I bought this set for my brother for Christmas when I was 7. I remember buying for the sole purpose that as soon as my brother put it down I would play with it... I loved that set. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
Jungle was slept on, but lately a lot of people are revisiting it and realizing how cool these sets were. It's a shame the release was really limited and the sets now command riddiculous prices. It also introduced parts like the spider, swordleaf and 4x4 palm trunk.
I was honestly quite oblivious to the subtheme too until Moto brought up Achu in the LEGO Masters Q&A. When I got my hands on some of the sets then I realized dang, there's something really special here with this line.
1:04 I love how your logo is in the magnifying glass. I thought there was an image in the glass until I realized we were seeing your logo from the back wall. So cool. 1:33 I've never seen that backpack before. Those printed bricks with the gold are probably really hard to find with the gold intact still. I love learning about these old sets and themes that I missed. Keep up the great content. I especially like the content where you open BrickLink orders from stores whose name starts with an R. ;)
It would be so cool to see Adventurers again. I'd love to see what they could do with the minifigures these days especially. We've gotta a sweet taste with some of the CMFs, but imagine a whole cast of them...
You’ve definitely got the best lego review on RUclips, they’re such high quality! I’m super happy your review Adventures because it’s easily legos best theme in my opinion
Thank you! These are a ton of work, but I'm so glad it's appreciated. Adventurers is definitely turning out to be one of my new favorite themes too. I'm always on the look out for the kits now!
1:25 floppy arm skeleton is definitely the superior form. The only Adventure set I've ever gotten was the $4 set Secret fo the Tomb just for the floppy arm skeleton!
This was my first lego set as a small child. I must have been four or five. I don’t remember the context, only building it on my babushkas dinner table. Adventure theme and Dinosaurs were my whole personality in those years. I got every set for their Dino Island sub theme
Amazing little set! The memories are coming back, I got this, and eventually the big set with the baseplate that Xmas. Finding the old pieces for this at my friends house was like a real adventure, LEGO archaeology!
@@CheeseyStudios this was my very first Lego set actually. It holds a very special place in my heart and it’s great to see other people getting so much enjoyment from it as I did.
God those old school minifigure backpacks and the subsequent smaller variants were so cool. I don't know why but they always added so much personality and charm to whatever figure you decided to attach them to.
My first LEGO set! I played with this so much, and in doing so, unfortunately lost some key pieces (like the baseplate). Happy to say I still have many more uniques, like both printed columns, the figures, and lots of the accessories. May need to consider replacing the missing pieces and making it whole again which would be a first for me. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. :)
To me, the Jungle line will forever be "the one that got away" I got a lot of Desert sets, but the Jungle ones passed me by. There one second, gone the next. I still remember making my own Adventurers subtheme back when I was 8. It was set in Greece, and Baron von Baron had his broken hook hand replaced by a golden minifig hand. I imagined he had stolen the hand of Midas, and was using it to turn everything into gold.
I love the lego system theme and these sets from the 90s - 2000s where lego sets and themes were at their peak. Nowadays I feel the market has shifted with lego, meaning they're more focused on trying to make models for adult collectors rather then toys for kids and families, idk thats my main gripe with modern lego. Anyways, good stuff
If you think this one was great, it's older sibling oasis ambush is a true classic. Pair it with a scorpion tracker or bi wing baron (or both if you're feeling froggy) and you've got hours of timeless fun.
@@CheeseyStudios It's probably in the attic of my parents' house in a very deconstructed form, mixed with hundreds of other sets from my childhood... lol
I'm certainly learning a lot from these kits - what works, and what doesn't. Adventurers did so much right it's crazy. Including lots of cool pieces isn't a revolutionary concept, but it sure seems like it in an age where just not that long ago you had to buy 6 different sets to get all 6 infinity stones, or where you have to buy 20 Harry Potter sets to get all the Chocolate Frog tiles.

Ha! Brilliant strategy 😂 Glad I could bring back some good memories

Who knows - we might need some more 'R' store Bricklink content in the future :) The magnifying glass effect was such a cool happy accident!
This was one of my first sets I remember building by myself. Made such a small set go a long way. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Ah, good times! Love this little set too. I can see why you remember it fondly!
This was the first set I ever got. Videos of yours like this really take me back, thanks.
What a great one to start out with, too! Glad you enjoyed.
Great job, nice looking set. I wish lego would bring this theme back. They could do so many places, from around the world.
It would be so cool to see Adventurers again. I'd love to see what they could do with the minifigures these days especially. We've gotta a sweet taste with some of the CMFs, but imagine a whole cast of them...
Nah, they should cancel all sets and only do Star Wars. Plus they should restock sets from leaving Denmark it stays with us locals

Try TrikBrix channel, he adds a whole new level to a review.

Soooo epic - crazy to think a new floppy armed skeleton is worth at least that much on its own now!
This little set is so neat. I love the mini builds
Indeed. Adventurers did small sets right!

That's awesome! Those Dino sets were wild. I'd love to get one of those someday.
This has so many cool pieces! Great review!
Thank you! This set is just too good. Excluding minifigs, I quick counted 7 unique prints - it's insane
@@CheeseyStudios I know! So many things for such a great price!

I love that - LEGO archeology! It's quite a joy finding the clues like that amd figuring out what sets might all be there
What a treat to get a new video from you! Fantastic review and a great little set, i completely missed this theme growing up!
Thank you! I'm so glad we have so many ways to be able to get these sets now at least (even if it's ridiculously expensive haha)
Wow looks super cool! I love all of the accessories!
I wish they made sets like this today - the part selection here is just unmatched by anything currently for sale
Another excellent review! Love your content, love this set 🙌
Thank you! I do wish we'd get an Adventurers reboot again. These small sets were the bomb

They were pretty sweet. Love that you can fit a good amount of stuff in and on then!
Great video! Love the review

First LEGO set, at? That's awesome! This is such a good one to start your LEGO journey with. It's got everything you need, and looks good doing it!
I miss these with original lego characters
Yeah... LEGO's own themes were the best!

That would have made for a great subtheme. LEGO's never done a proper Roman/Greek theme, and I feel there's a lot of potential there
Fun little set. I’ve got mine in a display case with the other adventurers jungle sets! Are you looking to get 5976 next?
I sure hope so! Do you have that one?
one of the first sets i ever got was an adventurers set, one of my favourite themes of all time
It's so good! So iconic.
Omg i remember that set 😭😭😭 from when i was sooo little
Another set I had in my childhood.
Very nice! This one was gold for its size

I wholeheartedly agree. Modern sets are beautiful, but lack the charm and imagination of these simpler times.
While you spun the girl, it showed your Logo in her magnifying glass at some points.
I thought that looked pretty epic 😂
I remember playing with this set and getting afraid of the adventures I was having with it.
Spiders are spooky 👀

Adventurers sets were just so good. Would love to see a reboot!
OMG I remember I got this for my 7th birthday! So cool to see it again
This is such a banger of a set. What a great birthday present! Do you still have it?

I bet there's a lot of treasures buried away in there xD
Simple Set, but actually this is great set.... i like it so much
I know, right? It's perfect!
I had this set as a kid! I might just have to track it back down.
This set is just so perfect - so much bang for your buck.
I got this set at Walmart when I was 11yrs old back in 1999
You have a good memory!
I use to reenact the mummy with this set 😳😂
That's epic xD
Floppy arm skeletons are the best ones
Yesssssss
This is so well done
❤
If you want, you are in your way to a LEGO designer.

Small nitpick but it's pronounced "senjor". Look up the pronounciation if you wish for a more detailed description. Good video.
Appreciate the correction - that's probably why I should have taken Spanish instead of Latin in high school 🤣
