- In today's video unfortunately we are back TBing AGAIN. This is something we have to do because of the positive test we got last June but its a right pain in the ass. It take two days of work away, more staff but STRESS! Has it come back? or are we back being a clean herd!

You can tell how happy cows are and secure in their realm, when activities like this round of TB testing doesn't phase them. There's no way they would return after their session in the crush, to watch their sisters get theirs, if the process frightened them.

What a relief to get the all clear on TB. I can fully empathise with you on feeling tense and stressed Tom. On a much brighter note, it is so good to see so many women actively working in all aspects of agriculture. Farming has always had women farmers, but it is now far more accessible to women than it used to be. Especially women coming from a non-agriculture background or upbringing. This is a good thingl!

Congratulations on your clean record. I certainly hope that the ones that are coming up will be as productive and clear as this one.. I think you’re very wise and not having a public opening this year however, I’m so glad that we’ll get to see it because the cows are so fun and if you’re out there, they seem to wanna be with you and I know when the crowd is there, the cows talk to the people and put on such a great show. It's amazing to see how intelligent cows are, They understand something is happening they aren't used to and it's worrying them like you said they are moving to the back, They all have their own personalities.

The women workers on your farm are technicolor!!! Really think about that and appreciate what they add to your videos and the animals lives. I am a man from the last century and have no use for this century’s “sub titles”. These ladies you have helping you also give your channel life beyond just fact. It's almost too wet for cow's on that pathway b4 they went into the field. Lol but watching them going in ... they know what your doing & is so excited. Lol I use closed caption to watch, so i can have the volume down when family is watching their thing. It's quite funny at time's what it comes up with when you are talking. 😅

A bull could be the source being around a couple years then a new one. The sheep are just a thing for he farm as are the highlands which is what I would think hard about. Your girls are good workers and do things well plus the jokingly attitude they have make even videos nice to watch.

I held my breath through nearly all of the video and felt so sick waiting for the results - thank god everyone is absolutely perfect, 2 more lots of testing then clear for a few years.
I know its virtually impossible to keep wildlife out of the fields so how on earth do you try to protect the cows when they are out? Learning last year that deer are more likely to be the cause of TB how on earth do you try to keep them out.
What I don't understand is why hasn't anyone come up with a TB jab for cows that then protects them for life.
Anyway Tom I am so happy that everything is fantastically well with the cows, good luck tomorrow with letting the cows out, enjoy the AGM and I look forward to the Sunday video.
I hope Joanna is doing well she is missed but hopefully we will see a more of her when the sun comes out ☀️😊

The farmers breakfast are the best. I used to go to day release at the local college, a warm up for Ag College. I used to travel with the neighbours dairy farmers son. Arrive at breakfast time at his house, huge breakfast plates the size of a jcb wheel.

To me, not a farmer, the long duration of the TB testing is gov't run amuck. Whatever stray animal, likely deer, that ran through and gave the 1 cow TB was a fluke. And with such a long testing timeline the same thing could happen again at some random point. Only way to stop the deer is installing 8 foot fencing around the entire perimeter or never letting the cows outside. Both are not reasonable options.
