Yesss 😭 she gone be happy
Aweee so cute
Love it!! 🇭🇹
My Haitian neighbour invited my boyfriend and me to a party, and these plantains were on the menu. I couldn't stop eating them. He had his wife whip me up a batch to take home, but I neglected to ask for the recipe. No one is home right now, and I have some plantains to cook. This is what I needed. Thank you.
I’m so happy I could help. Did you try to make them? How did it turn out?
My husband is Hatian and he love this, I'm here to learn so I can make for him.
It's after midnight and I am here making this.
Let me know how it turns out
@@cookingwithfreddie my husband loves it!
I didn't wash with lemons I was too lazy and tired.lol
The plantains I had was yellow on the outside so it had a lil sweetness to it. Not the same as what I had from Hatian restaurants which I love. My husband loves it, he didn't complain. Since my husband enjoy it than I'm happy.😊
THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!! 😊
I'm half haitian from my dad side but he passed away when I was a kid so these recipes bring me good memories❤
Awww I’m sorry to hear that….. but it makes me happy to know this brings back good memories for you 😊 thank you so much for watching.
Hey cuz @juliecastin 😊. Found her chanel today...she got some great recipes. I tried her pikliz recipe today and it was on point!
Hay fam, my kids are half Haitian from my side. I just started to teach them about our food. Better late them never.
Ha bold headed self told me to do this🤣🤣🤣 you are funny.

My Jamaican self keeps going 😬 every time I hear plaintain cuz we say it like "plon'in" 😆
I'm tryin to learn all the Haitian recipes so hubby can leave the stove 😆

Us Jamaicans African and Haitians are the best black youth period
Thanks for a quick yet detailed description. I clicked through several other videos and stopped them because they were talking too much or not giving enough info. Your video was perfect.
Hey lady🤗 I made these tonight hubby is Haitian, so I did them with grilled fish, pickleys & avocado I put the lime on the side. It was smack ya momma good. Finger lickin. Thank you so much. You were a big help in my dinner making this evening. 🤗❤️🔥
You’re welcome, this just made my day thank you for sharing you have no idea how much it means to me.
My mother in-law taught me to dip it in the salty water before pressing it...just gives it a beautiful glaze but honestly not much of a difference😊
Girl!! I stay going to the Haitian place for these and picklez and pork griot!! Now I can make these myself cause I always want more platians
Plantains are my favorite so I understand lol
Thank you, my boyfriend is haitian and i love surprising him by making him things I haven’t. You’d think id of learned this first but I wasn’t interested until now. I have some amazing pikliz in my fridge too.
Did you ever try any of the recipes? How did it come out? Did your boyfriend like them?
@@cookingwithfreddie yes, i love when he opens the door and says why does it smell like haitian food in here lol. I told him as soon as i learned a good recipe and did it for myself i would be done going to our local spots in tampa and buying them. But yes it was delicious. I make the fried banann as a snack onbthe regular now and i always keep pikliz. I’m trying to start making griot and tasso kabrit if you ever want to make a video and show me.
This is so lovely for beginners like myself! Thank you for making this!! I just made some and a couple of em didn’t SQUISH fully, but I think I made those slices too small as well as slightly underdone.
The more you make them the better u will get at. You got this
I love your recipes, I have my Haitian boyfriend, I would like to learn to cook Haitian food more

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, those plantains look so delicious! Freddie has inspired me to buy some plantains right away to fry them up myself. :)
Hope you enjoy
That's the way I learned as a child.
I’m going to cook this I never made Haitian food before and I’m going to look for more recipes to cook for my special friend. He only eats Haitian foods so this will be my 1st time I hope he will like them crossing my fingers.
You are so funny! Thank you for this video!!!!
You’re welcome ☺️
Maybe pat the plantain with paper Towel to remove some of the liquid before adding to the oil also 🤔
Us Haitians don’t do it like that hon it only pops for like 2 seconds it’s not that serious to us, but if you decide to make plantains one day and you can always make yours like that. I’m sure they will turn out great 😊
Thank you for the video! I have never made plantains before but want to try it this weekend. I will definitely use this recipe. Love your voiceover!
Elanor Nadorff how did it turn out?
My. Family. Is. Haitian. I. Trying. Haitian. Food. So. Delicious. 🇭🇹

I was possessed to use frozen plantains🤦🏾♀️ my friend first time eating one and I didn’t know… I told him fresh taste wayyyy better😭
I haven’t made plantains in a minute so I needed this video to remind me😭😭
Friend you already know fresh is always better hopefully he gives you another chance to make him some fresh ones. I just know you gone kill it.

This looks really delicious, well done! 😊
Thank you so much 😊
Awesome video, thank youuu!!! Mesi!
No boo thank you for watching 😊
Thanks, very informative!
😊
I got the bunun squeezer, and that was the fastest I seen someone pese' some bunun.
🤣🤣
Thank you for this!
I have been cooking this since I was 7years old
Washing the plantain then dipping it in water only makes for a dangerous situation. There is no need to do those two steps that involve water. Otherwise, your technique is good.
Well honey us Haitians been doing it like this for years and we are fine. If you feel uncomfortable and you don’t wanna make it that way you can always put a little bit of salt on it after it’s done cooking. The only thing is the salt really won’t stick to it. Thank you so much for commenting.
I love your videos so funny
😌 First thing you need to drain and Pat dry The plantains or anything you’re gonna put in that much oil that’s why it’s popping an splattering on you🤓 but I will try the green ones I’ve Only eaten fully ripened plantains, I guess that’s the difference between Haitian vs Latin recipe😉
Delicious 😋. You should try making it with a flour batter with Sprite when you have ripe ones. It’s delicious.
Sounds great!
Going to get some sprite now
Thanks for the kitchen inspiration
Brilliant- Thank you
Great video. Where is the making of pickle ( I know it’s incorrect spelling)? Big up urself 🇯🇲
Thank u

Thank you. Really helpful.
You’re welcome ☺️
Thank you for the info! 🙏
Omg this looks bomb do they taste similar to bananas?
If you get yellower ones it tastes more like bananas (but still starchier and less sweet) greener ones taste less sweet more like potato in a way
Good explanation!
You you you 🤣😭 I love being Haitian
I love it. I will Cook
Soak the plantains in hot water next time and the skin will come out really easy
Thanks for the tip
The oil will jump just a little bit though
Youz everything. Thank you
my pleasure!
This commentary is bomb!
Que rico se ve!! ❤️🙏🏽
Thank you cause I jacked mines up really bad. From the first fry to (not cooking it long) leaving it in the water , for the second fry, and it started to crumble. Fall Apart To Tiny Pieces.
Thanks I like the Haitian fried plantains better lol I no longer like the sweet ones unless that’s green banana
I understand
Her bald headed self. You funny. I'm now subscribed
thank you.
Thanks Sis!
You are so welcome
Thank you soooo much.
Essa receita é muito trabalhosa 😁
