@@DBT1007 Unlike Miko, her mother is an excellent driver. Miko said she lives in a cold area where people prefer to drive rather than stay outside for a long period of time. Also her old car didn't have car navigation so it was dangerous to drive in the snow. Having a car in Japan is expensive but it's safe. Especially for people who live in rural areas where there's barely any transportation.
Seeing Miko giving back to her super supportive mother is making me feel teary-eyed on how she has accomplished things while I haven't even given back anything to my mother except disappoinments and setbacks. I am really happy for Miko.
Her family deserves whatever she is giving now. Everyone is supportive of her and giving her a place of comfort. Glad yagoo never allowed her to leave and believes in her even on the toughest of times.

I heard building a house in japan really cost a lot because most house are very old or from old era and needed to change the whole thing like pillars and all.
New houses need to follow new code standards for earthquakes etc. So they cost a lot more to build, vs old ones that need a bit of renovation inside. (many are nicer inside than outside)

Especially people whose age are around or the same as Miko's. Quite miserable isn't it? In today world, it's really hard to buy a house for young people, even people who has already lived pass half of their lives, they still couldn't buy a house for themselves. Buying a house in japan is probably even harder, when most of the young had to rent a place to live nowadays. As for myself, having a stable minimum income every month to live or thought of even buying a house is too luxurious for me. The only thing i want for now is peace, to work on my future plans without being disturbed by who or whatever it is.
Sure some people will be. But it's as pointless as being jealous of some famous singer or sports star - they make big money but grinded to get where they are. And many try, and most fail. Of course Miko/holomems aren't earning that sort of money, but she grinded to get to where she is now, she had nothing handed to her on a plate. I hope she can continue to make good money, so she can be set for life, and so she can continue doing what makes us happy, and we don't lose a treasure like her.
