Glad to see the Nuggets play like the way they did against the Suns in game 1. Showing the entire league, they’re not push overs. Lot of people in the media disrespected the Denver Nuggets a lot, saying that they will lose in the first round of the playoffs.
The Suns starter actually played decently well in GM1 but still lost by 18, definitely a bad sign. I don't know how it was simply a bad game when the team shot 51.2% from the field. I get the turnover was high, but KD and Booker do turn the ball over quite a bit and turning the ball over a bit more than usual shouldn't result in an 18-point loss. It was really that the Nuggets were shooting well and they were unable to stop the Nuggets. So you can call it a good game by the Nuggets, bad sign for the Suns, not a great game from the Suns, but definitely not just a bad game for the Suns.

They used to be. Medical technology, stem cells, and better physical therapy have made it not a career ender, but as you saw with Jamal, it could still take you out of the game for nearly 2 years
Not gonna lie, it took us 3 games in to realize KD was getting swept last year. KD was dominant offensively game 1 and Jokic was missing layups suns still got wiped off the court. Nuggets are so deep Reggie Jackson who was starter all year for the clippers gets no minutes

I don't know if they can maintain that level of play" Jokic had a terrible shooting night and still got 29, didn't get many assist but still drew tons of attention allowing for his teammates to get assist and score easier. Plus MPJ didn't really get going until the 3rd quarter. This was not even Denver's top form, they can easily be a team that can score 140pts.
Can we STOP it with KD being considered one of the best players in the league? He is top 15, low top 10. He doesnt defend well, rebound well injury proned and cant score on double teams, and doesnt play well thru contact. He left young Russ, Harden Perk and Ibaka to go play with Steph… Then left to play with James and Kyrie. Now Chris Paul, Ayton AND D-Book. And about to go down 2-0 against Denver…. Perkins isnt wrong. I recall him saying that during the KD trade, the Suns lost a huge and strong part of their bench which can cost them in the playoff times. I remember it well because that was probably the only time I 100% agree with Perkins, ever.

Denvers bench have no scrubs. Their depth as a team is REAL! If a team was able to pull away the lead deficit with your best player on the bench you have a SERIOUS problem.
The nuggets biggest enemy is there own complacency. If they show up and play like the way they did game 1 then the Nuggets got this in 5. they win one in Phoenix and come back to finish them in Denver. I have watched them the whole year . No one can beat the nuggets at their best. But they are capable of shooting themselves in the foot with their attitude
I think the only way to destroy a good Nuggets team is to have a good 1-2 punch with big man and perimeter scorer so they cant hide Jokic in defense. He cant guard all star players, even if he isnt as bad of a defender as medias make us think, same for MPJ. Their offense is so good and so balanced that you’re obliged to beat them at the other end by pressing on they weaknesses.

You can't let jokic and mpj hide on defense. Whoever is matched up with those 2 have to be the pick setters to create those mismatches. Jokic can't defend the perimeter and he is certainly not a great recovery defender. You have to bring them out to the island. Easier said than done though
I agree with Stephen A. Jamal was incredible, and the fact that KD, CP3 and Booker are playing a lot of minutes. That would be exhausting for younger players- but they are much older. I don't think they will have enough gas to last the series. This is no way takes away from the incredible skills of The Suns, I just think The Nuggets will go a lot further.
4 steals in 14 minutes is crazy. He played terrific defense on Durant in the matchups they had after the all star break too. He is a great rim attacker and has learned how to play alongside Jokic so easily (Joker makes that easy tho haha).

Ayton needs to outplay Jokic, and they need an answer for Murray and Gordon. Then pray that MPJ doesn't go off for 25 points. Murray shines best when there's another star guard in the playoffs. He's 15-2 against Booker. It will be a much more competitive game tonight, until the 4th. The Suns were visibly gassed in the 4th qtr last game.
