there's an easy way to tell if you can trust your source of news: whether they employ lawyers or not, because lawyers will stop them from publishing falsehoods. Other than that, it's up to YOU to understand the difference between editorial opinions and news facts. Clearly, many of you don't

But unfortunately journalism at the “professional” level is nothing more than giving your opinion on a topic and twisting facts to fit the narrative of the 3rd party that signs off on your check. It’s sad to know that amateur journalists do a better job than mainstream journalism. Good on them though and I hope they can stay true to the field. Glad they helped in this situation.

Hopefully they take some public speaking classes and stop using “like” as a place holder to fill every pause. This is instructive criticism, speaking habits are difficult to break. “Like” is an extremely common problem, followed closely by an upward lilt at the ends of a sentence which makes every sentence sound like a question to the audience. Vocal fry is a newer problem especially for females trying to drop their vocal tone.

I VERY clearly said in my first comment, "weird stories like this," referencing the nature of this crime. For crimes of this nature, it's actually albinos who are over-represented. Furthermore, most violent crime committed by the group you reference is gang-related. This is well-documented and well-known, except by you apparently. It's mostly crime between rival gangs, with an occasional bystander getting caught up in it.
