  • I replace the front struts on my 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ equipped with magnetic ride control suspension. The OEM struts are way too expensive so I went to amazon and picked up a set of Luftmeister MagRide replacement struts.

Thanks man! My wife’s 2015 Tahoe has the worst ride quality I’ve ever experienced. It literally gives me a headache to drive from being jostled. I just ordered all 4 from Rockauto… I appreciate the demo you put together.

@@fahadalmansour6006 Hey bud, I bit the bullet and bought the GM shocks and struts from Rockauto - the Tahoe rides great now! When I pulled the old ones out 3 of them were caked in oil so they were definitely toast. I would recommend the GM ones from rockauto, but be prepared to spend $1900 for the set. Gotta do it though…

I, too, have a 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ w/ Magneride suspension. It has about 150,000 miles on it. I purchased my strut assembly from Strutmaster. My son & husband are supposed to be installing tomorrow. ($799.00 2015-2020 Chevrolet Tahoe Magnetic Struts Front OE Replacement Kit (GC5FB)) BUT since I want to raise the front end a couple of inches to level it out, I might wait until next weekend since they'll have to take the assembly out again to put on the spacers.

Also anyone changing the struts there was a TSB by Chevy on the jounce bumpers in these struts. They revised them, so I will change those out when doing the struts. When they go bad your struts will sound like a spring mattress. Hope this helps somebody.

Changed mine out on my 2015 Yukon Denali at 61k as they just started to leak and the ride got a bit rough. Just did the left again at 81k due to leaking but is was covered under AC Delco limited lifetime warranty. RockAuto shipped the new one quick and processed the warranty on the bad one quick! The rears are seeping slightly but still going strong. In case you have to do it again, you can get to those top strut bolts through the engine bay without removing the fender liners.

How does the warranty work, I’m also planning on getting some replacements from rockauto, but I’m confuse of the lifetime warranty so if the shocks start leaking after the same time the magnaride shocks leaks around 80k miles, you get free replacements so I’m theory I’ll get free shock for the rest of the life truck?
