seem to have learning difficulties.
Naw bend.
And they talk of men like Pele and the great Eusibio and even Stanley Matthews who played so long ago he even beat the Belfast boy we George was second best or Johan Cruyoff not on your life wee kinky was the best !!!!!!!! FTQ
Great player, but not a warm or friendly man. Always uncomfortable @ public events which was sad really for those kids who worshipped him and who just wanted a picture or autograph. Please note, I know things took a toll on him while @ Liverpool but I'm talking way before that time while @ Celtic. I met him on numerous occasions @ charity events.
His personality reminds me very much of Gordon Strachan. Aggy, ultra sensitive, sarcastic and moody. None of the Leeds players enjoyed Strachan's company while he was there. They avoided him as much as possible. I was told this by Chapman, Jones, Sterland, and Kamara.
Bobby Charlton is similar to Dalglish. Not a natural people's person, but he did at least sign an autograph for a 7 yr old kid, albeit grudgingly!!!
Bet he charged him for it
@@harrymiller3445 That 7 yr old kid was me. And he wasn't happy about signing it although tbf he wasn't representing the club at the time. He was out walking his dog by Lymm dam!
I suppose that's true but what a player.
Yeh I agree. Kenny what an incredible talent but probably not the nicest fella in the world.
When I, aged 13, was playing for a youth team in Cumbernauld, Johannes Edvaldsson and Paul Wilson were supposedly coming to present us with medals for winning a prestigious local trophy. They let us down at very short notice. We then turned to Kenny, who turned up exactly as he said he would, presented the medals and was great with all the kids, coaching staff and parents. He is/was not (as he admits in his book) a naturally confident person, and probably uses/used some of the standard coping techniques. Neither is uncommon nor a crime, especially in people of his background thrown into the limelight.
It’s time to return home to your boyhood club kenny 🔴⚪️🔵🇬🇧
😂😂

Suppose not..
Even if you were a bluenose,
would have been hard to turn down..
Both Kenny and Jim Baxter the greatest players Scotland ever produced broke my heart a few times playing with Celtic knowing he was brought up supporting the gers we missed out badly then legend.
Rangers are long gone on this stage. KK is now Liverpool through and through, with a wee soft spot for the Celtic!
But he wanted to win things...
An irishman who doesn't support celtic is a disgrace to the country
