- A rare recording of Slipknot performing in 2001. This is Slipknot's 4th ever show in 2001, before the album Iowa was released.
On the Kill The Industry tour at Palavobis Arena in Milan, Italy
"scratching and clawing all the way" never have I heard a low scream this brutal from Corey. holy shit
That was scary 😨
Fucking brutal
Straight outta fucking HELL
holy fuck that was brutal!! while his vocals these days are better than they had been the past few years they will never be as intense as this
Who needs: 4:34
I think his Corey's vocals are better here than they were in London.. shame there isn't a better quality video
Well this was 2001, and it was actually before Iowa's release. By 2002 his voice was fatigated already, a shame indeed!
It was a bit worn in in 2002 after the 2001 touring, but still it was amazing. He kept it together until 2003 ... that's when real problems first began. And yes it's a shame because he lost a Very special voice.
Suaranya lelah
@@iamtheblackwizard88 wasn’t a problem he got sober and felt what the iowa scream was doing to his voice and had to relearn how to scream the right way
He lost this god given amazing scream and had a lot of rough years but the all hope is gone tour and we are not your kind tours he’s sounded really good
Won’t ever sound like this again
0:58 Mick wanted to change sides with Jim but he wasn't paying attention xD
Lol
Mick actually has a habit of pacing around like that during live shows. I think this was just normal for him lol
Jaron Simon true, but that was Mick wanting to switch sides.
Jaron Simon Lol yeah he does, but in this instance he actually did want to switch sides.
Lul, nice catch.. thanks for sharing.
Corey's voice here is fantastic. Holy shit.
I was in the first line! Best live i've ever seen in my life!!
+grillo1985 dat fuckin luck
Quanto avrei voluto esserci 😢
Beato te, dio cane
Lucky
INSTEAD OF DUBSTEP AND RAP, RIGHT HERE IS THE ACTUAL WAIT FOR THE DROP (4:51)
We're all gonna die.
That's a pretty accurate assessment wouldn't you say? :P
iamtheblackwizard88 Hello
the money i would pay to be slightly older to have been able to hear them back then...
I think ive stumbled upon the best live version of Disasterpiece. Holy shit.
4:33 Corey turns into a death metal singer for one moment
More deeper and brutal than bozeman .
@@Natures..Sacrifice Don't lie... PhillyBo has some serious lows and gutturals, and he's not even the most "brutal" vocalist out there. Wb Ben Duerr, Michael Akerfeldt, Cj McCreery, Travis Ryan, Wayne Knupp?
The part where Corey says "Can't see through the sties in my eyes" and "Scratching and clawing all the way" was scary as shit. Why didn't he use these vocals today?
4:34 holy shit
Imagine if they recorded this performance directly from the mic. Fucking hell
Disasterpiece, Herectic, and (sic) have THE most epic synchronised headbanging moments. Holy fucking shit this is awesome.
Corey is SATAN!!!!!!!!(4:27) XD
The last "I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE--*song ends" ... Holy SHIT that was brutal
Holy fuck his low screams were INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DID WE NOT GET MORE OF THEM
+metallicaowns83 Because he dont drink anymore. He never took care of his throat or vocals for that matter. He'd just yell and that was it, didn't even know how to properly scream or growl. The alcohol did the shit for him.
+WiKKiD Alcohol???? I mean you might say he damaged his vocal chords really bad through the time, for screaming so much during tours and records... but i dont think alcohol works that way mate... Like, since when does alcohol help you scream what the fuck hahah
+Dani Portela The whiskey is what did it for Corey back then, he drank Jack Daniels daily during Iowa era. I've heard many of them say that the real party began on the Tattoo The Earth 2000 tour Corey's alcoholism went outta control. I'll never forget the day I bought Iowa on release ... such an amazing album in every way.
iamtheblackwizard88 yeah i know they were fucked up during iowa, but that still has nothing to do with his voice change. Alcohol doesnt fuck your vocal chords, it doesnt work like that. Coreys vocals damaged naturally through time, for screaming so much and so often
+Dani Portela it's from him smoking all the time
i watched this many times and just now realized that chris and clown are up there 4:30 lol
Bruh I wish I was the age I am right now to have seen this back then 😭😭
4:33 wtf corey...
MANTIS ahig voice right here
@@gammapotato no. Its deeper than ahig
Brutal Death metal corey
@@gammapotato lol no.
4:33 Corey morphed into a death metal singer tf
more like brutal death metal .ahaha that one is brutal af
ArcaNe omg your a lp fan too your the best follow my insta @thatone.metal_dude
I think it hurt him he did a lot of clean singing for a line or 2 soon after
That same kinda weird switch happened to hetfield in Mexico City 93 between so what and battery his voice never sounded the same even finishing that concert
Didn't know they toured with Iowa before the album even was released.
Which mask is Corey wearing here? The promo Iowa mask, which he was also wearing in the CD booklet picture?
John Smith he’s wearing the left behind mask or the one that was black and brown, I believe this is the Pledge of allegiance tour, and he wore two masks during the 2001 era (I might be wrong since I’m not 100% of the dates the left behind ver. Was used).
4:51 that delivery was insanity
2001 was the better year of slipknot!!
Corey is a beast!
This must be the best performance of disasterpiece
Goddamn that low from Corey was amazing! Shame he didn't do that more often back then
maybe guttural is not his style, i mean, his more like screamer than growl or guttural. honestly, his clean vocal is so soft.
@@NamelessKing.Sun1 He sure could do gutturals back then, in the few spare moments in which he was sober.
This 4:33 and sic live on ozzfest 1999 scream is just.... not human
We're all going home in a body bag
That’s surfacing, but I always say that during the intro, too😂😂
Well, it's nice to see videos labeled as rare, that are sitting in my drawers for years on old dvd's.
GetASampleOfMe upload them all dude
u p l o a d
I don't know why but when Corey said "We're all gonna die" i just chuckled.
4:42
fuck dude i love this part!
Oh dear gods, this was a heavy thing, all this running around, heavy screaming... I saw them back then, only a few days later, it was brutal, but they failed- only 5 songs and then they disappeared :-/ but never to forget!!!
Ela Wernersdatter How come?
Ela Wernersdatter what do you mean they failed?
@@tomg4685 probably the show was cancelled because of bad weather or something like that
The glory days
5:18 graziee!!!
Brutal asf! I'm so fucking pumped!
Slipknot became death metal for a couple seconds at 4:33
4:33 never heard that from corey
Someone gimme a fucking time machine...
I just realized that his screams from 2019 sound exactly like they do here except his vocals are aged put and he uses less distortion now a days
His screaming is technicue is compleatly different nowdays
@@Kfiekwlwlflflckkg he was using real scream from his throat so that different
@@Natures..Sacrifice I know
