I enjoyed watching that more than I thought I would. Both players played as well as they could, and the matches were riddled with moments of tension and release. It was like a well-written book.

Things have gotten much more advanced than the cards I own. The newest thing I have is a Dark Team Rocket set or something from the RSE days.

Joe Bloggs Old cards can sell for a lot. You should check out ebay and see what your cards are worth.

I never thought card games like this, yugioh, mtg and even some of the more obscure things like netrunner and game of thrones would get this big of a following that they can have tournaments on a scale this big. I mean I love these games I just never thought they'd get as popular as they did.

Recently bought a Jason Klaczynski deck. Good over all, modified and called it Freezing Nightmare.
His decks are pretty awesome. No wonder he won 3 times. Check out his blog, he lists legacy formats of Pokémon with custom formats etc, it's good!

+doing63 you can't just go to any tournament u want you have to meet the requirements so at worlds you have to have 450 championship points or above and u get points from winning tournaments
That was funny to me during the end of the first game when they were saying he needed to draw 2 colress machines to attach 2 plasma energy, because I was playing a game with my son not long ago and I was using one of those Legendary Battle Decks with the Team Plasma Articuno and he had me beat and I played an N or Lima or Shauna or Colress and I told him I needed to draw 2 colress machines and a water energy just to have a chance and then I did. Then I said I needed there to actually be 2 plasma energy left in my deck. I felt bad beating my kid with such a purely Lucky draw.
They get the greatness of being an excellent pokemon trainer

I have no idea what any of the cards are and I can see that they have at least 3 cameras covering the games so why not show each player's board more clearly? It wouldn't be so hard to let people who don't know what the current cards do watch this too!
@P Rodrigues you can oly go to worlds if u have enough championship points your have to have 450 or more and u get them from winning tournaments

Listen to the narrators. He has Junk Hunt, which is one of the best moves in the entire TCG.
Junk hunt lets you get back 2 items cards - Energy switch, energy search, pokemon catcher, random receiver, ultra ball, laser
Would be interesting to try the TCG for myself sometime...

the game itself really isn't all that hard - the hard part is building a deck and coming up with a strategy (though if you're a beginning player, buying one of the many theme decks out there is a really good idea so you'll only have to focus on strategy at first)

Why are the players wearing head phones?
They are noise cancelling headphones so that they can't hear the commentators. They can probably talk to each other through them as well.
