True, the original is one of my all-time favorite scenes, but this is still fun.

Ugh, it looks all so fake, unlike the original, which has to be one of the best edited and directed musical numbers in the history of cinema, feeling completely organic, really improvised - which wasn't! - and poignant, even showing glances to the soul of the cast and underlining how they will connect at school.
