Klasik 2020 is the best pair of speakers ever revealed on this channel. Kali is good, but APS is in a different league in terms of impulse response and phase. Although the low frequency is not quite transparent, I really enjoy the subtle saturation that tighten up the kicks. Maybe we could see Amphion here in the future?
I've never heard of these klasik speakers before but the fact that you mention the amphion I can tell that you must know clarity. I'll be interested to follow their journey now.
I agree, I have the klasik 2020s and they compare to if not exceed the quality of speakers in the $3k range like genelecs or other rival competitors. Best speakers for the price hands down
Have been using APS monitors: The original Klasiks and APS Aeon, for last 5 years. Before buying these, I auditioned Adam A7x with Sub 8, Hedd Audio type 07/08, Eve Audio SC 207/208, Dynaudio LYD 7/8, Focal SOLO 6. These were tested in a well controlled acoustic environment with another friend who's a very experienced Mixing engineer with decades of experience and very good ears; i've been ding this for 20 years myself. APS provide the best bang for buck performance; the old Klasiks blow the price competition out of the water in resolution, instrument separation, imaging, soundstage and tonality. The new Klasiks is even better, although i am yet to hear it in real life.
Hey can you get a hold of Ayra Pro 6 or just Ayra Pro series ini general? I've been looking everywhere but there's not really some review of this monitor.
I'm wondering your room acoustic treatment. In mostly each freqency graph I see spike aroud 60Hz. Not sure about rest of the frequencies. Based on your channel I got my Adam Audio T5V but today I feel like they are little dark, even that their tweeters are great and they are still much brighter than my stereo speakers. But I feel like something is missing in them.
@@ae5655 but they are much higher in price I had the Kali IN8 but they had to much hiss sound from the amp. So I think about to buy aps klasik 2020 or the Kali IN 8 2nd wave. This comparison is not really fair
@@CryzorBeatz The Klasiks punch way way above their price tag; something which very very few studio monitors do, definitely to the extent to which Klasiks reach. No speaker, of all which me and another mixing engineer friend have demoed in my studio (Adam A7/8x with sub, Hedd Audio 7 and 8, Dynaudio LYD 7/8, EVE SC 207/8, Genelec 8030/50 with sub, APS Aeon/Klasik 2018, Kali Audio LP 6/8...each monitor was tested for 4-5 days in various ways covering multiple aspects) Klasiks have the most balanced stereo image, resolution, and instrument separation. I own APS Aeon and APS Klasik, and they're my main monitors.(Others are Equators, MSP5, Samson R6a, Adam T7v). My mix engineer friend had bought A7x with sub four years back, recently came to my city and spent some time in my studio, was blown away by the Klasiks, and is now buying Klasik 2020 with Sub to replace the A7x and LP8 setup (He has Kali LP8 as his secondary monitors).
@@AnkurPandeyef okay sounds interesting did you ever test the focal alpha twin evo ? same pricetag and 2,5 speaker system. This things should be really great too but not sure in comparison to the klasik 2020
Hi DS, Could you please tell me which one you prefer, Kali IN-5 or Edifier S2000MKIII. I want to pull the trigger. I am torn between Edifier and Kali. IN-5 is a little bit pricey. I am also thinking LP-6 and Tannoy Gold 7 but I know that you do not prefer Tannoy's because of their unnatural sound. How about Edifier vs Kali??
Hey I recently bought these (Aps klasiks)and I was told I need a step/down converter I live in North America could you tell me which one I could get that would work
It’s a step up to 230v. I’m about to get a pair and going through the same problem myself, hoping to have a 115v pair made. You can use a step up converter but it may introduces ac noise and mess up the sound quality. The actual voltage of the amp is probably 24-36v, so you may be able to modify the internal transformer to work with 110- or just swap it out, smps power supplies arnt that expensive. However, it says on the spec sheet that voltage should be switchable, so I’m guessing there is a simpler fix - it’s not normal for monitors to only work with one voltage. Have you tried just running them at 110v?
I am doubting between the two - can't hear much difference in this video to be honest. I am producing mainly electronic music. What would you do if you had to chose?
Kali sounds cheap for me, it's like very boxy mids, instantly recognizable, at least in this setup, with my k240. I tend to think it's some weird laddering between two big membranes
W przyszłym roku dokupię sub one do kompletu. Ogólnie jestem mega zadowolony!

I tried both in the music store. No doubt APS is better, but its twice the price of Kali.I love my IN5!

Wow, the APS surprising.
Can you please compare Focal Shape 40 vs APS Klasik 2020 ? Thanks.
Aps sounds more balanced, richer and detailed. Kali sounds deeper and more spacious to me
