Glad yall made it out safely bro. I probably would’ve been a grown man reacting just like Cher. I aint ever seen a leech in my life. And i never want to. 😭
Nico, welcome back to the beautiful island of Sri Lanka! 🇱🇰✨ It’s wonderful to have you here again. May your journey be filled with incredible memories, warm smiles, and unforgettable adventures. Enjoy every moment! 🌴💙🌄
WOW! You guys are tough. One thing about traveling, is the memories you make, and this one will be for the record books...But you guys made it, and hung tough, to enjoy and see another beautiful day. Thanks for sharing such value-content. We appreciate you guys bringing us a long the way. 1- 💜
Hope you are safe and sound.... its raining season and leaches are common in hill areas.... yap its a different experience ...😂.... stay safe... enjoy SL ❤
Been watching both of your videos. I should have warned you about the leeches. I was in Sri Lanka 15 years ago and experienced them. It didn't notice it crawling up my pants leg.
When I see Cheri, I remember how my sister was attacked by two leeches at once when we went to Reversten. It was funny to see how she jumped on the main road in front of everyone😅 You can also travel there😊however a beautiful place. Sri Lankans love to go there.❤But should wear long trousers and check legs many times. Come to the Central province,Sri Lanka💐 ( Warning:- It is the kingdom of leeches ) My sister said that she randomly searched the bottom of the short bushes in the jungle and there were thousands of leeches like flower bouquets.😖 That was my sister's last sight😂
Do your research before going for walks esp seeking water falls .. as most a them are just exactly just that .. they ain't comnercial like in thailand .. ' & also not too happy to see people charge 500 buch local rupees to use those paths they carved out through their home gardens .. ' these are the negatives of tourists flocking to such areas .. as they become commercial ventures for the village people .. ie .. ella used to be a sleepy quiet small town .. untill the backpackers started to all show up in groups .. what started with people renting out a room or 2 in their homes has gone out of control now that they are upsetting the natural settings of an entire village now.. dangerous as it could lead to landslides eventually as they carve out space out of the mountanious areas to build hotels guesthouses restuarents etc...' theres so much mor to explore than just an old colonial rail track & bridge that transforms an entire area as in ella to a kinda tourist trap ... I'v heard quite a few people say it is just that ...
@nico_outside My experoence is if you look @ the coastal sri lanka mostly fisher folk have got involved in tourism . ' ella for eg is certainly under pressure environmentally.... & when that happens its a disaster waiting on us. Take pie in thailand. After the covids what happened ! ' too reliant on tourism will it ever recover or the people will move on ... Just saying ...' in general ..' bali .. the next . I know folk there who don't like or feel good any more going to a hindu kovil . As they'v become tourist attractions .. ' they loved it here as it was a different vibe ...

Nice adventure guys.
You are one calm man. Cher is a lucky lady. A lot of men freak out from less situations. Where you in the military?
Yes #Army
@ i knew it! You seemed to handle the situation well. NCO?

Careful, the leeches can climb up the legs and go in to all kinds of places. You can buy special socks if you go in to forest areas in the wet zone.

I agree, it's tough to see how tourism can negatively impact some communities.
