Celebrex 400mg was extensively prescribed in Australia when it hit the market, then was taken off because of the risk of heart problems, now only Celebrex 200mg is still available. I have endured eleven back operations, plus shoulder reconstruction and other surgeries brought on from an auto accident, also have arthritis in quite a few areas. I take the 200 mg around 4 to 5 days a week to help with the inflammation as it is the only anti inflammatory product that doesn't give me chronic heart burn, and no other side effects. Thank you for your great content.
maybe the solution is to have an NSAID that is biased for cox-2 inhibition but still has a significant amount of cox-1 inhibited at the same time to possibly counteract the blood clotting effect seen when only cox-2 is inhibited.
Can you talk about Prions, specifically ones that are dangerously spreading among deer as Chronic Wasting Disease, and that scientists are worried might spread to humans in the future?
Drug prescriptions treat the symptoms and rarely, if ever, the cause. Remember, healthcare is primarily Sick-care. Start with nutrition. Avoid refined sugars, processed foods, and vegetable/seed oils. May you stay healthy and safe.
Yeah. I'd like a complete breakdown on mirtazapine/remeron, and explain why it makes people sleepy, and why the lower doses do it but the higher ones not soo much. And answer the question question I have that is, does it however, inhibit REM sleep?
Can you do a video about the nuclear structure? As in the shells and magic numbers so to speak. I believe the nucleus is structured in a way similar to how the electron orbitals are structured, in that they are probability areas. But that is really all i know. Im a normal chemistry major now, but have plans to go to grad school for nuclear chemistry. I like the physics side of chemistry a lot. Nuclear, quantum, theoretical chemistry are my main areas of interest.
@@ProfessorDaveExplains ive checked your video. I like it. Nice explanation. I do have another question. Now there is a strong nuclear force that holds protons and neutrons together in the nucleus? What is doing the holding. How can we hold these particles together? What is the particle behind the strong force?
they're called gluons, check my tutorial on quantum chromodynamics it explains it a little bit, but i hope to do extensive content on particle physics later
@@ProfessorDaveExplains so we have gluons that connect protons together. But electromagnetic repulsion still exists and gradually overpowers the nucleus as it gets larger. So how does the nucleus orient itself to minimize the electromagnetic repulsion.
This stuff for me was absolutely garbage! Made my pain 10X worse, caused horrible insomnia, caused absolutely horrible dizziness and vertigo, caused a rash on my chest, caused my gums to get swollen. Absolutely trash! Will never have a single good thing to say about it.

Please make Videos on Corticosteroids, Antihypertensive and Anti-diabetic drugs. Love the details you put in your videos.
Please make more pharm videos! These are great!!
More coming soon!
love it here!
I got hard heart burn ended up in ER. Never gave I felt this in my life. I would rather have back pain
Five years of celebrax use helped me with arthritic pain but has caused bleeding gums and severe mouth allergies.
Have u also experienced eye pain and feeling of tooth crawling?..
Would love to see more of these videos! You're a great teacher!
Yay, you've gotten me through basically half of my classes haha. Now I'm in pharmacology!

Would you consider a series on antidepressants?
I second this.
Would be a rather long series I would guess, so many approaches these days.

Better perhaps is to evaluate one’s nutrition and lifestyle.

Kinase inhibitors next? Or Inhibition of epigenetic moderators (Methyltransferase, HDACs, an so on)?
What if you took low dose aspirin alongside Celebrex to reduce the risk of clotting?
Could you do a video on glyphosate (roundup), does the chemical structure look like a human neurotransmitter? GABA?
good information, thank you

thank youu
