Lego needs to make more little sets like these again. Functional, reasonably sized vehicle, overloaded with goodies that just spark the imagination of the adventures they could be used on. Maybe a $10-20 price range would be good for modern times.
I came to conclusion seeing this video and few others back in a day the only reason why I bought polibags or small box sets for dirt cheap because of the cool stuff it came with, then either use the minifig for a custom repaint or just trade it later on, today I sure as hell wont pay 10 euros for a collectible minifig gambling nonsense that often comes with NOTHING especially the resellers prices of 30 euros +. Even bigger sets barely have anything worth a while and the design is crap on top of it all the prices don't help. Where I live LEGO is not even offered in stores so yeah the online prices are strait up insane. Even if they are dollar each I have zero reason to buy them anyway. Give me clutter pieces like ages ago or gtfo. Hence why I only buy bulk of used LEGO lots but even then I pray to find useful stuff since lately I seen many take out minifigs and accessories so as rare pieces then list them separately for crazy prices. Idk how they manage to make 1000 listings per person, I cant follow up as a buyer let alone imagine doing that as a seller AND then repeat the process when it doesn't sell and since it doesn't sell more then it does they waste months years etc on these things ... these people literally have no life.
7419: Dragon Fortress has been a dream set of mine for a long time, even before I found how out how awesome Adventurers was. Hopefully one day! I'm just missing a few pieces to 7417: Temple of Mount Everest, so that will show up here eventually!
My favourite small set was from the dino island sub branch, it was the hydrofoil. It was one of my first sets i got and i really liked the minifigure as a kid. I also remember that there was a mini comic book with it.

Yeah, same here. There's so few left! The shelves are dominated with licensed products now. I love Harry Potter, don't get me wrong, but there's something really special and truly creative about LEGO's own in-house themes. Just look at the amazing things they've done with Ninjago!
This set is so rad, I think it’s my favorite of the cheap adventures sets. I love River Expedition from the jungle line but this is almost as good for a fraction of the price
The price point for this set is crazy. There's literally nothing like this today (except strangely maybe in the Minecraft line which has surprisingly great $10 sets, but obviously the detail just isn't there)
I got this set around the time I saw The African Queen for the first time. Johnny Thunder just had to accept a face transplant and becoming Humphrey Bogart.
Not kidding, I would get that if it was a lot bigger because i love the details and if it were bigger i think it would look super cool. Wouldn't you agree?

I don't think I'd ever seen this one before! For $3 back in the day, that's pretty much perfect. Was not expecting it to include the pteranodon!
