RAD Power Bikes are easily the best E Bikes on the planet! As a bike mechanic with 20 plus years of experience I can say this because I have seen years of development from multiple companies. RAD is one of the few bike companies dedicated to only making EBikes. They do not get distracted by making regular bikes. They have the best control units that are simple to navigate the menus, select the power and support the level of assitance desired and diagnose issues. They are a robust construction so they do not brake if the bike falls over. The batteries are long lasting and charge quickly. The hub motors are weather resistant but simple enough for a skilled mechanic to work on. Maintaining the bike, in particular the power drive wheel, is important for a long life. The torque of the motor can over time make the spokes in the wheel twist loose. The wheel needs to be true and maintained about once a year to ensure long life. Some of the models they make will wirelessly communicate with a phone or pad to let you change settings or diagnose any sort of issue you may be having with the power assistance.
I disagree. I would put my hand built ebike against ANY. Ruff-Cycles Basman frame, tank, fenders, wheels, etc. Bafang BBSHD w/3000w Ludicrous controller, dual 15ah 52v battery packs in parallel, front/ rear bluetooth "dashcams", motorcycle alarm, 50mph top speed on flats, 100mi range............$2000 TOTAL................................................................................................................................................?
@@dougfurr5217 You did say some key words. Hand built. Rad make great bikes for the average rider who does not work on their own bike. Far better thought out and built than most of what you find online from China mail order. The past few years they have focused on the frame engineering far more as well. Making it so the whole thing is not a giant tank and particular models can actually be lofted up some stairs.
I'm not sure about the best but they are a nice bike. I am still waiting on my first two ebikes from Bolton ebikes. They did a nice review on the Rad but they are putting better up grades on there bike as standard equipment. They even make power up grades for the Rad Rovers
they are easily the worst ebikes on the planet, and please make sure you tell us what shop you work for, because we need to avoid you at all costs, as youve got to be terrible to consider this anything remotely close to a decent ebike. seriously, have you ever been certified to repair bikes, let alone ebikes ??? This thing is a chinese clone, where Rad does no engineering, no design, and just buys from the cheapest asian factory they can find. They buy this POS at about $550, and mark it up nearly 300%. Their controls aren't worth crap, as they are aftermarket quality, like you would get in a cheap $200 aftermarket kit. This is not robust construction, as they are having weld failures left and right, especially at the a-pillar where the top tube connects with the seat post. its atrocious actually. Rad just had a massive organizational shake up, as their warranty claims have been thru the roof, and despite selling a lot of ebikes during the pandemic, they are getting killed on costs, mismanagement out the ying yang, and are really struggling to get their act together. they should have been firing on all cylinders by now, but only 2 of 8 cylinders are working in this combustible beast of a young company. their ceo is a snot nosed yungin' and caught up in his own fame.
Great video! I'm 68; just out of a 3 way Bypass; and I need to start getting some cardio and body exercise. As soon as I get a release from my surgeon, this seems to be the route for me to take. I wish I lived in a more bike-friendly city. Thanks for the video.
My second comment (hey, good for your algorithm right! Lol) I've got a seriously bad back and I'm ten years senior to you and have to face some realities (too many heavy sessions at the squat rack starting at 19 yrs old). So I sold my sweet Specialized Chisel and bought myself a Radrunner. Man I love that thing! I just ran out last night and grabbed some ice cream for my wife and I. Faster and easier than getting in any of our vehicles. Dropped the ice cream in the console that I added last week. Piece of cake! My back? I make it a point to lift my butt off the saddle when I see a big bump coming. Heck, even for fun, I will just stand up on the pedals for long stretches because it's just so much fun! My wife tried my Radrunner and was instantly hooked. I hope she's not reading this because I ordered her one for Christmas. Will be a blast to ride with her.
@@mwood65 yes, I believe so. However, another option would be to consider the Radrunner Plus, or any of the other models that have suspension. The sales reps at RadPower are pretty good.
Be gentle with it. My kid used it for manily street riding breaks down more then works, waiting again for parts from radrover and per normal on back order faulty mode switch this time.
Excellent video. Everything you said was spot on. I've had my Radrover 5 since Oct 2018 and I love it. I take care of it - I ride it hard - ~5,000 miles on it now. It's my primary mode of transportation year round here in Boise. Lots of great bike trails out here too - the Rover never lets me down.
Hi Joel. I need an E Bike. I have a question. I need to commute back and forth 10 miles a day. 20 days a month. 200 miles/month. How long would my battery last? to take full charge. And how much is a new battery? thank you for your attention.
@@flavionavarro9687 My experience has been about 25 to 30 miles per charge. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge up. I always travel with an extra battery in my saddle bags - usually don't need it but it's good 'peace of mind'. I figure it costs about 10 cents per night to keep it charged up.
TRP Hy/Rd hydraulic brakes are cable actuated, which makes them a simple and relatively inexpensive upgrade. I used them to upgrade my bike and they are superb. Maybe not as good as full hydraulic, but a lot less expensive because they’ll work with your existing levers.
Awesome review. I have a RadCity and it is indeed an ideal commuter bike. I've had it for a year and have almost 3,000 miles on it. I am also 50 and having the e-bike makes riding a bike fun again.
That’s exactly it! Cycling is fun for me again because I no longer have to worry if I’m going to blow my back out cranking out a climb like has happened twice in recent years with my conventional mountain bikes. That’s awesome that you’ve put 3000 miles on your RadCity!
@@Thanny2000 No, there aren't any real signs of degradation yet. I routinely get about 25 miles on power level 5 which is as advertised. I charge it every other day since my commute is about 5 miles each way.
thank you for this excellent video i've watched so many times...that convinced me to get a Rad Rhino (EU Rover) ..i'm 56 , 5.8 ft, and nearly 220 lbs :-) ..sold my regular mtb last week and my rhino is on order. this bike is made for me...got a radrunner too .
Good review👍 have enjoyed my 2016 rad rover For hundreds of miles here on maui. Great customer service from Rad, enough that we bought 3 other bikes over time, rad city and 2 rad minis for our mainland travels. Little secret, if you love motorcycles you'll like fat tired ebikes with a throttle. Their stealthy under powered Mini bikes.
When I first got mine I rode it so much to where I was in pain. Couldn't ride it any longer. Ordered a suspension seatpost and a new seat and all is fine.
very good review , cool trails , and i can see that you really enjoy riding the bike. smiling all the way. i’ve been joggling a few brand’s now for a couple a week,s. your review convinced me , i purchased mine green machine yesterday , can,t wait , good job.
I own the red Rover five 2020 best bike I ever owned there's no comparison to any other eBay that I know of if you can afford one get one you will enjoy the ride 🇺🇸🇵🇷😊🖖🏼
Wow! Loved the vid. Watching you ride through the forest reminded me a bit of the speeder bike scenes in Return of the Jedi. I laughed too at watching the assembly with you wearing knee pads. Can totally relate due to age and multiple accumulated injuries. Can't wait to see the next powerbike videos you have in store for us. Take care
I’ve had those knee pads for 20 years or so. They were nice to have back when I was 30, but at 50, it’s the only way I can get down and get back up again without making noise. :)
Great video. Just received my radrover 5 in forest green yesterday. I assembled it today and it's ready to go for this weekend. I'm hoping this bike will get me back out there riding. I had a really bad wreck about 12 years ago on my mountain bike and I've never really got back into it. At 61 I think its time. Thanks for all the info.
I love my Rover - bought mine in Sept of 2019 and have since tricked it out a bit. I hit about 32mph on it now with peddle assist, and about 29mph with throttle since upgrading - but I can understand that speed is not for everyone so not needed for the fun factor, but if you just like speed and working on bikes/cars/trucks etc, then go for it.
It’s a great platform for mods, for sure. I want to keep it a legitimate Class 2 bike, so speed mods are a no-go for this bike. Other ebikes coming my way will already be capable of Class 3 performance but software nerfable to Class 2 without needing to modify anything. Thanks for watching!
This is the best Radrover 5 review I’ve watched. I really like the review on more challenging trails and look forward to future RR5 trail rides. I’ve taken my RR5 on trails with small to large rocky sections and wondering if this model is meant to tackle this type of trail. Subscribed.
Glad you enjoyed it! We’re getting hit with 5 days of heavy rain in a row, and they keep the mountain bike park closed until the trails dry out to prevent erosion, but as soon as I can, I’m going to make a video just riding singletrack with this bike. It’s about like driving an SUV on a Jeep trail at times, but it is quite capable and no more difficult to manage than any fat tire MTB on the more technical sections.
Good video for people looking at the RadRover 5. Purchased mine in early 2021 and very pleased. Adding a mirror to the left side handle bar is a necessity for on street riding! I ride in a very hilly section and the controls, shifting and geometry of this bike is very good. Mechanical breaks are good and you can upgrade to hydraulic brakes later if you want. I've been riding off-road motorcycles for 40 years so to me, this is a lightweight "motorcycle". The layout of the handlebars, seat position and geometry of the RadRover frame is the best fit for me as an old guy motorcycle rider. Bottom line, this bike is a blast.
Awesome review! I just bought a RadRover and two RadRunners. Should be here next week. After watching your video and especially the trail ride I can’t wait to get mine set up and get riding. I’m in snow country and look forward to some slide riding. Thanks for the review. You got me Psyched.
3rd comment - Man, I wish you my neighbor. We love our hunting here in Texas and my wife, friends, and I, love time spent at the range running our toys. In fact, I'm heading out tomorrow. Having an extreme level of fun with my Radrunner! I rode motorcycles for over 40 years, and my Radrunner hangs with them in the fun category. It's hard to explain why these are so fun, they just are!
It’s crazy that the last time I hunted, I had to fly to Montana. Spot and stalked a nice mulie with a muzzleloader. Made a video of that on my other channel (which you might also like): ruclips.net/video/2o_u9lvUWwE/видео.html
I have a green one order should get it in April, can't wait to get it. Very helpful video. Love the Green color. Plain on using it for hunting. Like to of seen you camera on the bike rig. By the way I am 71 and I know I will enjoy 750W motor. Well make riding more FUN

I enjoy my 2019 Rad, put a new controller and true 750 motor on it, and hydraulic brakes ,it will do an easy 30 mph now, I mostly use the throttle now to get around town, my next up grade will be a GoPro to film the fun.
Great review. Your content, especially while riding, is exceptional. But what really fascinates me is your camera work. I'm immersed in learning everything from a go-pro knock-off, Sony mirrorless, Moza gimbal, and the capabilities of my S20+ - along with a few other new hobbies while being unemployed in a COVID world. RUclips has been perfect for every new endeavor, especially with great content like yours.
Thank you for an excellent review, much appreciated… Love the green color, wish bike manufacturers would realize black and white is fine for photography but life’s to be lived in color.
Excellent in depth video, probably the best review if not infomercial I've seen to date, I steered clear of Rad when Bolton and Citizen Cycle exposed the 500Watt nominal Bafang motor labeled as a 750Watt. A TRUE 750 Watt nominal, will max 1,200 plus. Most owners don't care or are RADFANATICS, in my world this is Collusion. Almost bought the bike, and would by one with a true 750Watt motor. Bolton video easy to find, if anyone would like to comment. Liked, (more than) commented and subbed. Do you do other reviews? First time here.
I talk about the motor issue in the video. The thing to keep in mind is that the Rad-optimized motor is capable of delivering 750W steady power and 80nm of steady torque, same as a standard 750W motor. Its peak is also 750W, which is less than most other 750W motors, but they aren’t capable of *sustaining* more than 750W. There is no apples to oranges nomenclature for this. Both are capable of continuous operation at the same maximum 750W. One is capable of a higher peak, but that peak is not 750W, so why is the label “750W” more applicable to one motor versus the other? It’s just the wrong way to talk about motors in the first place. The better way is to talk about the nominal and peak ratings, which would make the Rad motor 750W/750W, which is not the same thing as 500W/750W, nor is it the same thing as 750W/1300W.
@@TheTechofTech Thanks for your reply : Watch this Bolton video Kyle of Bolton is highly respected in the industry, I purchased a Canadian bike because the motor was a True 750 W anruclips.net/video/7K87AIiXFpYh/видео.htmlttps://ruclips.net/video/LhdFcSFJkDU/видео.html they promised a 2 week shipping time, 7 weeks later delivered. Great bike, poor customer service of communication for a Real delivery date. Cant recommend them and No affiliation. If Rad had a TRUE 750 W motor I would purchase. Hate to say it word game is really Collusion Bafang/Rad. let me know what you think HONESTLY after viewing Bolton's vid. thanx.
I’ve seen that, and what I’ve already posted covers that. I think you’re missing the point of his video as well as what I’m saying. To simplify, calling motors by watts makes no sense anyway. It should be sustained and peak torque. This point is consistent with the issues he demonstrates in your linked video.
I wouldn’t cross the creek on *any* bike most days. It is faster and deeper than it looks. Years ago, it wouldn’t run so hard, but with so much new development upstream, the runoff has really taken its toll on that creek.
Cameron. Great video. I just got one of these Rovers, juuust missed the forest green. I’ll be checking out your new channel. Been “missing” you on the old channel. 😉
I like the Radwagon myself. It's the same price, but you have a large storage area or extra seating. Basically more bike for the same price. Other electric bikes do cost more, however the new mid drives if you can afford them are sweet. I live in a slightly hilly area and I've borrowed my friends Giant bike with mid-drive and it goes way better uphill since the motor can use the gears as well, unlike the rad bikes.
The RadWagon is awesome, but it’s not the right kind of bike for the riding you can do with a RadRover. It’s great that Rad offers so many choices, for sure.
Excellent review! We are saving for Rad EBikes. The regular bikes are kicking our butt. Thank you for the detailed video. The area you rode in is gorgeous!
I was looking at it again. It is a very pretty bike. And the disc breaks are a big sales point in my book. I was last on a 10 speed with rim breaks. Get them wet and they are nothing. For that close to 2k I want a test drive first. I wonder if they sell them at the bike shop down town? I know of a bike shop on Rt 1 also, that I could check out.
The BBSHD with the second battery on the rack in a panier fold out bag takes this bike to almost 3HP and will climb seriously steep hills effortlessly. But that does technically make it a motorcycle in most states...or so I hear.
i bought one in germany 2 days ago .... hope shippin donst take 2 weeks =) i dont want to use train for work anymore cause covid is rampant in germany at the moment
I do get way more positive comments than negative ones, but sometimes people get irrationally upset you're riding an ebike and want you to know about it.
Almost bought a RR back in 2019. When I added a rack, fenders, and a decent battery it was only $100 less than the Juiced Rip Current S, that had all that included plus hydraulic brakes! I also easily get 45+ miles per-charge. Every time I let someone on a RR ride my RCS they say "wow". Just my 2 cents but I would not even consider a RR over the RCS!
The RCS is an excellent bike, but it’s now $2,499. Do you still feel like someone should pay that for what you have over saving $900 and getting the current RadRover 5, which now comes with fenders and an excellent battery?
@@TheTechofTech RR is decent and at $1,600 probably the best option in that price range. FYI you can buy the base RC for $1,800. But add a big battery, fenders, rack, etc. and there you go at $2,500! But, I feel the RCS is just "more". Do not need more power, just more range. What I dislike is a 2nd battery that cost almost as much as a RR at $1,300! Waiting for new graphene tech cells and I will send these 52v 19.4 out to be rebuilt in a few years. Looking to ride the GAP and 45 miles max "safe range" is just not enough for a full day ride of 80'ish miles. And purchasing 2x $1,300 extra JB 52v 19.4 batteries is just crazy. And...the RCS just looks better.
I bought a Lectric XP back in 2019. Im an older guy. Theres days when i dont ride at all. But now my wife has got over her initial fear (haha) of the thang" and Im looking for another. Maybe a Rad model. Somewhere I read of a bike that recharged when you backpedaled. Does anybody recall that? I cant remember where I read that. Good video. Informative.
Rad had some bikes that are direct drive that have regen, but it doesn’t really do much to add range. The energy you’d put into pedaling backward to generate electricity would more efficiently be used to pedal forward and reduce the amount of power you use in the first place.
I so love your e-bike reviews! I have 1,200 saved to buy one & my car just broke down so I need one like yesterday.. I just do not know what the best one would be for that price.. wondering if you have any suggestions? I would be so appreciative if you would help me out & if you have any promotional suggestions it would be awesome!!! Thank you again & you are awesome at this .. I even watched a Tesla video to see your spin on that & I’m hooked! Wish you reviewed all electronics & vehicles! Lol! Thank you!
Bought a Radmini 4yrs ago, I'm 68, this got me back on the road again, 973mi. of just plane old fun ! a Burley Travoy carries all my gear an follows me like a shadow.
I know there are some folks who have taken issue with the Rad's Motor "rating"....relax everyone.........are there any Rad Rover owners with Buyer's Remorse??.... Certainly not me....have you recommended Rad bikes to friends?...I have... The more I ride and learn about e-bikes and this bike in particular, the happier I am with my purchase. I can't say that about a lot of "big ticket" items I have purchased and it has a solid upgrade path that I can afford to follow.... I have some mechanical and Technical skills and they will come together nicely when I tweak and mod this bike when the warranty expires.
@@grahamsmall1250 The twist throttle bumps the motor to level 5 (the max) of the peddle assist which is really useful for acceleration from a standing start (traffic lights I pull away quicker than cars). The range can vary is it really hilly? but on flat the bike is so easy to peddle I only use level 1 motor assist, I live in yorkshire, very hilly and got a hundred miles out of one charge but I didn't use the motor all the time or just level 2 or 3.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few years to the ebike industry, it's alrready started expanding at an incredible rate that was accelerated by the covid. New models with more options, better designs, longer range batteries built into the frame rather than attached to a tube, more power, better parts, all of this with lower prices. If they want to stay in the front of the pack they are going to have to look into the future or they are going to be left in the dust by all of the others who are going to be going after market share.
Integrated batteries definitely look cool, but you suddenly become beholden to the manufacturer’s ability and desire to supply replacement batteries in the future. With externally mounted batteries, you’ll have a much easier time getting a replacement because it won’t necessarily have to have the same shape and dimensions. So, just because you see batteries mounted the way Rad does does not represent a tech deficit- it’s really a philosophical choice as much as anything.
That is true about the batteries, I never thought about it. But they do look really cool and are probably more protected. Just like anything else with batteries there will be alternatives made by others eventually.
@@TheTechofTech No you dont become beholden just bc they are integrated ! what planet are you from ? Batteries can be put in any style of casing package and form factor. Rad makes crappy ebikes, and its sad you have chosen to review such junk. There are 300 brands out there, and you pick a brand where they do nothing but put their logo on a chinese cloned frame, made at the cheapest factory they can find. no quality control, and no R&D from Rad. Just picking colors from a menu, and selecting also ran components, to sell at a high price, versus what they pay, and a 250% mark up, to help pay for a very bloated staff.
For $100 less, the Himiway has a larger Samsung 17.5ah battery, includes a rear rack, and in the step-thru version, a lower stepover. It also can be unlocked to run at Class III speeds if desired. It also carries a 2 year warranty. No competition in my mind.
Thanks for the ride,….. I appreciate your insights and sharing knowledge,….I really like that bike (and here comes the hard part )……convincing my wife to buy it,…..she’s so cheap
Nice review. I have two thoughts: 1. Wherever that is, you live in a beautiful area. 2. You’re quite adept at speaking while riding! (Not many edits, so I assume not many outtakes.)
Thanks so much! I am definitely doing a ton of jump cuts in the riding portions, but I think those are obvious. It's not so much for outtakes as it is to get a 90-minute ride with talking throughout down to a watchable length. I do tend to pick the sections where what I say is more efficiently stated. However, I've been making videos for almost 9 years now and have gotten very used to how to relay information on camera.
I’d never choose a bike based upon what seat it came with because that’s easy and cheap to change. However, I find the seat great, and as you can see in the video, I’m not using it for cruising. Thanks for watching!
Yeah.. you wear a camel back and the water in the holders on the bike is for a moment to enjoy scenery, or, stretch of city traffic.. you can fill the Camelback.. or take a moment's drink.
The thing about Rad ebikes is that a large percentage of their buyers *only* ride to enjoy the scenery and aren’t going to wear a Camelback when riding. It is good for them to know there isn’t a good place to put a water bottle when they’re making their purchase decision. Thanks for watching!
I've only had it for about.4 months, actually, and we've had no snow to ride in. Brake fluid will not be impacted by temps you'd likely be willing to ride in.
Awesome review. Thanks. Which trail were you riding? It looked great. I realized that you are also in Raleigh so I'm hoping it was something local so I can check it out.
from canada ..... love the rad however in canada it is limited to a 500w bike and not powerful enough to go up any large hill. i have upgraded the hub motor to 750w and ordered a new controller from bolton bikes.
I read that the stock hub motor isnt a true 750 . The compare the internal structure of the stock hub to one purchased after market and its a huge difference.... as per bolton bikes
I've covered this multiple times in the comments already. There is no such thing as a "true 750W" motor. It's a stupid way to name a motor by its sustainable output. The Rad motor is capable of 750W sustained, but also peaks at 750W. This is different than a standard Bafang 500W motor and a standard Bafang 750W motor. What do you call a motor that can sustain 750W if not a 750W motor? The whole naming scheme used by the industry just doesn't work for something like the Rad motor.
Certain pieces like the top tube and head tube might be the same, but the frames are definitely different in most places. There is certainly a company pumping out parts that many bike companies use, but that doesn’t mean that the complete frames are all coming off the same lines, too.
great review, so much intelligent factual / technical content + relaxing ride - would Love to have that trail near me - u would see me there most days :)
So I have seen the cheap Walmart e-bike, and this is the best seller. This looks like a good choice to me as I am thinking about an e-bike for exercise, without having to walk it up hills. I haven't been on a bike of any kind for many years. What kind of price tag does this model have?
@@TheTechofTech Thanks for the info. It is a pretty cool looking bike. But 2000 give or take, is a lot to spend on a bike. I think 5 - 700 is a lot to spend. If I buy one will I use it????? No idea what I was thinking when I said you had over a year. Nov seems so long ago for some reason. You've had no snow? I know your in the USA but I also thought the USA was blanketed for the first time ever about a week ago from all the media buzz. Be well👍😎
Ha! The continental US is 3.5x the size of Western Europe. Some places got snow that don’t normally have snow but no, the entirely of the US did not get snow.

@@specialist-in-tech So who is the best ebike company in your opinion.
Lol)
I've got a seriously bad back and I'm ten years senior to you and have to face some realities (too many heavy sessions at the squat rack starting at 19 yrs old).
That’s awesome!!
I had a compression fracture do I'm worried about hitting hard bumps. Is this bike OK for that if I lift up?
@@mwood65 yes, I believe so. However, another option would be to consider the Radrunner Plus, or any of the other models that have suspension. The sales reps at RadPower are pretty good.
The Rad Rover is the best ! I've had mine 3yrs no problem, Black ,small front rack ,rear orange rack ,no fenders.Baddass .compliments all the time .
I have a green one on order. This was a really good vid to show how i intend to use mine. I enjoyed your style of presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing!
Remember to wear hi vis clothing, really helps getting noticed , when you're riding in traffic.
Hey! Have you had to replace the battery yet?
Best review I’ve seen! Thank you for putting this together. I ordered the Rad Rover 6 plus!
Glad it was helpful!
When I first got mine I rode it so much to where I was in pain. Couldn't ride it any longer. Ordered a suspension seatpost and a new seat and all is fine.
Just ordered my seat post too!
This will be my 5th season with my Radrover. Will put new tires on it this year. Love this bike.

i enjoyed the ride through the nature trails..looks like fun
Glad you enjoyed it
I think it will be exactly what you’re hoping it will be.
Hi are you still happy with your radrover
What type of upgrade did you use and where did you purchase it? Thx
I'm actually planning on upgrading my Rad Runner up.
Great video!
Excellent in-depth video with explanation. I am about to order my first (hopefully only) eBike - RadRover 5. Thank you 😊 🇨🇦
Glad it was helpful, and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the personal report!
Awesome review! I just bought a RadRover and two RadRunners. Should be here next week. After watching your video and especially the trail ride I can’t wait to get mine set up and get riding. I’m in snow country and look forward to some slide riding. Thanks for the review. You got me Psyched.

Great video. I have the same Rad Rover 5 in green colour. Love it!
Good information for us newbies. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent in depth video, probably the best review if not infomercial I've seen to date,
I steered clear of Rad when Bolton and Citizen Cycle exposed the 500Watt nominal Bafang motor labeled as a 750Watt.
@@TheTechofTech Thanks for your reply : Watch this Bolton video
Kyle of Bolton is highly respected in the industry, I purchased a Canadian bike because the motor was a True 750 W anruclips.net/video/7K87AIiXFpYh/видео.htmlttps://ruclips.net/video/LhdFcSFJkDU/видео.html they promised a 2 week shipping time, 7 weeks later delivered.
There’s no conspiracy theory to see here.

Great review !!! I really enjoyed the trail ride! 🙂🙂
Nice and thorough review! But I would have LOVED to see you cross that creek on that bike!
I wouldn’t cross the creek on *any* bike most days. It is faster and deeper than it looks. Years ago, it wouldn’t run so hard, but with so much new development upstream, the runoff has really taken its toll on that creek.

Do you like it? Was going to order my 15 year old son one tonight...
Video is over a year old but you sold me on the RadRover brand. Thanks
Glad I could help!
Excellent review! We are saving for Rad EBikes. The regular bikes are kicking our butt. Thank you for the detailed video. The area you rode in is gorgeous!
Thank you! I will be releasing a new video riding singletrack with 360 video this Thursday. I think you'll enjoy that one, too.
Excellent review and ride video. Thanks for such a great Job. Very enjoyable.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Really well done vid! Thank you!!! Looks exactly like the type of riding I want to do and seems like the perfect bike for me. I want one!

So many folk comment on the bike when you go past them normally "whoa cool bike dude".
I do get way more positive comments than negative ones, but sometimes people get irrationally upset you're riding an ebike and want you to know about it.
Yup. They say you’re cheating. 😎 At 60 yrs old I don’t care what negative comments they say. 😝
Wow now I want one. Great price!
If they will convert to a pedal torque sensor instead of cadence then it's almost perfect.
Really nice bike RadRover5 I’m impressed
I have 1,200 saved to buy one & my car just broke down so I need one like yesterday.. a Burley Travoy carries all my gear an follows me like a shadow.
Love my RAD Rover 5 TOO all though mine is very very far from stock....

How much was it
@@grahamsmall1250 1500 gbp
Thanks for the reply , do you think it possible to cycle 40 miles on a single charge also does it have a twist throttle
@@specialist-in-tech any better suggestions?
Age 71 sold my F150 and bought 2. I for a friend or spare battery for longer rides. I don’t need a car anymore!

For $100 less, the Himiway has a larger Samsung 17.5ah battery, includes a rear rack, and in the step-thru version, a lower stepover. It also can be unlocked to run at Class III speeds if desired. It also carries a 2 year warranty.

Nice review. I have two thoughts:
I can't ride downtown without seeing at least 3 rad bikes.
Superb video that makes me want to buy one! Where is the park?

What made you choose a bike with a regular bike seat? Seems like ebikes like this are for cruising.
I’d never choose a bike based upon what seat it came with because that’s easy and cheap to change. However, I find the seat great, and as you can see in the video, I’m not using it for cruising. Thanks for watching!

Hi great review my problem is I'm in Lancashire England can you get the rad rover 5 in the UK.??? Please
What's that little thing mounted on the downtube? Oh its a small battery 😆
Largest tooth number you can have on cassette?
Largest it comes with?
Smallest Chainring?
Yeah.. you wear a camel back and the water in the holders on the bike is for a moment to enjoy scenery, or, stretch of city traffic.. you can fill the Camelback.. or take a moment's drink.
The thing about Rad ebikes is that a large percentage of their buyers *only* ride to enjoy the scenery and aren’t going to wear a Camelback when riding. It is good for them to know there isn’t a good place to put a water bottle when they’re making their purchase decision. Thanks for watching!
Nice review, You've had it over a year now. Have you ridden it in the snow? Do you think hydraulic brakes would be okay in negative temps?👍😎
I've only had it for about.4 months, actually, and we've had no snow to ride in. Brake fluid will not be impacted by temps you'd likely be willing to ride in.

Hi Paul I'm from Lancashire England where did you get your rad rover from any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
from canada ..... love the rad however in canada it is limited to a 500w bike and not powerful enough to go up any large hill. i have upgraded the hub motor to 750w and ordered a new controller from bolton bikes.
Is that some sort of Canadian regulation?
@@TheTechofTech yes . I love the bike though. I cant wait for the new controller which will make a huge difference.
Thank you for the review, do you think that the Himiway Cruiser and Rad Rover 5 use the same frame?
Certain pieces like the top tube and head tube might be the same, but the frames are definitely different in most places. There is certainly a company pumping out parts that many bike companies use, but that doesn’t mean that the complete frames are all coming off the same lines, too.
Great review; the best I've seen. Thank you.

Current price is always linked in the video description and pinned in the comments.
@@TheTechofTech Thanks for the info. It is a pretty cool looking bike. But 2000 give or take, is a lot to spend on a bike. I think 5 - 700 is a lot to spend. If I buy one will I use it????? I certainly wouldn't bother with a non e-bike now. Wouldn't even think about it. But strangely, I want something I can pedal, but not up hill.
My wife and I are getting into e-bikes. As we’re scrolling through RUclips, I say let’s watch this one. No way, that’s Twang n Bang! Haha!!
Yep! This is my tech channel.

My area of North Carolina gets a significant snow once every few years. We got a dusting once this year, but it didn’t even stick to the roads at all.
"east and west" lol! Hilarious!
