In my opinion this is your best video yet !! It showcases your ability to convey twice the information in half the time. Using the old runner to block the last 2 cavities is sheer genius. Great job, Jake !!!
I truly appreciate all your support and positive feedback!! I was very pleased to get this video done in a relatively short amount of time. This could have easily been drawn out for an hour lol
@@guylangenfeld2123 well I unfortunately live in California right now because of my job but I’m hoping to move back home to Missouri in the next year or so
I think that might be my next massive color demo. I was thinking of it while making this one so I’ll have to order them all at some point in the near future
My bad lol. That LW one is gonna be getting used a lot more from me as well. This video def took several hours start to finish but it’s one I’ve wanted to do for a while
I was waiting for this!!!!! Outstanding job man!!!! Im fairly certain the FGF and MF are one and the same ( they source from MF). If you do a Watermelon comparison I have an extra DoP "Melons" Id be happy to send your way.
Ya they buy from MF and relabel their own bottles so those 2 are the same. It’s funny you say that because I’m actually making list of future colors that I want to compare and ordered a bottle of melons yesterday lol. I appreciate the support though
Yesterday I was messing around with the MF motor oil. I came up with 30 drops of motor and 30 drops MF penny copper, some red and black flake in one cup of plastic. Now I have a motor oil with a copper look. Looks pretty cool. Maybe give a try sometime and see what you think. Very good video on color comparisons.
Lure works is most definitely the old school motor oil color from 30 plus years ago. That would be my choice. I also like the brown look of the gold grub. Great video.
Wow lot of great info in this video and done so in such a quick and simple way. Bravo. Would have liked to see what 1 drop of black does to all of them to have a 4th example but then again that's just me.
If you do any testing with new plastic you can always laminate a color with clear plastic so when you remelt the spru you can just add more pigment and have the exact same color
@@N2TW_customlures that is 100% correct. I got some lire works in today just because I ordered all my colors, highlights, and glitters (just getting started literally) but I’ll definitely try baitplastics next
Great video! You’ve got a new sub in me. I’ll be watching your previous videos and waiting for your next ones. The runner stop was brilliant! It would be great to compare all the “Junebug” colors available. Keep up the good work!
Actually you missed one, ebert by lure craft. I ordered it only because I didn't know what it was. Very similar to mf and like all lure craft colors more concentrated. Great video!
I'd have to say Jeff's MF. Both the old classic motor oil from him and now the new formulation. Second, the Lureworks. I'm almost 99% certain that Fat Guy's purchases straight from Jeff from M.F. A couple of companies here and also Canada places their own label on the products. Also, great choice on the mold to show transparency and depth of the color. I love the Stinger mold. I have 6 of the 4" along with one tail mold. I have 3 of the smaller Stingers with the tail mold. They shoot good with a single, laminate, and or triple. They shoot so good!
Ya the stinger mold is a great one. I have both sizes but not that many lol. And ya I’ve heard from a couple people that FGF buy direct and re packages the colors so those 2 colors are the exact same thing
So price per bottle is actually slightly cheaper from FGF however their shipping cost are slightly higher so it would be about the same unless you bought a large amount at once
I remember being a kid you could send away for a free lure it was a motor oil soft plastic lure it was cool looking but we had no idea how to use it Times change
Ya black can be very overpowering in general so it can mess up a color quick lol. I like the transparent smoke from MF for making very minor adjustments
LW is my fav. I know the MF is the OG, but I just don’t like that sickly green color. I will say that the Do-It is a very nice orange. I’ll check it out. Nice content, bud.
Looks like FGF must have stopped selling their version of motor oil in the MF'n line. They have one in their other line, but it looks different in the pictures. It looks more like the lureworks imo.
@@N2TW_customlures I just got FGF's new motor oil. It looks nothing like the one you tested unfortunately. I was looking forward using it too. I guess I'll need to keep checking MF's website for it to come back in stock. Hopefully soon.

Unique. Great. Useful. Thank you very much.
Thanks for watching!!
My favorites were the Fat Guys Fishing with the fleck. But really thought they all looked nice. Thanks for sharing buddy!
Thanks for watching David!! I had someone confirm that the Fat Guys Fishing version is relabeled MF so those 2 are the same pigment
Great video. Lureworks is my favorite also. It's nice to see the color comparison per brand, you don't see that to much on RUclips
We have more of these lined up and ready to go. Our next video will be the same thing with Junebug colorants 👌 thanks for watching!!
I don't fish motor oil much any more. I agree the Lureworks looks like the motor oil I used 40 years ago.
Thanks for all the work!
It’s my favorite for sure. I appreciate you continuing to watch and support us 🤝
LureWorks for the win
@@mannukemannuke that’s my favorite as well! Thanks for watching 🤙

Great, now I have to get the LureWorks one!! Thanks for all the work and time you put in to bring us this. Another great video my friend!!
My bad lol. That LW one is gonna be getting used a lot more from me as well. This video def took several hours start to finish but it’s one I’ve wanted to do for a while
M-F is closest to the 80's creme color in my opinion. You can always add some amber to the mix to give it a little kick
@@daveschreck6784 that’s a good idea! Thanks for watching 🤙
Great job, that was cool to see!
I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
Excellent video!
Thank you!! I will be doing a green pumpkin comparison soon
Awesome man this was great video thank you for all the tips. Lure works 👍🏼 I do like the dirty version color also 🎣
Thanks for watching!! I don’t like the dirty color for a motor oil but I like it for other patterns. Kind of a rusty craw look to me

I’ll have to try that for sure. I don’t know if I have that penny copper color so I might have to grab a bottle with my next order. Thanks Jim
Lure works is most definitely the old school motor oil color from 30 plus years ago. That would be my choice. I also like the brown look of the gold grub. Great video.
I agree. If I want a changeable motor oil I’m going to grab the Lureworks and if I want the other version the Do-It or Golden Grub will be my choice
Wow lot of great info in this video and done so in such a quick and simple way. Bravo. Would have liked to see what 1 drop of black does to all of them to have a 4th example but then again that's just me.
I’ll keep that in mind for future color comparisons. It’s hard to get every option due to the time it takes to make everything lol
awesome video, I definitely would like to see move videos comparing colors from different brands
I’m going to make a list of popular colors and slowly try to order them all. I think Green Pumpkin and Junebug will be the next couple I do
Great video! The spruce block off gives me an idea when testing out temperatures for laminates! Keeps me from wasting! Thanks
If you do any testing with new plastic you can always laminate a color with clear plastic so when you remelt the spru you can just add more pigment and have the exact same color

Nice work. How does the fat guy’s compare to the MF price wise? I for one would be interested in seeing you compare more colors like this.
So price per bottle is actually slightly cheaper from FGF however their shipping cost are slightly higher so it would be about the same unless you bought a large amount at once
great Video
Thanks for watching
I remember being a kid you could send away for a free lure it was a motor oil soft plastic lure it was cool looking but we had no idea how to use it Times change
I feel like motor oil used to be really popular, then lost popularity for a while and has recently started making a comeback
I use mostly lurecraft colors and they are about 1 drop per ounce it's some thick stuff lol
Ya most of the colors I have from them are very concentrated. Sometimes too concentrated for my liking lol
@N2TW_customlures for sure I had to buy a second black from lureworks so I could get a smoke even 1 drop of lc black made it black lol.
Ya black can be very overpowering in general so it can mess up a color quick lol. I like the transparent smoke from MF for making very minor adjustments
