  • A short and dramatic walk to explore The Rocking Stone, a really cool Instagram spot in the South Wales Valleys.

If you want to say thanks for any of my content you can always buy me a coffee - I don't actually drink coffee so any money received would be spent on used camping gear and the odd can of own-brand energy drink.

Never really appreciated the South Wales valleys, but the drone footage and the views walking down the ridgeway really stirred something. Great footage.

@@jeffprice2210 thanks Jeff. Yes, it's fun looking at the OS map locally and finding new places to explore. Hopefully I'm in the rhythm of two videos a week now and I'll keep that up for the rest of the year.

Another delightful walk Kev and looked plenty of opportunities for a wild camp. well done! Did the rocking stone actually rock when you stood on it? The drone adds a lot to these videos. A walking festival in the South Wales Valleys could be a potential lucrative benefit for the area. Keep up the good work. Regards Keith

@@welshrambler1893 thanks Keith. The rock is very stable, thankfully. A walking festival is not a bad idea.

    Loved that Kev. Really did!
Loving the additive of the done footage.
Soo jealous though as I’d love to find that.
I know you said it’ll be on your site but do you by any chance know the ‘what 3 words’ of the rocking stone or where you parked? Would love to go there!
    Great job as usual 👍

very Nice Kev, I have no idea where this rock is (perhaps you will tell me exactly) it reminds me of a rock called Pulpit Rock, (I was told that 60 years ago?) a teacher of mine drew it with Adolf Hitler on top and brought it to school , very impressive, just had to find it, and I did, it is up the Bwlch y Clawdd Pass, if you look on the OS map for there, you will see name Craig y Geifr, its somewhere around there, its been over 50 years so cannot remember, it is as impressive as the one you shown.

The structure is part of a tram way that goes down to an old winding wheel on the left as you faced the valley. I think it was some kind of pulley thing.?

@@thevalleywalker not sure. Definitely a decent sized structure and just a remnant of industry that reminds you of the past.
