Thanks for sharing your knowledge. You saved me 😌 some money by just cleaning out the hose ,I blew threw the hose and heard it open and close so it wasn't the switch. Afterwards I put it in small loads and it worked. Next I prayed and thanked Jesus 🙏 for you and it was fixed. Blessing and more blessings to you and your family in Jesus name Amen ❤️🙏
Thanks for the video tutorial. I just repaired my washer following your instructions. Took about 30 minutes. I love a repair that can be done with a wire hanger and a couple of zip ties.
This video really helped me out. I installed a new pressure switch for the customer and cleared out the hose, but it still overfilled on the Super setting. Zip tying the hose to the pressure switch and tub was the actual fix for me. Thanks!
OMG This was EXACTLY what I needed to see today! I have the same model, and it just dumped tens of gallons of water on my floors. I thought I was going to have to buy a new washer, but after watching this video I'm back up and running! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Subscribed.
Thank you sooo much!! I thought my washer was finished, it was dumping water everywhere. Turned out to be the hose was clogged! Can't thank you enough!!
Truly appreciate this information my man. OMG, you saved me not just money I didn't have but my relationship. I was no longer a hero in my wife's eyes, making me feel absolutely useless. As I looked up the model number and found your video this has truHly helped me. Gratitude pray you are truly blessed.
Thank you for posting this! All of a sudden my washing machine started overflowing and I was about to install a new one and found your video. The hose was stopped up really bad! Cleaned it out and it fixed the over fill. Thanks.
Like all the rest of the ppl thanks very much. My initial problem was it wasn't spinning so I found a video about that and I fixed that problem but the next day it over filled and I guess I didn't clean the tube enough so it over filled. I found your video and it explained just that. Thanks
Mannnnnn yours was the first video that popped up! And this is like the 5th time it’s overflowed in the past 2 years then last night it just wasn’t stoping. Thanks brotha for the really easy fix !!!
I just fixed mine, but the problem was a little further in. The hose was clear, and I tested the pressure switch with a multimeter by blowing into the hose and reading the contacts with an ohmmeter. It was also good. I opened the timing/control module and noticed that one of the contact 'fingers' was lower than the others. It was the one that was connected to the common wire of the pressure switch. I bent it up a bit so it would make contact with the timing gear/wheel and now everything works. But I did notice that the contacts for only that particular finger were slightly burnt from arcing. I suspect this was caused by changing the load size while the washer is running. Going to order a new module and tell everyone to only change the load size before starting the machine. This is a 20+yr old machine, and the only problem I've ever had until now was the drain pump getting clogged with cottony mush from washing too many loads of brand-new wash cloths. Someone in the house cleans houses for a living and goes through a ton of wash cloths in a year. Can't fault the machine for that.
@@DIYRepairsNow Oops, it worked a couple of times and then failed again. Assuming the next step is to replace the switch, do you have a video on that???
Omg thank you so much for the video!! I have the exact model and I had already had someone replace the electrical part of it and then it started again! This video not only worked but also saved me money! As a mom with 5 kiddos laundry piles quick; your instructions were so clear and easy to follow I did it myself!
Today September 28 2022 thank to you I fix my 2 G E washer they have the same problem clean the plastic tube and the top one was disconnected thanks again
Dude thanks! I have an even older model but this at least gives me a starting point if it's not the same but I'm betting it's close enough. Thanks again
I just did a repair on a Kenmore that was flooding because the solenoids would not shut off and it wasn't the fault of the pressure switch. The pressure switch worked perfectly I could blow into it and the washer agitator would start agitating but the water switches would still never shut off. The problem was in the timer. The pressure switch plugs into the timer and tells the timer that the water is full but the timer is where the solenoids get their voltage from to open. I got a used timer on Ebay for $99, and the washer is now working perfectly. Had I replaced the pressure switch I would still have a broken machine. I tested the pressure switch independently and there are three wires ... Left and middle is normally open closing under pressure, and right and middle is normally closed opening under pressure. The pressure switch is usually the culprit but in my case with the Kenmore, more testing showed it was the timer at fault.
This washer is probably like 13-18 years old now. Does it still work?. These older washers last much longer than the new ones. You are lucky to get 10 years out of the new washers.
How do you clean the air dome? My washer was overflowing & it was not the tube, it was the tub itself. I poured hot water 💧 down the tube into the dome the added some vinegar to the dome with a 5ml syringe 💉 and also unraveled a 📎 to slide it into the small dome opening. Seems to be working fine now.
I am the champion of the world. You saved me a thousand bucks when my wife wanted a new washer when this”broke”. Fixed it like a pro. Thanks.
Now your wife is going to hate me because she’s not getting a new washer😂😂😂
You’re welcome thanks for watching my video💯💯👍🏻👍🏻
