DubSkin, a Fort Collins reggae band, opened this sold-out show at Denver's Ogden Theatre. Matisyahu was backed by the Dub Trio, a Brooklyn based, metal-dub-punk-rock band comprised of members DP Holmes - guitar, keys, dubs; Joe Tomino - drums, keys, dubs; and the one and only Stu Brooks - bass, keys, dubs.

WTF is happening to the bass player?
seriously the it's what makes a song complete
he is doing one hell of a job there but looks so distant to the entire scene. the key to a good bass player lies in knowing intuitively when not to play and therefore add real character to the song. he does an excellent job of highlighting certain parts by using less notes. the song prolly wouldnt have the right dynamic if he'd just follow the drummer all along the song and then pulled off some crazy bass line in the chorus.
he keeps it laid back and effective, for this is really a pop tune that can't be too overloaded.
