  • The Philippines and Australia have discussed pursuing joint patrols in the South China Sea. Trillions of dollars in trade pass through the disputed waterway each year. The region is home to a wealth of natural resources and fisheries. Parts of it are claimed by the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and Taiwan. China, though, claims almost the entire South China Sea. The Philippines has been ramping up attempts to counter what it sees as Beijing's increasing aggressiveness in the waters.

How the Chinese Communist Party lose the Philippines is absolutely astounding!
Japan, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines are obviously not with the Commies.
Trade is nothing without the necessary Security.
It goes to show the absolute necessity of the US as the offshore balancer, the anchor of Peace in the Indo-Pacific region.
Japan needs to step up and be counted.
    1. Change its pacifist constitution to that of a normal state.
    2. Increase its defence spending to a minimum of 3% of GDP.
    3. Pay and Play its role as an important power in the region and the 3rd biggest economy in the world.
    4. Disburse grants, aids and military technologies to the rest of the above-mentioned nations.
    5. Consider the nuclear deterrence option.
The Indo-Pacific region should be thankful to the United States of America for Pax-Americana, including Communist China.
    Long Live Pax-Americana!

      @@spider6660You meant monetary
      expansion policy????
You sentence does not make sense!
Japan has already cmitted to doubled their defence spending progressively.
They planned to do it within 5 years by increasing progressively from the current 1% of GDP to 2%.
      This is still too little.
They have to emulate the other Country with a pacifist constitution, Germany.
Germany has committed a one off
€100billion budget for defence upgrades and will increase their annual defence budget to 2% of GDP.
Japan's GDP was US $5trillion last year.
additional 2% and a one off US$100b spending on defence budget is well within Japan's ability.
Moreover, those spending will generate Jobs and economic returns when they export those equipments .
