My favourite to win is Iga and here are the arguments: she is playing with less pressure than a year before when she was a defending champion, secondly the surface is slower than in Cincinnati and lastly: 2 years ago just before winning US Open, she played quite horrible tournaments of US open series. This year she made it to the semis of least favourite hard court tournament and only lost to Sabalenka. I believe final will be Iga vs Saba , 3 long sets similar like in Madrid. Theoretically any of them can win but Iga has more mental power in most important moments. That's my pick for now but who knows...
thanks Cam for these amazing updates, I just go to this Channel for new information, than search the net..especially at work for my mini mental breaks..👍..man, several 1st round American match ups.
I need to see more of Lulu Sun to say that she's a dark horse but having played through the American college circuit might give her an extra motivation to play well at an American slam.
Fernandez needs to hold back on doubles in grand slams, power to power, she's not going to beat her hulking opponents, she needs to rest in between, with her petite frame, she doesnt have energy reserves to outlast them.
Focus in the current draw and tournaments. Coz we don't really wanna talk about her easy draw on Roland Garros. It's US Open time and she has a super easy draw here. 😂
@@nhlanhlamakhanya2285 Coz I wanna talk about her and RG draw ,I don't wanna talk about easy mazy draws of Coco, science Cincy, 2023........... USO 2024.
I very much want Iga to win, but I disagree with Cam that her draw is easy. She has Mira Andreeva in her draw, whom she beat at the end of the third set. Mira will be a tough opponent.
Gauffhas already gotten the I am only 20’ bleat in. It’s soo tiresome. Do you hear Alcatraz go on like that? She’s a good tennis player not a great one
@@Transport001-k6i Rybakina doesn't do well in NY. It's surprising because her french open result is better than her USOPEN Someone that serves pretty fast.
Rybackina is player with all the shot, she is a version of Serena, and if not lazy will defeat all challengers on all surfaces. The dark horse is kaliskaya, when comes to talent.
@eiyp3 so the unexpected will most likely occur when Serena was the last player to defend NY since 2014 Federer was the last male player to defend since 08. That's over 10years ago someone defended NY. It's a Slam you see surprises and upsets.
Navarro will go deep in this one.! Quitly playing brilliant tennis.! Rybakina will be there or there about near the final. Dark horses must be Osaka, Christian and Kalinskya.
I'm picking Osaka to win it. I think with her history here, she'll have extra motivation, and she almost took out Swiatek on her favorite surface earlier this year. She's had time to get back to her #1 form, and I think she'll show that here for a championship run.
Exactly, it's not that bad a draw for Rybakina (as she usually gets), but her current form (physical after illnesses etc) and mental (just splitting from her coach) I think is more the issue. Gauff also not in good form, and Swiatek so-so...it looks like it's Sabalenka's for the taking, and I'm betting a surprise on the other side of the draw (Andreeva perhaps?) Think Badosa will also probably go deep, maybe to the semi
Collins has decided to retire and saying good bye to NY. Could be dangerous for other reasons included with name Iga. Zheng is very good all of a sudden. Saw her today at Kids Day practice at us open grounds. Looking sharp. Nothing, i repeat nothing's for granted.
How is Iga's draw easy?🤔Maybe the first rounds, but then her draw gets very tough+ she has Rybakina on her side😂The one with an easy draw is Gauff, as always🤷
Cam is offering potential match ups like a sommelier going through the wine menu. "Maybe you wanna go with something a little different?". This is a tennis tournament damnit, not a 5 course dinner. We don't get to choose!
Damn, I was hoping Cam would add fake tears to the photo of Osaka in the thumbnail like last time. Watching people melt down over a meme was high comedy.

same😢 hope iga could win the title
She gonna meet andreeva again, who knows that kid gonna make upset

Ostapenko face Osaka in first round oh my god , i love Osaka ,but seriously i want Ostapenko going through and go far in this tournament
Noooooo
Gauff has easy draw like always. Iga maybe this time has nice draw but in past she have very tough draw

Great layout Cam👏🏼 Good to see all players' face🎉
lots of tough R1 there😮 Hoping my favs prevail💪🏼🙏

If Rybakina is on her game, her draw is by no means a nightmare
i love Rybakina but after that Cincinnati tournament and the split with her coach, i kinda doubt her

OSAKA OSTAPENKO IS THE BIGGEST FIRST ROUND ACROSS BOTH MEN AND WOMEN
Iga should win
USO is literally the toughest tournament to predict, expect the unexpected
@eiyp3 Ever since Federer won it 5 straight times and Serena won 3 straight times it became Any body's grandslam in both men and women.
@eiyp3 so the unexpected will most likely occur when Serena was the last player to defend NY since 2014 Federer was the last male player to defend since 08.

Thanks, Cam for the excellent updates. I'll go with Sabalenka.
Raducanu has the hardest draw. Projected path to the final: Kenin, Pegula, Boulter, Collins, Swiatek, Rybakina, Sabalenka.
Anyone ranked low has a tough draw. We’re talking TOP players here
First round Osaka v Ostapenko?? 😩
First round,we want to see more of their game, unfair that one of them will have to go,hope not Osaka😢😢
Navarro will go deep in this one.!

I don’t think so. Other than this one good match with Iga she didn’t show anything interesting on court.
Saba for win
Toughest draw is Osakas, first round and you meet a toughest player, sad that one if them will have to go😢😢😢
Of course because she is low ranked now
Snaider will go Far
4:52 HOPING THISSSS
Badosa dark horse
Hope Sabalenka wins!
Us open!
How is Sakkari #9 seed?
Because Vondrousova and Jabeur didnt participate
Exactly what I'm thinking, number 9?
Is rybakina's draw really all that bad? It's not that much harder than gauff's.

Gauff is and always will have easy draw at US Open...
Please stop your vitriol. What about Iga.Maybe you have an excuse for that.
Somebody called the USO as Gaof & Associates. I read it somewhere but I don't remember where.
So people like Cirstea actually travel to NY not playing quallies but hoping to slip into the main draw?

I agree, and then iga probably gonna meet andreeva again
Rybakina has tough draw
She will lose to the Qualifier
Am expecting her call too.
Pegula has beat Iga Swiatek before. Don’t write her off just yet.
Pegula never won GS QF
If NO can defeat Ostapenko who is ferocious and attacking, can move to quarters, I guess.
Francesca Upsetta is an up coming player. She could upset a someone.
Whoever drew Kudermetova in R1 will win the US Open.
worst draw is for Pegula
Rybakina 1rst and 2nd round os ok

Mirra gonna win USO! 🏆🏆
Gauffs, usual Quarterfinal cakewalk....but its UNNNFAAAIIRRR and shes always cheated.....
