Hello, when i participated in 2014 at norseman i took a Casco Speedairo helmet with mirrored lens and this was a big mistake because 50 kms from the end of the cycling segment the weather changed and it got very dark so i had to lift the lens, But then it started to rain heavily and on the last descent I couldn't stab because the raindrops felt like needles sticking in my face, so I had to slow down and lost some time. When I returned to Norseman in 2016, I took the same helmet but with orange lens, which helped me a lot. Not all events are the same, but my suggestion is that you should go for the orange lens, because in Norseman the weather is very unstable and you can catch all 4 seasons in one day. You to choose. Wishes a good test will be an unforgettable experience

The issue here is not the finish time, it's whether he will be allowed to make it to the end ! I think it is like the first 100 or 150 athletes (not 100% sure about this number) who are allowed to continue the run to the top of the mountain, and get this famous black shirt. The others are stopped at the bottom, and of race

Good luck. I was in eidfjord last week. Due to the unusually warm weather the water is very warm relative to previous years. No more snow on the plateau anymore as well. I guess temp will be 16 to 17
Good luck Mark, can you say how many miles you have on the On Cloudstratus and if there is any wearing in the heal cup. I had the On Cloud swift and they and holes wearing in the heal cup.

Good luck Mark! Did you do anything to try and acclimatise to cold conditions in preparation for the race? I also struggle with the cold (especially my hands) so would be good to know if there's anything you can do to train your body to cope better with cold events.
I would choose an easier gear, with at least a 30 on the back. Unless u have watts like a pro, which may be the case. First climb is quite steep and a little deceiving. The average gradient is 8 percent, but if you look at the profile you see that the first half of the long climb is over 10 percent. Also, it will be too hot tomorrow for a wind jacket, even over the plateau. But that high viss vest looks like it will really slow you down. Can't you organise a high vis aero jersey instead? Anyway, just some thoughts. Good luck again

koen miseur it’s got some big plateaus and descents. I’ll be small ring for the climbs. A number of the top guys do the same

Carl Baravelli I have a 30. Rules have changed on the hi vis. You actually need to wear one like I have. Although I now have a better fitting one
