I would say reverb is my favorite pedal. It's hard to find a bad reverb, it lends itself to every type of music. When I was a kid,my father took me to a store to buy my first electric and they had plugged me into a big amp with,I think reverb turned on and I thought to myself, wow, this sounds like the guitars on the radio. Ever since then, I've had a love affair with reverb. The pedal as well as your playing sounded good.
I am one of those people who has a certain chain that I never turn off: Keeley compressor, BE-OD distortion, EP-Preamp, the echo part of the Dark Side work-station pedal (very Echorec-like), Hall of Fame II reverb. That is my core sound. Sometimes I fool around with the great reverb effects on the Hall of Fame, but otherwise I keep my basic settings as if etched in stone. So, to answer your question, I require both echo and 'verb.
have been looking for a nice reverb for a while now. will probably pull the trigger on this one. i also like that it hs the ins and outs on the tops instead of the sides
I've been using a TC Ele shimmer pedal for a while now on my acoustic rig. It really does a nice job at "filling in the holes" when used more sparingly. When used heavily, well..., how can you not like that "organ trail" sound? As a "2nd" guitar in our mix (set at about 2/3rds wet), my chorded rhythms behind a lead really fill the sound out nicely. It is a nice effect that you wouldn't want to use all the time, but it can be subtle or pronounced. I suggest it for everyone's toolbox. This FoxGear pedal sounds beautiful and seems to have a few nice "Bells and Whistles" to get a truly unique sound.
Damn, Damn, DAAAUUYYUUHM!!!! That was AMAZING!! What a gorgeous sound coming out of just 1 pedal. Have you thought of scoring a "straight-to-video" sci fi flick with that thing??? I bought all my first pedals (delay, chorus, distortion) based on your reviews and looks like I'm going to be buying my first $100 pedal after watching this. This is going on my shopping list!! Great Vid dude!!!
Love this channel. Love these videos. Thanks very much. Might dip a toe in and get one of the 99 buck pedals to start. Love the sound of the unicorn vibe. Fav pedal ever is boss ph3 phase shifter. Love that pedal.
While delay and reverb can sometimes produce similar sounds, they really play different roles. Delay produces an echo effect whereas reverb produces a broader reflective ambiance.
I thought I heard your guitar's sustainiac feature in there with the reverb/delay effects pedals. I'm a reverb and delay user. I do not have a guitar with the sustainiac feature to it as of yet, but I'm checking out which guitar with those features to purchase next. I am gonna buy an ElectroHarmonix Oceans 11 or 12 or both and I already have an EarthQuaker Devices Astral Destiny Reverb on order when I came across your video of the FoxGear Rainbow Reverb Pedal. I bought a JoYo Atmospheres Effects Pedal. I have a Schecter Omen Elite 6 FR that has been on backorder for 8 months man, so if that order falls through then I'm gonna go ahead and get the Schecter Sustainiac . I liked theFoxGear Rainbow Reverb Effects Pedal best along with your guitar, amp and seriously GR8T Musicology/Skills ! ! ! Flying planes are liken unto an infinite Sustainiac mode while up skywards ! ! !👍😎 Peace, Be Safe, Happy, Prosperous, Healthy & Play 🎸 On FretBro . . . 👍😎🎸🤘🙏 DDH 5-31-2021.
Off Topic, but Max I have to say, THANK YOU for introducing Harley-Benton Guitars to your fans & the playing public. In short, YES I'm buying one, a 'Strat' Style in White w/ Gold Hardware -- I CAN'T pass on the selling price (even with that shipping charge, yikes.. oh well). In fact I 'may' buy another ST style too a little later on, it has an Ash Body & Clear finish and is stunning. So THANKS again, and Rock On! :-)
Kind of reminds of my meris Mercury 7, which was based on the same rack reverb unit used in the original blade runner as well as a bunch of other movies. I love the Mercury 7 and use it as a production too for just about anything because it is so versatile and in a way an instrument on its own. This pedal is pretty rad especially for the price point.
the rainbow pedal does sound good, only issue I have with this pedal is that in order to shut off the power completely to it you'd litterly have to unplug it if on a pedal board without a main power off switch or it will stay lit, other than that it's a good pedal
I’m partial to the electro harmonic Cathedral pedal but so many of the reverb pedals sound nearly identical. I feel like reverb might be one of the harder pedals to create a distinct sound with but maybe I personally just have a hard time telling the difference.
Hey man i watched a few of ur Videos nice work!! I have one question: What Reverb can you recommend in a price 70-150? I play a DSL 40cr. I like to gently dial in a good room sound that makes Distortion bigger, and maybe an good quality ambient sound, i want that for Intros etc......Been looking for rv6 or a hof2. The Hof2 seems liken it lacks quality tonewise. Also there is the foxgear rainbow only very few details on the internet. What is your opinion of the two for my rig, and what would you take? THX greetings From Austria, keep up that good work!!;)
Great video as always, thanks. I need a very quiet verb pedal for "set and forget" use - my newest amp has no verb. How does this one do on that front?
This just might offer the kicker in getting the "Black Hole Sun" tone I'm chasing. Using rotary pedal in addition to this with rotary verb and delay as well oughta get me there. Also having shimmer in the same box is great for my usual middle of chord lead phrasing. And one more also, that church is one I would attend and even worth the collection plate guilt trip! 😆
I loved the reverb pedal! And not very expensive for the sounds it can produce. I use both delay and reverb and I need them both. It depends on the sound I am after.
Cool pedal. Even cooler guitar, especially at that price. The Sustainiac is kind of a ringer, tho--using that pickup+FRose+reverb makes you feel like your going into a black hole. Without the Sustainiac (or the similar Fernandes Sustainer, like I have in my Ed O'Brien Strat), it would be a little harder to lose your mind.
Does it worry u all the new guitar I get and amps .doing unboxings. With the virus going around. I got a guitar weeks a go haven't touched it .how could I even disinfect it.
I only use reverb mostly as a slight coloration of the tone, same with delays or chorus pedals. Whale sounds are fine, but you're just not going to be using that or the trails from it in every song. I would have liked to hear just a coloration of the tone to see how that sounded.
Spring reverb has it's own character. I have a cheapo delay pedal, but you can't reproduce proper reverb with it. Nice slapback type sound with it though. I'm amazed by how good some cheapo pedals are now. Admittedly, that reverb pedal in the review is on an other level. Ta.
That's why you turn it up and ignore her, i always laugh when i read comments about mens wives and how they have them on a leash and control every choice lmao. Tell her to suck it up. Never let a woman have your balls, wear the pants. You want to relax after a hard day by playing loudly, crank that shit up. Some woman are just insufferable, the less she sees that you're the sorta man who bends over every second at her every whim, the more respect she'll have for you. Doesn't like you playing? Oh wel. If she stops fun time for ya because you put her in a bad mood by not giving into her micro managing demands every day, what are you doin with a lady like that? Rock on brother!
Depends classic rock warm fussy spring reverb is awesome. But acoustic intro nice slap back of delay is cool so idk can't really say i like one over the other
And the whale would be like "hay I'm a whale". Max you are hilarious man, that reverb pedal is what my ibanez jemini cost well did when I bought it second hand. I don't think it's that expensive for what you get, very reasonable. Stay safe pal, keep shredding. 👍
If you keep this up Max, you'll be the paying like the legendary surf guitarist Mark Kuhn of Voodoo Court. That is some seriously great reverb. Metal is cool but modern surf is way cooler and more diverse.
Max, since you dropped more than a Benjamin on a pedal, can we all assume that you "broke the budget", and you'll make up for it by showing us a low budget DIY/kit pedal assembly?
I would say reverb is my favorite pedal. It's hard to find a bad reverb, it lends itself to every type of music. So close to 100K Max. Keep up the great content!
Dude the crazy noises you can pull out if this this is soooo entertaining
I am one of those people who has a certain chain that I never turn off: Keeley compressor, BE-OD distortion, EP-Preamp, the echo part of the Dark Side work-station pedal (very Echorec-like), Hall of Fame II reverb. So, to answer your question, I require both echo and 'verb.
Some crazy killer Pink Floyd like tones! Great playing and a great demo Max.
I love reverb and delay used in conjunction the earthquaker devices avalanche run with an expression pedal is a good one to try
have been looking for a nice reverb for a while now. will probably pull the trigger on this one. i also like that it hs the ins and outs on the tops instead of the sides
Holy shit I need this reverb pedal. This literally is the reverb I've been looking for. I was between keeley caverns and eventide space. Love this.
I love making whale noises.

This FoxGear pedal sounds beautiful and seems to have a few nice "Bells and Whistles" to get a truly unique sound.
A Synthverb. Sounds like this could be used for movie sound effects.
Dude wow those reverb are no joke man haha I love the rainbow!
Damn, Damn, DAAAUUYYUUHM!!!! That was AMAZING!! What a gorgeous sound coming out of just 1 pedal. Have you thought of scoring a "straight-to-video" sci fi flick with that thing??? Lmao. This is how reverb is supposed to be. The Sounds, they blend so perfectly
The ambient post rock possibilities.......I just might get this
The voyage home? How did i miss that one?
Ahhh space inside that rainbow echoes like a cavern of pure gold
Love this channel. Love these videos. Thanks very much. Might dip a toe in and get one of the 99 buck pedals to start. Love the sound of the unicorn vibe. Fav pedal ever is boss ph3 phase shifter. Love that pedal.
While delay and reverb can sometimes produce similar sounds, they really play different roles. Delay produces an echo effect whereas reverb produces a broader reflective ambiance.
I bought one based on this video and a couple of others and it sounds amazing!! It's great for ambient type stuff
I Love your Videos. Your Guitar looks awesome .
What Model is this ?
The verb is nice but the guitar is the icing on the cake.
I thought I heard your guitar's sustainiac feature in there with the reverb/delay effects pedals. I'm a reverb and delay user. The sustainiac harmonics blow my mind
This guitar is amazing.
Delay and reverb are awesome, and both are nice with chorus.
Love my overdrive pedal, but i Like all these sounds.
Those are just cool. Love it. Thanks Max.
Foxgear is pretty cool, I love their Synister Distortion pedal. And +5 for the Star Trek IV reference, lol!
I don't know about your tastes in reverbs but you were definitely my favorite Misfits singer/writer.
Off Topic, but Max I have to say, THANK YOU for introducing Harley-Benton Guitars to your fans & the playing public. You're welcome!

That reverb is divine!
You should do one on the Joyo Atmosphere! There just aren’t any demos that do them as well as you.
Ordered one off Reverb. You sold me on it LOL
When budget is of no concern the echo fix EF - X2 (Roland RE 201 space echo clone) with added features is amazing also
Terrific video again! Would I be correct in saying that the Rainbow Reverb mix goes 100% wet?
Amazing tones and definitely digging that guitar.
the rainbow pedal does sound good, only issue I have with this pedal is that in order to shut off the power completely to it you'd litterly have to unplug it if on a pedal board without a main power off switch or it will stay lit, other than that it's a good pedal

Great reverb. I gotta get 1. Love the schecter btw.
It is a little pricey. But worth every penny that ambience is amazing
11:55 happens to me all the time. The stuff kicks in the hardest after I put down the guitar for the night.

Cool!! Sounds great! Btw can you do a video about your top ten favorite metal bands? 😁
YES to all! Pretty cool sounds! Whaaat, no dragon reference!!??
Great video as always, thanks. I need a very quiet verb pedal for "set and forget" use - my newest amp has no verb. How does this one do on that front?
Great job Max!!
Are you using the Sustainiac pickup with these? They're really cool!
OOOOOF that intonation my guy
Very nice! Thanks a lot
That Rainbow has some great modes! Great playing Max, thanks for letting me check these out.
Great demo!

you might want to mention you are also using a sustainiac
-5 points.
I like this video. More pedal videos.
I like the reverb pedal sounds crazy. Need to save up and get me one.
FOXGEAR-RAINBOW and ECHOSEX baby are great pedals. On the RAINBOW the church setting is amazing.
How do I get Sweetwater to supply fox gear?? 😪 Josh Strid, where ya at, my man
Yes to all max.
Great video, my pockets are empty due to lack of work so this will have to wait...

Yo! Im about to buy this....does this compare in any way with the shimmer on the dd-200 by boss??
Sounding a bit Blackmoreish on the Spring reverb. Sweet!
How about reviewing this gadget : Wireless Guitar System Transmitter & Receiver
Does it worry u all the new guitar I get and amps .doing unboxings. With the virus going around. I got a guitar weeks a go haven't touched it .how could I even disinfect it.
Good demo i liked those sounds good🤙
Dear Max, know I appreciate your demos. I am going to pick up one of those reverbs. I do not reach out enough and provide you with positive feedback.
The delay is cool to a point but seems the reverb holds a truer sound longer where the delay is like a bing bing bing that slowly fades
I only use reverb mostly as a slight coloration of the tone, same with delays or chorus pedals. Whale sounds are fine, but you're just not going to be using that or the trails from it in every song. I would have liked to hear just a coloration of the tone to see how that sounded.
Sounds amazing.
I use both, more delay than reverb, but the reverb just adds a little body and atmosphere to the leads.

Admittedly, that reverb pedal in the review is on an other level.
Ta.
More things my wife will complain about me buying during lockdown....
🤣🤣
Well whats more important?
Oh, what IS that sound I hear?
Oh I know, it's the cracking of WHIPS!
That's why you turn it up and ignore her, i always laugh when i read comments about mens wives and how they have them on a leash and control every choice lmao. Tell her to suck it up. My stomach makes awkward whale noises when its quiet.
Green Ranger will always be my favorite, love ya Tommy! Hehe just kidding bud, keep rocking the faith 🤙
I forgot how good reverb sounded like. Especially on single notes.
Pilots and architects drive Saabs. Sweden, please make Saabs again.
Does this do drip reverb too?
You need to try the Boss RV_6
And the whale would be like "hay I'm a whale". Max you are hilarious man, that reverb pedal is what my ibanez jemini cost well did when I bought it second hand. I don't think it's that expensive for what you get, very reasonable. Stay safe pal, keep shredding. 👍
1:48 Smooooooth.
Nice

I am subscribed
At a certain point that wall will not be able to hold any more guitars.
A whale would say; "Dude, ya' know what you just said? You might want to get outa here".
I assume you could also play I'm the Walrus with that pedal...😉😉
Whoa, air raid sirens
reverbated delay, mr. floyd, i require it
Mr. Black Eterna Gold: "Am I a joke to you?"
Yes.
Max, since you dropped more than a Benjamin on a pedal, can we all assume that you "broke the budget", and you'll make up for it by showing us a low budget DIY/kit pedal assembly?
This guy looks like Cisco from The CW show “The Flash” 😎😎
Bro that's Glenn Danzig
The sounds of Heaven
Nobody: The whale:I'm a whale
Now. Scotty!
Sounds like a clone of the Roland space echo
:53 seconds in.....wow, nice.
Testing reverb with an active substainiac pick up! I feel that's cheating.... LMAO I need to get a schecter now ...🎅
You have your fernandes sustainer on , on that whale sound. Not the sound most people can make.
Whale noises 😂😂😂
Beautiful. These pedals have just eliminated the need for adding a keyboardist to fill out the sound more.
remember he is also using a sustainiac so he has unlimited sustained notes
