A great presentation. Many thanks !
The vintage images are my favorites.
Same. I love all photos, but if I had to pick...vintage over contemporary any day. :-)
Another handsome gentleman at 6:33 ❤. Enjoyed the compilation.
Good choice! Thanks for watching, John.
Amazing photos! They catch the essence of these men.
Thank you for the kind words and for watching!
Loved the photos!
So glad you did. Thanks for watching...feel free to watch even more! :-)
Wonderful photos and nice music. Thanks for sharing.
Much appreciated, RJ...glad you enjoyed!
Your selections are great and the photos are crystal clear. You must have access to multiple archives, possibly private collections, in order to have this much variation of subject material, especially the more provocative ones. Beautiful subjects make it easier to select them, of course.
Thank you! Almost all of the photos are sourced from the internet. I've been lucky to find relatively high-resolution scans lately. Hurray! I do have a personal collection, but only sneak in an image here and there. Tumblr, blogs, and forums for the win!
@@CollidePress I’m sure everyone has collected a few personal favorites.
Fantastic photos! Delighted to see Anton Walbrook among them, a very great actor (and gay). Thanks for these xx
Thank you! Glad you're familiar with Mr. Walbrook too. Cheers.
Another beautiful collection, Clint Collide (and I've loved them all) but you might want to reconsider including Grand Mufti Amin Al-Husseini of Jerusalem in this one. Yes, an example of a handsome man but he was also strongly allied with Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany during WWll and spoke approvingly of Adolph Hitler's 'Final Solution'...
Thanks. I can’t/won’t dive into politics I don’t already know. Sorry, but that’s a slippery I’m not skiing on. He got on my radar because he and Ryan Gosling are nearly doppelgängers. Definitely not into fascism, but trying to makes these videos relatively apolitical. Hope that makes sense. He likely wouldn’t want to be featured so I feel okay. 😎🌈❤️
@@CollidePressI do see your point and respect your efforts to be apolitical but I imagine you would think twice about featuring someone like von Ribbentrop, though he was an objectively handsome man...(just got a sick feeling when I saw Al-Husseini face because I know his history...kind of ruined the whole buzz of the slideshow, especially because there are so many holocaust deniers out there now)
Sorry it ruined it for you. I'll be the first to admit my knowledge of history has many blindspots. So I don't know who Ribbentrop is. But I do skip folks I don't personally like. That said, I'm not going to vet every photo and subject. Because the slope is too slippery and no one's ever going to agree 100%. That said, holocaust deniers are asshats...and need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.
@@CollidePress Thanks Clint :-)… just wanted to politely point it out to you.… If I was a Jewish guy I’d be particularly upset seeing a photo of Al-Husseini… otherwise, your collections are beautiful :-)
i like that you included a number of shots of guys with their photographic equipment. we often forget that for every portrait of how many men, there's always one (or more) that we don't see behind the camera. the man at 6.30 (and also the thumbnail) is incredibly beautiful! guys in the late 1800's early 1900's sure knew how to wear a beard/moustache. love the big group shot on the beach too...all shapes all ages, with the cheeky guy at the centre showing a bit more than everyone else!
Thanks, Jack! Glad you enjoyed. I have a soft spot for photographers so always love showing them and their gear off whenever possible. They're heroes in my book. Cheers
@@CollidePress Absolutely Heroes! in so many ways they also put their lives on the line.
Love the photos and music 🎶 thanks, as always for sharing 🏳️🌈 looking forward to some October pride pics 😊
Thank YOU! Glad you enjoyed. Just curious: What makes October Pride pics different from June (or any other month)? If there's a difference, I'd love to know. Cheers!
@@CollidePress Hey, no difference.... Just looking forward to seeing additional pics in October Pride, that's all 🤗
@@harolddavis2580 Cool! Might I ask what country you live? Germany I think has adopted October as Pride month more than the US. Love that almost anytime of the year there’s now likely a pride celebration going on somewhere.

I took photos of my uncle when he was in his late 60s for a photo class I was taking. I wish I had taken a lot more.
He was age 82 when he died and the mortician who prepared his body said he still looked attractive naked.
Wonderful
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed. Cheers.
Thanks Clint for the Furys Furies? and the rest!
LOL. Rawr said Leo The Liion!
Shame there wasn't more names underneath those fabulous people. Love the mood of the music. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I do my best to capture IDs when they're available, but alas...the internet is a strange land of amazing photos with little to no context or information. Glad to have at least some ID'd. :-)
Thanks Clint, a corker of an archive from the first image of Lawrence Woodford to the 4 surfer guys @ 0:59 which are at last named! You've posted them several times...but always unnamed, lots of Ed Fury in his b/day suit too. Im intrigued at 8:42 the wrestler(?) in his Chuckies Converse All Star pumps, unless All Stars were being manufactured so far back. Now im away to see the Substack unfilered version 😮 Cheers DougT 🇫🇴
Glad you noticed the captions for the surfers. I only recently found them ID'd. As for the wrestler, I'm not sure about his story or his shoes. :-p
Is John B Kelly Jnr , Grace Kelly's brother? - she who married Prince Rainier of Monaco.
He is indeed. Beauty ran in the family!
Not sure if had flings but found this little write-up fascinating: www.elisarolle.com/queerplaces/fghij/Jack%20Kelly,%20Jr.html
A very interesting mix. I'm curious about David Hobby at 9:00. Not only did he have unusually long hair, but I wonder if he used a curling iron to give himself what looks much like a woman's hairdo. Maybe cross-dressed or was trans but didn't understand what he felt? Some pictures raise questions whose answers are probably lost in history.
It's not here, but I'm reminded of a photo I saw taken out on the open deck of an ocean liner, probably 1920's. I wish I could remember it better, but it was two men standing side by side and holding hands but in unusual positions. One man had his arm behind his back and maybe the second man was using his left hand to hold the first man's right hand. Maybe some kind of secret "grip" used in a fraternity or lodge?
Like you, I'm fascinated by David Hobby. Here's a link to the story I found the photo on...not much more info, but you might enjoy: www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/gallery/2018/feb/16/gold-stars-portraits-of-california-gold-rush-in-pictures
There were lots of outside-the-liners in that era, but history doesn't always have the best memory. Folks who moved West were usually ready for new adventures. Including adventures in gender expression and sexuality...long before we had words for either.
I think it might be as simple as that the man admired long curls and wanted them for himself. We ought to watch out trying to box up a person based solely on their appearance.
