Attacking in front of you to destroy debris seems to more reliably handle it, but I'd have to test it more. The debris attack really sucks though. I hate that there is literally no ability to get in damage, which sucks since the head already takes forever to kill. Oh well. Still a fun fight.
Cetega that was just brilliant. You had a great strategy and it work to perfection. I recently completed RockMan X4 today and for some reason Sigma was completely easy. I was like how come? Everything you did in this fight I didn't do. I did defeat Sigma with much less health and I only use one E Tank. I only lost once. Usually I lose about 3 dozen times. Especially that 2nd form, when he send those flying objects at you. His 3rd form when he draws me in on the ground and those 3 elemental machines I don't attack them. You were so spectacular your were super focus and you concentrated on the objective defeat Sigma with the powerful Legendary warrior Zero without taking damage!!!
@@BigBoiVO nah. i figured it out in a more reliable way, as soon as the head appears dash away from it and the spikes will appear to try and make your crash into them, just change direction and dash towards the head as the wind starts blowing
You can jump attack again, and since the Z saber travels in a circle, you can flick Zero backwards and hit him again with the other half of the circle as it comes back up
But you did this and he did that! Thus not the way you should have done it! It should have been done a different way where you did that and he did this. Duh!
Tap the dash button after every second slash to interrupt and restart the combo. Attack-attack-dash, repeated as quickly as possible, which I am still not that good at, heh.
If the scythe hits the floor, he'll use the boomerangs. If it hits the wall, he'll use the eye beams. He throws the scythe at you, so just touch the wall when he throws it to make sure it doesn't hit the floor.

@@Cetega thank you. I tried it earlier and he ended up moving forward ever so slightly. But it was definitely a learning experience. Im assuming its also doable in other megaman X games?

He throws the scythe at you, not the wall or the floor. It's all about your position.
Really ? I found that second form horrible.
Nice... That debris attack is some nonsense, even with this method, you still have to get lucky enough to not get hit with debris during the suck part
The debris attack is easier to deal with as X with the second Buster upgrade

It's random every time. On my.. 27th? attempt and it has been the debris 90% of the time

How did you slash twice at mid-air?
Is that a "sky master" hack?

I came here trying to figure out how to attack him while he's shooting the debris... Find out that even those that do no hit runs can only avoid it.

As far as I can tell, luck. People have said he won't do it if you stand closer to the wall, but it still always seems to be random to me.

Just hit him with a normal saber jump combo
