If he does the trash attack it's quite simple. Stand in the middle where Zero is in the video. The blue head should block you from being sucked in. Destroy the blue head with the fire attack and then go directly in front of Sigma and SDC him. You should be able to destroy a majority of the trash with the exception being the ones he throws into the air.

Probably because of Bowser's spikes hurting you in Super Mario Bros. when you touch him. In fact, Pac-Man before that! It was a good game mechanic to keep them challenging and was adapted into many other series.

After watching this, I feel confident I can finally beat the final form Sigma. I was so upset many years ago because I was so close to finishing the game as Zero but I died so many times.
@@MissKitty21 dude all you have to do is spam ryuenjin in his laser shooting form and bait him to do a wind attack and when the wind stops just attack him and fight is over sigma in x4 was literally a breeze compared to the fight with general

i do love how they made final sigma on here though. each part has its own energy meter. and this is by far the best and toughest form of sigma i have fought. he was a beast over a decade ago. and both songs of sigma's rocked.

impressive.. I had a little bit of trouble with some megaman final bosses when I was younger (and using a keyboard), but now that I'm older I'm finding it so much easier. These mechanics are on another level though lol
@deathscross7777 If you don't want to get hit, use the Rakuhouha when he does the "garbage throwing" attack. You will turn invincible for the duration of your Giga Attack and not get hit by the debris.
Anyone else realize after the cloaked form the scythe spins the opposite way it impacts the ground. Sigma is facing right, the scythe spins clockwise, but the blade impacts on the left side which is impossible. Just an observation.

I must digress, I had trouble with the final boss for almost a year now and after seeing this video, I just realized if you are able to this then so can I! I won't give up and I will finally defeat Sigma! Thanks for posting this I got a lot of practice to do.
There's Slide Slashing in 1:21. I wish Mega Man X Dive will implement Slide Slashing instead of roll slashing while sliding on the wall and using a Melee Weapons like Standard Saber.

Attack attack dash, in rapid succession. Tapping the dash button after the second slash cancels the combo, allowing you to repeat the first and second slashes rapidly without the third slash triggering enemy invincibility frames. I did a little better with it in the 2019 video, but I'm still not that good at it compared to others I've seen. Definitely useful at times, though. I've seen people use it to destroy the debris during the spitting attack (which did not occur in this older video), but I've never been good enough at it to reliably block everything without taking a hit now and then. I typically hide in a corner until it ends, heh.
reaper sigma is the easiest sigma in all the x games in my book. u can pummel him without takin damage and this video just proved that even though i been doing that for over 10 years.
mayorgtpa, just adjust the control settings (only if it's the PS1 not the collection) any cool man, i usually only get hit about 3 times on the last form
Because that’s any Megaman game. You have the boss rush, then Sigma phase 1, Phase 2, and sometimes even a phase 3. X8 is the only time Sigma doesn’t have a second form, unless you want to count Copy Sigma as the first form, which I don’t because it isn’t really him. The final level in X8 is its own level of bullshit difficulty though. Basically 4 fights with no health refills.
Toni Ton I see what you mean. Yeah, it can be annoying to have to refight the Mavericks each time you need to farm your E-Tanks. At least they’re all kind of pushovers in X4 when you know the weaknesses.
Ryan Jones Oh, that's Zero "infinite" combo. You keep pressing the attack button over and over while dash cancelling mid combo. That way Zero keeps doing the first and second strike over and over again, rather than finishing the combo, with devastating results.
omg ur so lucky. I did this earlier today and all I got was his head spitting at me. He didn't try to blow me into the spikes at all, and I watch this and about throw up. The game hates me.

The head-form of Sigma didn't spew out trash at him once. That's the part I always have trouble with as Zero.

I think it's a technique. If you stay away from him, as you see he did, he won't spit trash.

Even though zero is my favorite, I like keeping my distance away from enemies. But sometimes i like using zero on enemies that movie around a lot.

Best way to avoid that garbage attack is to walk far away towards the wall. Not 100% at the time, but atleast it will save you alot of energy.
