Also, just wanted to comment regarding the series Last Kingdom on Netflix includes several of the places you have visited and is set in about the same time frame in the middle ages around the viking / danish invasions. If you haven't watched the series I highly recommend it.
what a beautiful place x my son is studying at Durham university but i haven't been able to make it up there to see it due to health problems, loving the new accent x
I believe that the interior of the cathedral itself was used for filming Thor The Dark World, as well as the time travel scenes from Avengers Endgame that took place during that movie.
Next time u are across here u should visit Dunfermline Abbey, Palace and Monastery, the Abbey has the grave off both King Robert the Bruce and Saint Margaret
