Hey there! Just a tip, the machine should go facing you, meaning instead of moving your arm side to side, you should be able to pull and push, and whit the other hand you just caught the cheese. I hope you can understand my, broken English from Argentina ❤
Try adding peppers mushrooms and green onion to your sheet pant eggs it’s very yummy
Put oil on a paper towel 😂 sorry
@@wendydixon7534 oh yes, I love that! I just didn’t have any 😂😂😂
@@lucianacaccese3486 thank you for those tips!
Cheese slicing tip from a former deli worker, turn the machine 90 degrees so you are pushing away from yourself, then pulling back. Will make it much easier.
Yes!!! You should be pushing and pulling the slicer, not sideways. The cheese should come off the side so your not having to reach around. I think you'll really enjoy it. And deli meats for sandwiches are better priced... turkey, roast beef, ham, etc.... Good luck ❤🎉
I came here to give the same advice
I was so proud when you were slicing the cheese up. Just another thing you conquered. Great job on getting all those sandwiches made. I’m sure the teens are in their glory knowing there are ready to eat. I’m also so glad you aren’t staying up all night cooking and you are stopping and taking care of yourself. ❤.
Thanks friend! I think we’re pulling together some great things over here for sure ☺️
Whew girl! I had a physical reaction watching you slice that cheese. Most days I am ok, however every once in a while when I have to learn how to do a new task it hits me. You are not only healing yourself but many others.❤ We got this!
That overcoming cheese log situation was definitely a whole thing 🙏💕
I KNOW how hard the slicer and provolone cheese thing was for you. I remember. Now that you've conquered it, may i suggest, sometime when you're home alone, you throw that machine out in the yard, set it on fire, and dance around it? Just an idea 😊
🤪🤪🤪🤪LIFE GOALS!!!
@@fishinghole333 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
I was thinking same thing about how hard that was to do when memories come up. But I would throw it out too.
Absolutely!!! Heave hO!! We CAN do hard things and we do hard things every day.
Jamerrill, i started watching your videos around 4 years ago. I miss cooking for my son (24yrs) but he's left the nest 😂. I have stopped wasting food and have tried many of your recipes. I am disabled so its so much easier to make big batch freezer meals. So a massive thank you for all your tips & tricks. Much love from Scotland UK.xx
So good to see you engaged and enthusiastic about this challenge. We get it, good days and bad days, but God provides everyday my dear. You are in my prayers.
they have different blades for that slicer and the one you are using is for bread, the one for cheese is smooth, the one for meat had small ridges on it I have this same slicer and I use it all the time
I think you’ll find the slicer easier if you set it on a rubber mat or damp tea towel. Turn it so you slice front to back, like at the deli. Also cold cheese slices easier. There’s a learning curve. You’re getting there
Sounds like fun fun fun! You're doing it Moma! Just do it. Love it!❤
Jamerrill, you push the slicer bed away from you, not side to side. You'll find it's much easier.
I was nervous the way she was doing it. I kept saying turn the slicer, it will so much easier!
Yes, much like they do in the deli when you watch them slice it. It's great to slice pork tenderloins into breakfast chops too. We use ours for jerky and venison.
Was just gonna recommend that too.
Also put it on a damp towel, this will stop it from moving ❤
Turn the slucer so the cord goed straight in the back then use a push pull motion to slice cheese , meats etc,,, so much easier!
So happy for another big freezer meal day! The music you play and hearing you chatting is so calming while I work and I love thinking about the things I could make for my little family. I am so happy you are taking care of yourself and doing better!
If you turn the slicer around ...
Put the on off button to the front...
Use a push pull motion and if will work much better
Parchment or waxed paper between the slices of cheese will help with separating them later. I enjoy provolone cheese slices on my sandwiches.
Doesn’t it feel good to use what you have? I’ve been doing that all summer. My daughter comes w hers to swim at least 3 days a week and I keep my son’s 2 while parents work. It’s one big pool party all summer long while my grands sing my praises for all their yummy lunches. I love my summers w my family.
You are who I want to be when I grow up 😂
I hope to be a stay at home nana! On a side note, both the grandmas have open door policies for all the grandkids and they spend the summer swimming, eating warm cookies, and playing video games with their cousins.
I love when our kids are home for the summer. I'll never understand people ,that don't have to pay for child care, that complain about having your kids home! Plenty of free or cheap things to do with them. And when you miss that time with them, you don't get a do over. That time is gone.
Pregnant with my 3rd and sheet pan pancakes are my new favorite freezer meal prep! Saves so much time in the mornings.
You are amazing the way you keep going for your children.
Jamerrill I have been watching you for well over 5years now and I have to say I love this new season in your life you look absolutely beautiful and such an inspiration
Whatever you've been doing, you look fantastic, congratulations!!!
Its great to see you coming out the other side of your trauma Jamerill. You look great and have more energy and joy for life. The food looks yummy 😋 . Keep on being you 💐
.
About time you started to take care of yourself and you & them babies love watching when I can stay safe, happy & healthy
I rewatch you every morning before my day really gets going and I been doing the pantry freezer using up challenge so I had canned apples I did the crock pot apple butter fixed a bunch of fried pies Hubby took them for his guys at work! It's Sept 2 2024 Happy Labor Day beautiful hard working Moma!
You go girl !!!
It’s amusing what all you can get accomplished 😊
I’m so glad you’re taking care of yourself. I’ve been watching about 4 years
If you spray the meat slicer with cooking spray it will slide easier also put a very damp towel underneath the slicer so it stays put
You're slicing your cheese sideways darling turn it to where you are pushing and pulling the handle and the power button is facing you and it will be a much easier quicker time for you I'm so glad to see you back and in the thick of it! I think a good rule for your freezer challenge would be to reward yourself x amount of dollars for shopping at the grocery store for every jar you Phil or every item you preserve. Say you get 20 Java tomatoes out of your tomatoes that can be say 2 bucks a jar that's 40 bucks ! Just my thoughts you can adapt it to however but for every preservation project you do reward yourself with the Sharp Shopper credits of your choice
I make my apple butter in a crock pot every year I add 12 cups applesauce 5 cups sugar and 2 boxes of red hots candies so yummy just put in pot and cook on low overnight maybe longer depending on how thick you want it
I do the same except I use pure cinnamon oil instead of the candy. Let it cook until it gets that nice dark color. So good! 😊
I gotta try this because I make cinnamon apple jelly and cinnamon apple, apples for frying and apple pies oh my can't wait to try the apple butter
Great job! Take care! Don’t let yourself get too tired. Rest when needed! Love❤
I personally feel better and gain strength everytime I watch you take back.your life.....keep pushing through😊
I have been watching you for years now and your strength is so amazing. You help me get through my days and have helped me learn i have to do for myself as well!
Hey girl, sending love ❤ youre so inspiring. Your kids are so blessed to have you as an example. You are an example for me as I didnt have one. Thank you amd im sending big hugs and high fives ❤
So many wonderful things using up foods I'm doing it too😊it feels good to use that food up and get freezers organized yay! Great video ❤
Love it!!
I'm there with you using up what I have in hopes of keeping my stock for 2 down a bit ,, lol But I like shopping thise sales
It's been a while since I've been able to watch you, and I love all of your meal ideas. Also, I immediately noticed that you looked like a "Trim-Healthy-Mom." I'm looking to do some big-batch meal prep to have available for my daily lunches and evening meals for the next school year. Tired teachers need to plan ahead.
Love all you do, thanks for sharing your real life experiences and struggles. I follow for all the cooking and meal prep.😊❤ God bless
hey! i havent watched you in a while and babyyyyyyy you are looking great! very inspirational!
Another thing I saw was a hack for pancakes, well you make your batter, spray on oil a muffin tin, she used a mini size one, anyway, using a cookie scoop, to put the batter in the muffin pan spots , then you can top them off with a variety of toppings, she made ones with blueberries, or bacon bits, mashed banana, it looked very.cool, I bet your kids would like that.
Love the smiles! Queen if big batch cooking is back ❤
Nice to see you come back to utube!!!You know we all support everything you do girl❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Girl you rock cooking up a storm of freezer meals from your pantry 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love and hugs from the UK x
Thank you so much for your videos, I can’t do big batch cooking because it’s just me and my 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old grandchildren. I just enjoy the time I spend watching your videos.
So many yummy meals. I have made Cheesy ham hashbrown casserole and Hashbrown soup when i didn't have fresh potatoes. Love your ideas.
If you want to use that slicer, put your cheese(ham/meat) prior for 30min - 1 hour in the freezer, than it will be easier.
I do it all the time this way. (It should be not frozen, but very very cold).
You even can slice very thin Beef this way.
I'm glad that you are taking better care of yourself and not trying to stay up too late to cook. I wonder if when you said you were going to quit cooking at 10 pm, did you plan ahead to not be cleaning up for another hour after your quitting time? Keep being kind to you. We love you.
the apple butter could be cooked in roasters. there is also a really simple Amish breakfast casserole that you could put those hashbrowns in and it freezes great for me when I brown them some first.
Honestly thank you for your videos.
Thank you. I feel blessed to make them 💗💗💗
You are amazing! See lots of personal pizzas and fruity muffins ! Love your ideas to feed your family !
I love Jamerrill you are so inspiring and thank you for another new video
I love my food slicer. We buy blocks of meat, and slice our own sandwich meat. Also, we roast turkey breasts and slice those for sandwiches.
Wow young lady I haven’t seen you in a bit, but I came back to your station. I thought you were one of your daughters you look so good and you sound good and I’m happy to see that.I’m glad to be back. I love your station. You look like you’re 15 years old lol❤❤❤❤😊
Haha, thank you!!
Some days are good, and some days are a struggle, but you are getting thru them. I watch your videos on my low days, and it cheers me up. Thank you🎉
Watching you make apple butter reminds me of the times I helped my Nanny make it over an open fire. Her tip? Use cinnamon candy! It’s both the sugar and flavoring.
Jamerrill your outfits have been on point so cute you definitely need to do this is what I’m wearing today as part of your videos and tell us where you’ve gotten them
So many mixed emotions with the cheese slicing situ 😢😂❤🙏🏼🥴. Live, laugh , run .
I bought a Rival slicer from Walmart back in 2007, best lil investment i made..Still work beautifully...Cheese, deli meat rolls...And its " Quiet and easy to use"...😁
In Scandinavia we use this thing called "osthyvel" (cheese plane). Look it up! It's a staple here. So easy to use and makes perfect thin slices. If you can't find one in the US I'd happily send one to you :)
Jammy you can leave it on and go back and fourth just be careful and use the guard ..you might be over working the motor turning it on and off ..it shouldn’t be hard to bring it back when it’s on 👍it just takes practice .. but not sure about the odd sound when you turned it on though ..
Glad to see mega momma getting her "groove" back !! I love these kind of videos ❤
Jamerrille thank you for being a insperation to me i started my personal you tube channel 3 years ago its taking off slow shortly after starting it i put it on back burner i ended up with uterine cancer and had several major surgerys.. i still got alot to learn and what type of equipment i need to make quaility vlogg videos.. i am looking fwd to your course.. i am not a kid momma but im a dog mom to a cute pomeranan. my videos are not good quaility but i have to learn how to do this.. love all your videos.. God Bless You and Your Family...
You should take some of that apple butter and freeze dry it and turn it into fruit strips.
That egg bowl is bigger than you🤣I need a nap after watching you🤣
I have almost that same exact slicer. I use a damp towel underneath to stabilize it and a little olive oil on the outside bar to make slide more smoothly.
I don't do big freezer meals. There are only 2 of us But I love watching you and your videos. I do like your recipes. Do want to make youe sheet pan eggs. Becky from North West Ohio 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
I have the same slicer if you do a little bit of oil on that bar that slides it's a lot and I mean a lot easier ❤️
I have found it helpful to spray cooking spray on my slicer for cheese. It helps the machine out a bit. Just as needed during the slicing. :)
Love new Jamerill videos!!!!!!
Yes the idea is just slide it back and forth to keep the blade running and you pick them up in the back as you go along without stopping
Great video. That’s a lot of food made today.
Yes, thanks!!
You are doing are doing amazingly well the Lord has you in his hand no matter what we go through I have learnt he helps us no matter what we go through and allows us to do a U turn in our lives. You are an amazing Mum.
Friend, put a bit of water on the suction feet and push down to suction to your counter top. It will help you!
Thank you! Brains!! 🤗🤗🤗
@@JamerrillStewart lol ♥️
Could throw cottage cheese in the bakes for a protein boost

Suggestion for using your hashbrown patties, either use the ground sausage or the links with the egg/cheese mixture. You can individually cut them using the hashbrown patties as your guide for the portion size. This is just my thoughts, use aluminum pans with covers for your freezer meals writing the item and oven temp on it before freezing. Also you can order boxes of individual parchment paper for the size of sheet pan you need. Lays flat on the bottom of the pan. Love watching you channel!
hockey puck bread...I love you so much. 💕
I am healing to and you inspire me sharing that I am not alone. We will get through this and back to us. With the good and the bad days. We will. I believe too. hugs and love
I used to work at a deli and I was talking to you through the cheese cutting. You did well. .
Like good ol' days
There is definitely something wrong with the slicer. I would put it in file 13 and get a better one. Please be careful! ❤. Love all of your videos and recipes.
We’ll have to look for a better one ☝️
The military should call her up. She could feed multipule platoons by herself lol.
🤣🤣🤣
I made breakfast sandwiches for my husband today. I went to put my eggs in the oven and spilled some. My brand new stove hot a bath, now i know what that pull out drawer is for......catching the eggs! You look great!
Great video! As always you really are creative with wonderful meals! You look beautiful and so calm!!
Love your background music. Very peaceful
I've been watching your videos for about 3 years 😊 im in the UK. love them! Your French toast bake is similar to English bread and butter pudding 🙌🏻
Only two of us here, so I make everything fresh to eat, but sure is fun watching your assembly line creations and freezer meals for your tribe.
I feel like the random frozen fruit would have been great blended and made in to popsicles
Hey Jamerrill have you tried chia seed pudding? So easy to make and you can prepare it in advance and take it with you while on a road trip or before/after a run. It’s also a great source of protein so would work well with your THM eating plan. Best wishes from London, England.
It has been a few years since I made that one. You reminded me to make it again ☺️☺️☺️
Jamerrill I tried cottage cheese beat up in my scramble eggs. Now it might not sound appetizing but, it melts into the eggs making them so creamy and delicious. You should try it on yourself and then decide if the kids will like it.
Oh, I love cottage cheese eggs for sure!! I believe I showed doing that in a recent video, but I don’t remember which video now 🤪🤪🤪
You are looking so strong!
Oh my goodness, that mixing bowl is bigger than you are!! It's so huge. It's comical.. but necessary and practical 😂❤
It really is!
"You worked so hard being potatoes" I felt that, lol!
You can adjust the thickness with that dial. also, place a sheet of parchment and do several at a time. They will drop on the parchment paper. If you turn the machine a bit, you will have more control of the cutting and the pieces coming out. OK...well you figured it out a bit, so great. One last thing....the machine should not be moving so much. The suction cups are not holding properly, so maybe they have something under them, stopping them from sticking.
Jamerrill, thanks for your inspiration. I do have a question ... I live in Porter, TX and we were in the hurricane path. We have not had power for 8 days. Thankfully we were able to take the frozen meats to my sister's house to save them. We had to decide to save what would be the most expensive food to replace. So, my question is ... do you have a back up power source for all the freezers and what is it? This will be our third time this year with power loss and I'm trying to make an informed decision about planning ahead. Thanks in advance. ❤
I do not live in a heavy hurricane area. I am in the Shenandoah Valley, which is the mountains of Virginia. We have, however, had extreme weather events, but over the many decades I’ve lived here those have been few and far between. I’m saying all this to show you that I am not an expert in living with extreme weather situations. I believe about 15 years ago we had a Detechos event, which knocked Power out to my farm house for over a week. Derechos cause hurricane-force winds, heavy rains, and flash floods. In that season though I had a very small grocery budget of about $250-$350 a month. I did not have loaded freezers. And thankfully when that event happened, we didn’t have much to lose and were able to use what we had. I do have a portable generator, although I do not know how to use it on my own. In the past when we’ve had a power outage, the power has always come back within four hours or so. The USDA says items in freezers will be good for two days or so as long as the doors remain shut. At this point my plan is to continue to learn and exercise my home canning skills. I would like to have more meat ready on the shelves, then in the freezers. My freezers are a requirement though with my Recipe development and full-time food content creation video work that also provides for the people who work for me and my children. And within all that, I really do feed almost a dozen folks all day every day. So, just saying, it’s a little crisscross applesauce here. If my business wasn’t full-time food, I would probably sensibly have two to 3 freezers. But I manage a lot ha ha. I would love to have a whole house back up generator installed within the next few years.
You're getting it you got it go girl
Some great inspiration for breakfast prep. Thank you so much! Can you add some prices next time. I am curious about the price break down per sandwich. Thanks again!
Love this batches!
On the slicer you need to turn it towards you so you can see the back and you have to not push so hard and go alittle faster❤
When you have extra applesauce you could make applesauce cookies
When I have bags of frozen veggies stuck together, I put the whole thing in a pillow case and drop it on the bench/floor a few times. Works a charm.
Hello how are you doing today I hope you're having a good day today and I love your video 💕
Yasss jamerrill your hair is giving 💅🏻💅🏻💅🏻
When you’re taking something from the freezer in a Pyrex, do you let it come to room temp before sticking it in the oven?
I usually use the aluminum pans with lids to avoid breaking Pyrex. But I’d love to use Pyrex and waste less.
Things are obviously very different in USA compared to GB . Here we are told that although it is fine to defrost then cook frozen ingredients, into meals etc & then to freeze the result , it is not reccomended to defrost food , then assemble it in to something like the breakfast sandwiches / French toast breakfast bake , then refreeze it un- cooked . As ever divided by a common language. Jamerrill , you have incredible stamina 😮. 🎉
Thank you for sharing! From the USDA, “Once food is thawed in the refrigerator, it is safe to refreeze it without cooking, although there may be a loss of quality due to the moisture lost through thawing. After cooking raw foods which were previously frozen, it is safe to freeze the cooked foods.” www.fsis.usda.gov/food-safety/safe-food-handling-and-preparation/food-safety-basics/freezing-and-food-safety#:~:text=Once%20food%20is%20thawed%20in,to%20freeze%20the%20cooked%20foods.
@JamerrillStewart thankyou Jamerrill for the info . Always good to learn , I do think we can get a bit narrow-minded following rules . Apart from free will , one of humanities greatest assets is its adaptability. Keep on running 🏃♀️
