  • It's possible to develop the knight to d7 in the Dragon Sicilian, but I would only recommend doing so prior to castling short and in conjunction with a quick ...a7-a6 and ...b7-b5, aka the "Dragadorf." Here Black experiences some opening problems because of their setup, but my opponent recovers and even obtains a decent middlegame position.

    Interestingly, the latest Stockfish gives about +0.50 to 26. Bf1 in the position at 35:50.

    English question: why does Fins always say: ".. *they* can..." .. isn't "they" a plural - but in most cases the opponent will only be one I guess.

      Cacalari Bus "They" is a common way to refer to someone when you don't know his/her gender.
