Hi Jordy, thanks for the shout out, glad you liked my idea, i must say it looks fantastic! The whole piece is inspiring. I actually live no where near Paris, closer to Grenoble and the Alps but yes, definitely France, lol. 😁
I'm in the uk 🇬🇧 jordy I love everything about the vikings and saxons metaldetecting is a passion of mine and we dig up many artifacts viking saxon roman look up the story of the Sutton hoo helmet it's the uks most important treasures. Your carving as made my day 👌👌👌
I know what's going on..what's going on is that this viking spirit is absolutely WICKED and looks just amazing man..GREAT JOB...DAMN nice job Jordy....fricking love it man.
That’s my inspiration, the fact that you don’t know what’s going on and you go at it. That’s the beauty of your carvings no fear you inspire me, I don’t use Dremel but I use knifes keep up the good work and I’m sorry to hear about your friends passing.
It turned out really good. I love the metallic finish on it. If you get some lighter fluid, (Naptha), and mix it in your dried out gold paste wax, it will soften the gold was back up. Excellent carving. 💕♥️💕
Metallic wax took this Viking spirit to another level, awesome job!!! If you want a little less protein in your coffee those expensive paint trays might make good cup lids, keep on carvin'
Really great with the helmet. Liking the effort you put in figuring out how to make it work. It's opened yet another door and realm of ideas for carving. Was wondering if you've ever made a furious wood spirit? "Wrath of the Wood King" or something along those lines?
Your so Wright I spent years at art collage in Edinburgh and this is what we were tought trial and error and this is how we make great art through trying it out some times it works great and sometimes not. But this is how we learn 😃 amazing job Jordy 👍
Awesome Viking WoodSpirit bro in the words of Jim Carrie "I like it.. I like it a lot" it looks WICKED !. Really like that paste stuff I'll have to see if we can get it in the UK thanks for sharing bro & hope your good buddy.
Jordy: question guys do you know what's going on. Answer: yes I know what's going on, you are really turning out some fantastic peices. You are really dialing in your craft. Looks fantastic
Hey Jordy, I am intrigued by cottonwood bark, but I don't really know what it is. In a video, can you explain what it actually is, where it comes from, and where do you find it for your carving projects? I assume that it is bark from a cotton wood tree. How do you harvest it from the tree and how thick does it need to be? I love your carvings that you do with the cottonwood bark and I want to try carvings using cottonwood bark. Thank you so much. 💕♥️💕
Awesome work. Btw I think you will waste less paint if you just squeeze the bottle a little and get the color on the brush, instead of using those very expensive trays :)
#iworkatmichaels the wax polishes that Jordy is using are the craftsmart wax fonishes available at Michael's craft store for about $7.49 each. Disclaimer I do work for Michaels
@@CarvingFusion Your welcome, I know we (at least at some of the Michael's stores, including the one I work at, and online) are now carrying Dremel Rotary tools (3000, Dremel Lite and the Dremel Stylo) along with some of the accessory kits and the Dremel Flex Shaft. After watching this vid I am now thinking Friday when I go in to work picking up some of the Premium Wax Finishes. Also will be ordering a couple of the Kutzall carving burrs, one of course will the flame burr. Enjoying your vids immensely as I start on my path down learning to power carve, used to do knife carving back over 25 years ago or so when I was in Boy Scouts, and I had gotten pretty good at carving various designs such as the Order of Arrow and BSA logos, though today would probably have to sit and practice for quite a while as haven't carved in at least 15 years. Keep up the great vids they are giving me a ton of inspiration and ideas.
