We had to add a trip on the Sunflower Kurenai from Osaka to Beppu thanks to you. Hearing the song in person made the trip even better and we did the glowstick goodbye to the crew upon departure as well. So fun! We were the only Americans on the ferry that trip and the crew were so surprised when we asked if they were going to play the song. Thank you for sharing your videos and experiences! It helped us curate our personalized trip to Japan and we had so much fun!

Recently I took the Shimmoji to Kobe Hankyu ferry with my small car. I did considered this Sunflower Oita to Kobe route but price-wise Hankyu beat Sunflower big time. My accommodation was Japanese room with WC.

I love Japan more than anything else, Im just connected eternaly to Japan. I found your videos a way of quenching my thirst to visit Japan. Last two years I was too busy. I faced and had to take many major decisions that would decide the fate of my life, so I didnt have much time to see your videos. Lots changed since then. I found your sub channel and just subscribed to it. You started posting videos a lot more frequent. Today Ive completed everything there was to complete for me and now im here again to relax myself. I took the sunflower ferry from Tomakomai to ōarai in November last year and even if I was looking forward to, in all of the 18+ h, I did not hear the sunflower-song once. 😢 Thank you for bringing it back. 😅 And the food, I miss it so much. Japanese food is simply the best. Greetings from Germany!

I never thought I would ever watch anything like this, but I look forward to it every week now. We spent two weeks in Japan on holiday once years ago, and I regret now that we never took a single ferry. It would have been fun and also probably saved money. And if there's ever a food Olympics, I look forward to seeing you win a gold medal for Japan. 😄

Thanks for the content. I will visit Oita for the first time in December 2024. We will be flying though. I think a lot of people are fine with the small, standard room to sleep in. You can always hang out outside in the spacious lounges and other areas of a ferry.

Its lovely for this broke AF American(okay I've owned horses for over 20 years that's my problem) to get to see all the cool places you go to, and since I love trains and water, Japan seems like a great place to hopefully someday visit. 2 weeks ago I travelled Osaka - Beppu on the mighty Sunflower Murasaki - I think my 5th Sunflower trip. What a wonderful vessel she is - less than a year old, beautifully decorated, and the live Dixieland jazz band as the evening performance was just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. The superior single cabin was great - proper shower bathroom and comfortable bed. I was also confused with the soundtrack - but it seems they play 3 or 4 other songs before repeating "Sunflower". I think it is to stop guests jumping overboard 😉
At first I was sad...what no...then it came...all together now Sunflower, sunflower! 🌻🌻 Shame about the cabin and it's small furniture trying to make the room look bigger. I always look forward to your videos, thank you.

2 weeks ago I travelled Osaka - Beppu on the mighty Sunflower Murasaki - I think my 5th Sunflower trip. What a wonderful vessel she is - less than a year old, beautifully decorated, and the live Dixieland jazz band as the evening performance was just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
The superior single cabin was great - proper shower bathroom and comfortable bed. I was also confused with the soundtrack - but it seems they play 3 or 4 other songs before repeating "Sunflower". I think it is to stop guests jumping overboard 😉
At first I was sad...what no...then it came...all together now Sunflower, sunflower! 🌻🌻
Shame about the cabin and it's small furniture trying to make the room look bigger. I always look forward to your videos, thank you.
