“No love story started with salad”
I know a couple who actually met through salad, she combined really weird food in her salad and topped it up with ketchup and he stood next to her in line and started their first convo with “what the hell, are you crazy?”
They have two kids now.😂
Aaaaawwww 🥰
That’s such a funny cute story lol
thats so cute 🤣
I laughed at this 😂
Could you do a video about wedding ideas for introverted couples? I'm not into partying, dancing, drinking, being around too many people, ect but I still want a meaningful and memorable event to celebrate. Any tips or ideas from weddings you've worked before?
I second this!
Yes I would love this as well!
I know a girl that had an outdoor morning wedding with a picnic style lunch to follow
Yes please!
That essentially describes my fiance and I, we are having a low key wedding with no dancing or anything like that. Small guest list, ceremony straight into reception, barbecue buffet, and an early night. The whole thing will be said and done in about 5 hours. We're spending the money in the honeymoon instead and keeping the event super low key.
The last wedding I went to had reserved seating in the front that no one ended up sitting in during the ceremony. Make sure that the people it is reserved for know to actually sit there so it looks like people actually went to your wedding
I might have a video idea if you haven't done it already: popular games/activities during the reception/cocktail hour. Like the photo booth or corn hole and so on. I'd love to hear more ideas from you!
Wow... I just realized how many freakin’ signs I actually need 🤣
I'm going to include a "smoking area" sign, possibly with a pop-up tent. Here you have to be a certain distance away from a building to smoke, so I might as well make it easy for people!
Can you make a video about dress code for guests?? 😊
Yes girl! 👏 I really need that one!
Danika yesss
YES!!
basically, don’t wear white, don’t wear all black (it’s not a funeral), and don’t wear anything too revealing or flashy or takes attention away from the bride. you can look good, but the day isn’t about you. you shouldn’t be fighting for attention with the bride. outfits should be casual formal. dress up but don’t act like you’re going to red carpet event, but not so casual that you wear jeans and shorts. and again ABSOLUTELY NO WHITE.
I usually go for a solid colour knee-length dress with black or nude heels. I don’t wear anything to show cleavage and don’t wear anything too short or super form fitting/tight. because again, the day is about the bride. not about you.
at least that’s my own basic rules and understanding for wedding guest dress code
Choose a seat and not a side you’re loved by both grooms cuz there is no bride. 😁
In that situation... you're loved by both grooms, who needs a bride? 😂
You don't need to choose a groom; please sit where there's room.
Omg I love all of these !
Lol cute. :)
Please choose a seat wherever there's room, you are loved by both the grooms!
Jamie! Hi dear. Could you please make a video on the different kinds of seating arrangements (round tables, big u shaped arrangement etc) and their pros and cons? 💕
YES!!! Please and also one that covers tablescapes?? Do we rent plates and cups and stuff and what happens when they get dirty? Disposable plates for strict budget brides? Need some help and directions with that...THANKS!!
Jamieeeeee this!
Please someone tell me this was made!
I literally watch your videos once for entertainment and then again with my wedding binder and a pen to write down all your tips and tricks. I swear this channel has helped me have such a good grasp on wedding planning!
Can you do a video on wedding party gifts? What is a good amount to spend on each person? Who do you give gifts to?
I’ve been making my own signs and I’m OBSESSED 😂 like I keeping making more because oddly I find it fun
There's an etsy account in there somewhere (; I love to be crafty but I stink at it so I always appreciate well made items from others!
Jamie posted a video... DROP EVERYTHING
Loving your channel! You should do a video about bilingual weddings, and how to include both languages ...please? :)
My boyfriend and I are just starting to plan our wedding. We're paying for this thing ourselves and we're on a limited budget, so we also have to plan all of this without hired help. I found your channel earlier this week and I couldn't be more grateful for all the info you've shared! Both of our families have never had a 'traditional' wedding with all the works, and neither of us have attended a traditional wedding, so this is a whole new territory for us. You've been an incredible help, and I look forward to using all this advice in my planning!
My wedding is Saturday.. I wish I found you sooner lol
Can you do a more in-depth video on how to honour a lost loved one at a wedding? My mum passed away a few months ago so I'd like to incorporate her and some people my fiance has lost into our day.
Also I love that you're matching with your bedding!
We decided to light a candle next to us and maybe write a little sign that indicates the purpose and maybe even add the names of the people who passed. Theoretically you could also mention her in the ceremony...since it was so recent and such a close relative. I am sorry for you loss❤️
My fiancé and I have 3 relatives that passed which we would have loved to have attend our wedding. For our ceremony, my fiancé and I are going to have 3 chairs set up in the front row of the audience and a pic of each loved one will be on “their” chair it with either a boutonnière or corsage next to it- whichever they would’ve worn that day. Then we will move all of their stuff to a memory table for the reception...you can also get locket/picture charms for your bouquet, play their favorite songs in memory of them, light memory candles, or even save seats in the reception as well like we are for the ceremony. Hope that helps some!
Sorry for your loss... I lost my dad last year, wedding is next yr..I saw one idea with a table set up with photos of missing loved ones, a lantern with a candle inside, and a sign that's said "this is lit for our loved ones who cant be here today."
Also, etsy has bouquet charms "dad/mum walk with me today" and a photo on the opposite side..i cant even look at those w/o sobbing though. .
Pinterest has a lot of really beautiful ways to honor loved ones who have passed. I’ve seen a small table with those people’s photos. Or an empty chair at the ceremony with a sign either to honor one individual or a general message about passed loved ones
My grandmother passed may years ago but she was a big part of my life, and I have a younger brother who passed away just a few months ago. I crochet so I'm actually making something for each of them to incorporate into my wedding. It really just all depends on how you want to express yourself. I love some of the ideas I've seen on here as well though. Best luck to you!
Girl you keep me grounded. Thank you for being so real and helpful!! Whenever I feel stressed out I listen to your videos and it helps me chill. *deep breath*
My fiancées been judging me for the amount of sign stuff I’ve been buying because our wedding isn’t until November of 2020 but now I’m gonna show him this video as proof that I need all the signs 😂😂
I'm getting married in October of this year and I am ADDICTED to your videos, they are the most helpful wedding videos I have seen by far! Thank you so much!
Colleen Magee omg I’m getting married in October too ! ❤️
Me as well!
This came at the perfect time. I have a week off and I wanted to tackle getting all my wedding signs done while I have time to craft. Thanks girl!
I want an unplugged wedding, definitely. When I was younger, I was just going to ask them not to post anything until after the honeymoon, but then my older sister told me about all of the pictures they had to trash because of all the phones in the pictures. My wedding is definitely an unplugged wedding.🔌📲🙅👫
I agree with you. I'm getting married soon. And I've always told my friend that I dont want people with iPhones up in the air. So this sign is something I'm definitely going to do. Thanks for sharing.
Had an unplugged ceremony but then during the reception after the 1st dance people could take as many pictures they wanted and did a wedding #
I bought a MASSIVE one second hand, having my priest announce it by introducing the photographer and her team. It is also all over my wedding site
I’ve been binging your videos the last three days and I didn’t even notice this was a brand new video! Thank you for the fantastic ideas!!
Thank you for making this! I'm sure I'm going to come back to it many times before my wedding. Also I love that you match your bedspread.
This is literally my next job on my wedding to do list! Slightly a bit overwhelmed by the amount! Time to get crafty!
You have been SUCH a life saver for the DIY bride! Im 44 days away from my wedding and i'm going over all of your videos again and again to make sure EVERYTHING is in order. I honestly could not have done it without your help! Thank you! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
I just said yesterday that I had no idea what wedding signs I really needed and then you just posted this video! Thank you so much! It has made everything so much easier!

Omg thank u for this. I need it too!
God’s work here
YESSS!! New Jamie video! I love both your channels and I’m so thankful I found your vids while planning my April 2020 wedding. You’re AWESOME
My favorite wedding channel!! You are the best Jamie!!!
I watched this video and was thinking about my venue in my head and am making sure that I have all of the signs that I need. Thank you so much for this video!!
Thank you for the dessert sign idea! That’s perfect!
I just found your channel over the weekend. Wish I had found it earlier! I’m 2 weeks away from my wedding and in complete panic mode! My bridesmaids are both coming from overseas and my parents live overseas too so it’s been a solo effort getting it all done. I’m planning on doing all my signage this weekend so this video couldn’t have been posted at a better time!!! Thank you for putting your content out there- it has helped me immensely already to know what I’m on the right track with and what things to consider before the big day.
Thank you thank you thank you!
Wow, I wish I had you when I got married 7 years ago! We had no signs (because I was young and didn’t have anyone to help me and tell me I needed a welcome sign!), and guests were wandering around when they arrived and kept interrupting our bridal party photos because they didn’t know where to go! 🤦🏼♀️
Our #1 thing we would change about our wedding would be to hire a wedding planner or at least a day-of coordinator!!! No fun to have to answer everybody’s questions when you’re already stressed out of your mind and just want to get married!
Another amazing one! I’m hoping we might get a video around ideas for kids, particularly during the reception (please) or even one regarding dealing with in laws you don’t get along with. Can’t wait for the next vid! ❤️
This came out at the perfect time for me! I'm 30 days out so am finishing these details. Thank you for the resource.
Thank you Jamie. 🌻 So needed this video. Just did venue inspection and I was in two minds about signage.
Your videos have been SO helpful for me trying to plan my wedding! The one thing I’m dreading is trying to organize my seating chart (deciding who sits with who). If you have any pointers on navigating through that I’m sure a lot of people would find that really helpful!
You do such a great job!! We are hosting our son’s wedding in two months and the information you share has been SO valuable!
Yes thanks so much! I haven't even had a meltdown over signs yet so you've officially pretended it! And I love the one's you DIYd, it's saved somewhere in the diy section of my wedding board (it's the biggest section, no one's surprised). Do you guys do signs for driving directions in the states? They're super common in Scandinavia, usually a sign with the couple's names and an arrow pointing in towards the venue so that guests know they're close by. I love them cause during the summer months you'll see them all over the place while driving around and they just make me all happy and mushy 😍
Needed this so much! Thanks for your insight. Greatly appreciated. Could you do a video about transportation?? Shuttle, buss, Uber, Lyft, etc. Thank you!
Soooo helpful! I’ve been thinking a lot about what signs I’ll need and didn’t want to miss any!
Could you do a video about the pros and cons of assigned seating vs open seating? It would be very helpful to hear your thoughts on this, with all your experience.
You are SO helpful! Thank goodness for all your videos to help me navigate through all this! 😍❤️
You must read my mind!!! I was thinking about the same question last night🥰
Love putting the timeline on a sign for guests instead of a program that is a pain to print and they will just toss- our hindu ceremony already needs its own program, thanks!
Another amazing video as usual Jamie! Perfect timing too as I was just thinking about wedding signs the other day! We're getting married in July 2020 so plenty of time to diy me some signs haha xx
As an starting event planner I believe in the power of a good Coordinator and that is all lol. Depending on how big the event. Lol no matter what signs are adorable. I love programs!
Oh damn! I am so glad I found your Chanel!!! I am realizing how much I have forgotten to consider and also how much stuff I can just ..iliminate! Thank you! :)
i can not believe it took me so long to find your channel you have great content I'm learning much about the wedding process!!
We are having a robin hood theamed wedding so we are going to have arrows pointing to the ceremony, reception, bar and sherwood forest.
This sounds like an adorable idea.
OMG thank you so much for making this video!!!! I needed this!
I listen to your videos at work, and I started tearing up and had to pause it when you talked about an "in loving memory of" signs! I didn't even consider that!!!!! But now I'm going to do that for sure.
I didn’t even think about these things for my wedding 😂 thank you for always helping us out!! 👰👰
*the queen is back* 😍😍😍
Thank you. That was very helpful !
Thank you so much for this one! I was getting so frustrated with signs!
Brilliant video! So many great tip. Thanks a million 😊
This video was super helpful and informative! Thank you :)
You are the best and an inspiration
So very helpful Thank you!
Thank you so so much for this! So helpful ❤️❤️
The flower vases with names on them os such a cute idea
Omg love the outfit !
Love your videos ❤️
I love the honoring your loved ones that have passed. My fiancé and I have had a lot of loss in both of our families and this would be really nice way to honor themz
Just subscribed, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Not engaged yet but we’ve been looking at rings so I figured I’d start planning now just in case haha
Didn't think about some of these, but glad I watched this!
Thank you very much really helpful
your outfit is so cute!
Hi Jamie...thanks for the info.
We're doing a themed wedding so many of the signs we bought will go up in our home later. I figured that justified the cost. Or I made them from things I already had in my home. I've had so much fun doing them.
Another excellent, informative video. Copious notes taken. Much appreciated -- thank you!
Jamie, you should talk about rehearsal dinner. What’s expected, tips to make it affordable, etc
This channel is so informative! I can’t wait to rewatch these when I actually get married
I am obsessed with getting wedding signs it's like an addiction lol I just feel like it makes my simple wedding look much more put together
It is true: well placed signage can really be a stress reducer. No worries for guests about where? what? when? Just happy flow. but also true: brides--don't stress. We, your guests, love you and we will find you and have fun celebrating your marriage. :)
I love your videos! Have you done an evening ceremony and outdoor night reception? If you have, can you do a pros and cons video? And how was the overall experience? I am really planning on doing one but I’m not sure what to expect.
How on earth have I just found your channel? (Well about a week ago... I've been binge watching 🙈)
You've given us so much inspiration for our wedding, and I'm so thankful for it 🙌🏻
We've been engaged for 8 years (yup... 3 little babies have come along in that time and stolen our wedding funds)
We are finally getting hitched December 28th 2020 (12 years to the day we started officially being a thing)
Love from Scotland 🏴💕
You listed ones I didn't think of. Thanks! :-)
Thank you for this, super helpful. The desert bar opens at X time is a great idea. Didn’t know how to fix that. Love doing away with printed programs, I’d rather DIY a sign. I’ll be doing a welcome sign, order of events, menu, guest book (signing a deer or cow skull) seating chart, and reserved sign for first two rows. I’m probably forgetting some but that’s so far. Love your videos!
You are very very helpful ✨
This is SO helpful for my wedding!! I am interested to see your thoughts on set up/ tear down. I'm stressed that I won't be able to be there morning of to set up because I'll obviously be getting ready. Who are good people to assign to do set up? / does everybody bounce once it's over and who ends up cleaning up and gathering all the decorations? My reception is in a barn for reference. I guess I can do as many walk-thrus as I need and then provide a detailed list for whoever is setting up of where everything goes? Thoughts appreciated- thank you!!
Something so important that I never thought of! Thanks Jamie. My wedding is 02-29-2020. Leap year!
Mine too! Wedding buddiesssss!!
Is this a stupid question? When would you celebrate your anniversary in between leap years, Feb. 28th or March 1st?
And me!
@@terrellpeterson6536 I want 4 presents every 4 years 😁
Same! And we're planning on saving up to celebrate BIG every four years (such as international travel, camping getaway, etc.) and not really doing anything on the off-years.
I was literally just thinking about signage! My friend has a cricut so I'm heading up to her house this weekend to work on them! :D
Same!
The unplugged ceremony sign is an absolute MUST for me, but I also want a “pick a seat, not a side” sign because my guest list is going to be significantly longer than my fiancé’s... but I also don’t want to have a million signs up, so I just don’t know
The one "must have" sign for our wedding has to be a "No Admittance Except On Party Business" sign from Lord Of The Rings. We're doing a loosely hobbit tavern tea party theme wedding, and anything in that Tolkien font is fantastic.
I'm doing a be our guest welcome sign as our wedding is upstairs in our venue and a wedding this way sign to send people upstairs xx
I’m doing a sign for the bathroom asking people to use the hand towels and not the air dryers in the bathroom until after the ceremony. It’s an indoor venue and the bathrooms are close enough that the incredibly loud air dryer would be heard from the ceremony if someone were to use them. We have a lot of kids coming and so there is a chance someone will need to go before we say I do.
This is so helpful because I was really going to skip a lot of signage but now I'm rethinking that. Haha.
Can you make a video about what to include in a wedding website/Facebook group? Especially for the people coming out of town, or people from other countries, or people who are dear to you but you don’t see that often?
so i know you’re not into favors, but we are doing a propagated plant in our centerpiece, it will have a tag that says how to take care of it and that they can take home a piece of our wedding and watch it grow with us! i hope people take them lmao
"A bunch of locusts..." LOL🤣😂😁Love your videos!
So helpful! Can you do a video on table arrangements? I would love to hear your thoughts on sweetheart tables, classic “80’s” bridal party on display and recently I saw the bride and groom sit with everyone else! Should I put all the kids together? Thanks!
You the G.O.A.T Thanks girl
Love your videos my friend
I've seen couples avoid some of the reception area signs, by just having the DJ announce it. i.e "remember guys, couple send-off at 10pm."
My wedding is all in one small location 😂 totally here for the video though. Now I wish I would need signs😅
I love your videos! What are your thoughts on wedding day hashtags and/or cell phone use at the ceremony?
Jamie, I think it's time for another diy!!
